I always wish they could show the cut when it's NOT stylex, as it would be easier to know if it's a high or low maintenance style (whether it looks nice/the same without styling)
For me who has wavy hair I can let the hair be without styling but my bangs always need extra attention but I always have to do that with my bangs. It’s curl weird on top 😂 I have medium thick hair. A little less than what she has on the video :)

It depends on your personal hair texture, but I have medium-wavy hair (2A-2B hair type) and when I don’t style my butterfly cut, it gives vibes of a kind of 90’s rock shag but in the best way! ☺️ it can easily be modified to fit other aesthetics by tucking behind the ears, pulling strands out, adding barrettes, or in major cases just throwing it in a hair clip/ponytail and calling it a day!
YES! Because my hair doesn't care about products and heat. It is stubborn and will not hold curls.

@@ashtrixgaming Thats a really good point! I have a ridiculously jagged natural side part with a huge cowlick (my mother always said it looked like I'd "parted my hair with a runaway lawnmower") and this style would take mad upkeep to work on me.

What do you know, another case of "if you're pretty enough, you can make anything look good". If you never thought it "looked good" on someone, it's definitely just because you thought that person was unattractive.
Such a treat: a natural beauty enhancing her beauty instead of distorting it with neon colored dye, piercings, or tattoos. I hope this is a trend.

I'd say, more like Farrah Fawcett than feather cut. Girls in school had their beautiful hair changed to a feather cut. it was relatively shorter on top and stole all the volume. the Farrah cut is a classically flattering and can be worn up or down.

It depends on how the stylist cuts the layers. Maybe try asking for round layers.
She looks like kylie jenner a few years ago like when she’d had some cosmetic treatments but not everything she currently has also the hair looks really pretty and so does she and it suits her so well :)

I'd love having hair like that! I'm stuck with waist length, very straight, fine hair. It won't hold curls and is either too static/flyaway or limp/oily. Braids, ponytails, or buns are all I can manage as I'm in my 50s and have a hard time even brushing through it thoroughly.

It’s a beautiful cut but my problem would be on those days I don’t feel like styling it. I’ve heard it’s a cut that has to be styled everyday because of the layers it doesn’t pull up into a bun or ponytail well. That’s the only reason I don’t get it. It is cute though 🦋

I've been wearing this style for a decade! It's super versatile but I tend to go a little longer in the front to accommodate curling it. Nice to see it's on trend so hopefully I can find someone who doesn't muck it up next time I need a trim.

This is what I asked for and the stylist cut FOUR!!! inches off my hair! It took me awhile to grow it for a special occasion..ugh!! Never again!!
I had a hair dresser tell me she took four inches, but she really took 10" off... I was pissed off! Last time I went in, to a different shop... this crazy woman comes my wet, 24" hair from the top, and it only looked ok for 1.5 days, she charged me 160.00 and wanted a tip too it would have been fine had she done a nice and conditioned job, but it looked like crap.
@@planetclaire820boulder8 that is so wrong!! The lady that cut my hair only charged $45 but then pushed her $40 shampoo & $40 conditioner on me. I told her I couldn't afford it and she said,"oh honey!" "You can pay me next time". "Next time!!" There won't be a next time. She also said, "you'll get over it in a day or two". I'm still regretting it! I had plans to wear it long to a graduation. I learned my lesson.

I did the butterfly cut with the ponytails pulled foreward ontop of the head. Seen people do it on Brad Mondos page. It works.

Back in the 70’s we had the same styles called “Feathering”. We referred to the sides of the face as “Wings”, aptly so!Looks as lovely as it did back then! Glad to see it’s return!
