This is true Frankie Laine! I had the privilege of having Frank as a friend, and he was truly genuine, always recognising that hi fans had made him what he was. He was a kind thoughtful person. You would be hard pressed to find such another in the entertainment industry.
Lucky you! That's my favorite song by Frankie "That's My Desire!" I wished I could have been setting in that audience when he sang back in 1981 the 50's at the Waldorf with Rosemary Clooney, Guy Mitchell, the 4 Lads, there were othes but Frankie stood out!
