I been retieing since I started my locs a year ago . I’m switching to retwist and I’m so excited . I dread doing a retie literally and it’s a lot of holes in them which I know I can fix . I’m like um no let me start retwisting and see if it works for me . Locs are fun and i fell out of love with mine too but I’m trying to love them again lol your hair is beautiful ❤

Retwist

I have noticed with my locs my curls, twist outs and braid outs last so long

When you retwist and then wash it, doesn't the new growth get back loose?

You have to have patience for these retighten

Perso. J'ai posé des mèches sur mes microlocks qui n'étaient pas encore matures en faisant chaque groupes de 4 séparés dans 4 fausses mèches et il n'y a eu aucun dégâts. C'est sûrement dû aux poids des fausses mèches.

Finally found locs that look just like mine. I'm at 5 weeks now. I planned to do my first retie at 3 months, but I may just get it done at 8 weeks instead

When I comb the new growth before retwisting, it holds better.

Does it feel waxy it dries? Or does the color transfer onto your clothing when it's dried?

I opened up 2 rows of my locs last year. The rest my hair is long but section is shorter by a 4-6 inches basically when you open them they restart the entire process. Having longer hair does help so its not so obvious, but those shorter peices will grow back out... I would suggest to maybe give it another yr or 2 then if you want to, trim the locs to be more even in length.. Dont do this until the re-formed locs are matured

I was literally contemplating buying or constructing a new tool for reties, prior to discovering your video. This is clarification for us who aren't familiar with what's already been shared/discussed. I too use the crochet latch hook & was hoping to find something quicker to maneuver. I also have that one thick metal needle, but that's a bit too big/painful after a couple rotations. THANKS 4 SHARING!
