I'm starting a beauty therapy course next year and all your videos have been so informative on the beauty industry and only further affirms my decision in pursuing a career in this lovely field of work
Got an interview tomorrow and this lowered my nerves so much thank you!! X
Got the job! ❤️
Congrats Francesca bull
That's so sad that there are people like that as managers that feel insecure when they see a good CV. Thats mad.
Thank you for sharing this, I've got a test day tomorrow so this so helpful!
You are so incredibly professional...it’s so helpful...love you 😘😘😘😘
Thank you! xx

You looking so pretty 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Very helpful cute! 💖
You are gold! So much great advice. Thank you
your expression is so adorable :D
should you ask about wages if they ask you if you have any question for them?
what if i have not really good English skills but can do basic everyday English, is that a problem for this job?
Thank you :D I ALWAYS ask about the wage because I want to know so that I can decide whether I still want the job. When they ask you if you have any questions for them, that is a good time to ask about the wage.
I have worked with sooooo many beauty therapists who do not speak English very well but they are very good at their job! Do not lose confidence and do not be scared. When you start working and speak English everyday, your English will get better I promise!
You know how much I like u
You know how and what to talk about.
Thank you very much....
This was very helpful
Do not knock on the door write a note and slide it under the door 😂😂😂
So helpful! Thank you 😊
This was really helpful thank you
What would you recommend for someone who is interviewing for a beauty therapist apprenticeship? I have no experience but am really passionate about it but I need some help with what to say, thanks xx
So I was asked about skin layers? None of those questions were on my interview!
Hi Melis, I really like your's videos it helps me a lot to get new information. I did my Beauty therapist level 2 course a few years ago but I never worked as a serious beauty therapist. I decided to get the job as a BT now just I am a bit scare because I do not have that much experience. Do you think to build a new portfolio is important?
J Palacková We don’t have portfolios so I advise you practice some treatments ready for your trade tests for interviews
You r helpful 😘👍
HELP HELP HELP Im 32 and want to get into the beauty industry can anyone recommend any good short courses that aren't too expensive or can I work my up????
White rose beauty college provide good training and a decent price. They are now called learning curve.
Hey! I really liked your video ☺️..but I have a question. I have just recently completed a makeup course and now I want to work under a makeup artist or any good salon . And I got to know that I have to be fully experienced in every work like waxing, hairstyling, spa ,etc for salon jobs but I only know Makeup ...so what should I do to start my career? Can you please help me ❤️
Hi! Makeup isn’t my area but I do recommend applying for jobs that directly link to your makeup course. A makeup counter (e.g Benefit, Nars, Too Faced etc) can be a good place to start your career to gain experience. There are salons that specialise in hair, makeup and photoshoots. You can be their makeup artist. They send you on further training to develop your skills so this can also be a good option. Once you gain some experience you will have an idea of what you like the most. You can possibly look into mobile makeup artist (e.g Blow ltd) once you’ve gained some experience. There are many options it just depends on what you want to do 💗
I have over all 11 years of experience
Hi i am indian i need job in canada if we come there will i get job
Do beauty therapists make alot of money? more money than hairdressers?
Hai meile.!!
M ur new subscriber.
I think ur vedio will really help me out. As tomorrow m having interview...
I want to ask u one question that is which salon i should prefer working with? The small startup salon owned by a good owner or go for the big brand salon??? Please help me out.
Simnu Ngi That is a very good question and a difficult one to answer. I believe they both have pros and cons. In general, some small family owned salons don’t pay for your training and can cause trouble when booking holidays. But sometimes you are treated a bit better in a small salon.
Some big brand salons don’t pay u a decent amount and it’s soooo busy you’ll be thrown in the deep end and be booked up back to back. I’m just saying in general, they are not all like that.
When working for a brand new salon, it can take a while for it to get busy. This can give you time to learn everything slowly so when it does get busy you will be prepared. It may be a good experience - you watching the salon grow into a success. This will help guide you, if you ever wanted to open a salon yourself. I hope I’ve helped in some way I’m sorry if I made you feel confused 🙈
U mean to say I hv to go for a small one rite??.
Thanxew Melis.
For ur great advices.
So i have decided to go for the startup salon.
I’m so nervoussss
I would love to do a job like this. Im going tl college next year and really want to do a beauty course. I know that there are not many males in this field. Is it appropriate and practical for a male to work in the beauty industry?
Yes definitely! I recommend you listen to a podcast called 'The Beauty Edit' on Spotify. They have interviewed a few males in the industry and it is very inspiring!
@@melisatesbel thank you 👍
