Hey Guys In today's video I will be sharing with you how I make my DIY Hair Growth Shea Butter! This is one of my favorite recipes to make because I love turning the shea butter into a creamy whip! Shea butter is super moisturizing on my hair and the moisture lasts for a really long time! It's the perfect DIY moisturizer! Mix it with my hair growth oil (maryamhampton.com) and you have the perfect hair moisturizer that will help you retain length! When you use it do you use with a leave in or apply it on your hair like that. I always thought shea butter was kinda like an oil.
I use it with a water based leave in like the one I used in the video.
Either or. Use it everyday and overnight treatments.

I must have made mines wrong because it got hard again. Is it supposed to stay nicely whipped and smooth or does it get hard again?
From what ive read from the other comments.. You have to whip it up for at least 15minutes and make sure tou have enough oils in there

Once a month for 15 mins. Rice water has a lot of protein so u have to limit it.

Doesnt shea butter create a barrier? Whenever i try to use it, i have to make sure im not turning back because nothing else will penetrate my strands after that. I wish it didnt have to be that way because it makes my hair so soft. So i just moisturize the heck out of it before applying the shea butter. It seems like a super SUPER sealant.
Yes the same for me lol. It’s like a barrier and nothing else will penetrate through my strands again until I shampoo it out

How do you keep you whipped butter soft? When I make mine it hardens back 😩

Mine used to do the same, cause I use unrefined raw Shea from Ghana.However I whipped it again for 10 min and added some oils, it stays fluffy.
I just add more oil and stir
You have to whip it for a while. I'd say 10-15 minutes. Mine used to whip up nicely and then harden later but once i started whipping it for 15 minutes, it doesn't revert!
The longer you whip it the fluffier the consistency and the longer it will stay fluffy!
