    My hair is 3c and 4a, for fuller locks I use 2 point rotation. This allows more swelling. For 4 c hair some would prefer 4pt rotation to avoid the xtra wide afro look. 4c hair need 4 point rotation to have less swelling because 4c hair naturally swells better than 3c hair.

      hair getting 'extra wide afro look' isnt about type 3, 4 or 5, it is about hair density. I have *fine* 4c hair and I want more volume (the extra wide look u seem to think is bad). My 4c hair does not swell alot just because it is 4c. Thicker density swells faster than finer density.

    I been 2pt rotation for 3 years of my loc journey and my locs don’t look flat. They coil & shrink up and are very cylindrical.

      @aramideugbomeh  2 года назад +12

      That's sounds good and will sure look beautiful too. Everyone Hair texture and density aren't the same so the outcome will definitely not be. That's why it is not advisable to compare locs.

    From your description of the 3 point and 4 point rotation, you are making the hair to stand up instead of laying downward.

    • @aramideugbomeh
      @aramideugbomeh  2 года назад +11

      My dear, you end up in the direction you want your loc to lay, especially is you have short locs. If you have long locs it really does not matter because the weight of the Loc will fall in which ever direction you drop it.

    • @oluomalocs4964
      @oluomalocs4964 2 года назад +5

      It actually depends on several factors - 1) the style you're trying to achieve after retie 2) Where your major hair parts are 3) the loctitian's handedness (whether left or right) 🙂
      Even on the same head, at the same appointment, what you do might vary depending on the current context or circumstances.
      I've had so many clients request I do a video on this that I think it's high time I did. Many thanks for giving me the final kick in the pants 😄

    • @aramideugbomeh
      @aramideugbomeh  Год назад +1

      You're welcome beautiful 🤍The size makes sense as long as she has the patience for you to retie. If you don't have any problem with 2 point rotation, it's fine. 4 point rotation makes the hair more compacted and slimmer, if that's appealing to you then try it.
