I use the 2 point rotation. It just seems easier to remember what I’m doing no matter what part of my head I’m on. It also makes it easier to end on the “down” rotation. I have medium density hair but I wanna look like I have high density hair.
My loctician started with 4 point. Now I’m self re-tieing I find it much easier to 3 point without accidentally combining stands. I also like big hair and want a fuller look to my locs. I think 2 point would be too fluffy and limit my styling options.
Awesome tutorial very clear and precise. I started my micro locs with twist and self maintained for the first six months with a four point rotation and then changed to a 2 point
Hello, I do the 3 point rotation. I have a question about when you were renting your hair. Did you retire all you hair to land backwards. I'm asking bc I really like how yours turned out an im new to reties so I wanted to make sure im making mines lay in the correct direction
You lay your locs the direction YOU want to lay them. Whether it's to the back for a flatter look, down making a middle part, upwards to get volume etc.
Beautiful and an easier way to lock .I have done my locks myself from watching every video teaching this style . I have finished mine over a week taking long rest as I wasn’t sure if I want it but I managed to finished and now am always the mirror can’t believe how nice it looks on me .What is the needle called so I can order me one ,please .Thanks Sis . Stay blessed.
Aw thanks love, and you will! I've gotten to the point now where Im jus trusting the process and I don't worry about my hair as much as I did when I started and it's now just flying by
Gorgeous! How long did this retie take? I know you said one of your retie sessions took 12 hours. I'm gonna let my hair grow until july and then gonna start mine using the same method!❤
My reties take all day, I start I'm the a.m and finish in the p.m. I take breaks in between. my starter locs took 12.5 started with two strand twist! Good luck to you when you start, u will love them
When one does the three point loc, if u are starting at 6 oclock and you end at 12 oclock, the next time u retighten ur hair, wont there be a hole in a loc or unraveling since u have gone through opposite sides?
Hello your locs are nice n thick.. very beautiful... I started mine in July as well.... and also just started my RUclips channel to document my journey...
Guys help me out... So I have done micro twist with no intention to loc them Can I retie to keep it neat for a month or two and take them out later 😅😅😅

I believe you only get holes if you do the same rotation twice in the row

Pretty
I like your hair, I’m now a year in the locs, do you think it’s a must to have a loctician?
No I don't think it's a must, but some ppl who diy there locs do like to visit one ever so often
What are the different styles u do with u Loc’s
I don't do much at all, to my locs. I'm waiting for them to mature a little more. I wear basic style if I do. Pin it back or ponytails. 😊
Guys help me out...

Can I retie to keep it neat for a month or two and take them out later 😅😅😅
You can but it would likely be more hassle then it’s worth if you interlocked the top
