My hope is that one day my children will witness such leadership in Washington again.
Wish politics could be more civil.
This was when Washington had the love of international. Those days we missed.
Fr. Monan, Irish Prime Minister Garret FitzGerald, U.S. Speaker of House Thomas P. 'Tip' O'Neill '36, and President Ronald Reagan at the O'Neill Tribute Dinner in Washington, DC, March 17, 1986.
Irish "Taoiseach", literally "chieftain".
Having just watched the Jan, 6th committee, I wonder how we've fallen so far and fast from March 1986.
People that service protect 🇺🇸
The good ol' days...I sure do miss 'em.
I am here because I was listening to Ravi Zacharias being interviewed and he mentioned Tip going to Reagan's bed side to pray for him when the latter was shot, though they had different political views
President Reagan was so funny 🤣
I was there
I am just barely old enough to vaguely remember these two gents, and I have to say, I miss this kind of "family that disagrees" style of politics.
Its the very thing the Russia's and China's of the world feared about us, and the very thing we need to get back to make sure that our children, and their children, are safe.
Nancy Pelosi, you are NO Tip O’Neill!
