This scene was in like the first 10 minutes of the film and my immediate reaction was: No matter what they do next, this is the best scene of the movie!
I love this scene. The fact it sets up how close he and his daughter are, to Jean looking at them with a bit of wistfulness that shows she wishes she had it with their father. Very warm but a little sad.
Jiji dudes... first listening remembered me of 'Hallelujah', and Then When i started listening a little more it comes to me 'I've got you babe'... so weird! Best mashup!!
I really have to be in the right mood to watch Adam Sandlers man-child type characters. Watching this was amazing to see him actually acting and not going for the laugh. Loved this scene.... beautiful xx
Two months ago, after a twenty year hiatus; I saw "Pixels", twice, back to back (my children loved it, as did I). Have been devouring Adam Sandler's back catalogue ever since. Was surprised at the depth of character in "Reign Over Me" and "Click". "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" is now my favourite flick. Unable to live now without a daily dose of the Sandman...am grateful for the upload.
After a rather awful few weeks, at a point where I have been wondering constantly whether my eight year old daughter really loves being at my house and spending time with me. Not because she looks or sounds unhappy (quite the opposite) but because of my own insecurities I guess, this song had me crying like a child.
I wish RUclips kept track of your view count on videos, because I seriously think I'm over 1,000 for this video, if leaving it on Loop counted as 1 view each.

My biggest WTF moment of this film is... why is Adam Sandler's character SUPER comfortable watching his daughter naked, having sex, in a porno? He's watches it like it's nothing!
1. she’s not really having sex 2. internally you can see he’s not into it but i guess he’s mature enough to know that letting his daughter know he doesn’t like it does absolutely nothing except make her resent him so he may as well be positive
I completely agree. It feels so out of place for the whole movie cause damn near everything else was quite touching and heartfelt but that felt so out of the blue and a bit unnerving. You go from this sweet scene of a father and daughter singing a song from when she was a kid, and then you see what her main thing is, and it’s jarring to say the least.
You clearly haven't watched the film carefully. First, it's not a porno, it's just a silly experimental student film. Second, she's an artist and that's how she expresses herself artistically, through nakedness and provocation. He understands that and that's why doesn't judge it respecting her vision even if he's not really thrilled about the subject matter itself. And that's another beautiful thing about their relationship.
@@TrentPruitt1997 on the contrary, that's just as beautiful a moment as the song scene. Seeing his uneasiness during the film viewing but then showing his complete support to his daughter understanding that it's her way of expressing herself as an artist and never judging her for it despite not being exactly comfortable about the subject matter himself, was extremely moving and only added to the greatness of their relationship.

Every time Adam Sandler is forced to actually act, he turns in Oscar award worthy performances. It's so weird
Victor Kong a great actor
You're right man
the guy went to school for acting.
Forced? Lol he can make decisions like everyone else believe it or not.

Every now and then I am reminded Adam Sandler can act. Why can't I see this Adam Sandler more often?
KELLSONIC ikr, he was so great in this
Another movie he is great is reign over me
Comedy make more money sometimes i guess
Check out uncut gems if you haven’t seen it yet, amazing movie and performance
There is a lot of him featuring in films man
The part where he kinda exhaled furiously but calmly trying to keep his cool after saying "i still hate myself for that" leaves SOOO much to discover.
This scene is why Adam is one of my favorite actors.
This piece is stunning. Oh my tears....
this piece makes me cry
and there’s always you, and there’s always me, and there’s always us
I love this scene so much.
I love it. The beginning of the song reminds me of "I Got You Babe" Sonny and Cher.
This movie has a special place in my heart
This makes me really emotional
Such a beautiful song! I can hear little bits of Hallelujah, I Got You Babe, Catch The Wind and the theme from Badlands.
and Perfect Day by Lou Reed, particularly the "keeps me hanging on" chord sequence
This is one of my favorite songs of all time
Hallelujah, that’s what it sounds like to me. Took me forever to figure out.
Joseph Casarez it's sonny and Cher 'I've got you babe'

This scene hit me right in the gut. My daughter is also an only child and we are also super close.
THis is a perfect song!! In all imperfections its so so so beautiful!
Eu, a Rainha e 3 princesas. To me that’s what makes it beautiful :)
When Adam Sandler isn’t making dumb comedies, I almost forget that the guy is super talented.
This is the custest cheesiest song ever 😍 feels like a kimya Dawson song
i thought the exact same thing when i heard it! i love kimya dawson
kimya dawson mixed with i got you babe :) incredible
I almost cried
beautiful
Such an underrated film
I agree...
viendo la película en cuarentena encontré esta hermosa canción
My favorite since I was a little kid. Next to Jim Carey and Tom Hanks... Adam always has a song he covers or his own.. He's fucking GREAT!!!!
I real love this song
genius girl 💕
Does anyone know where I could find this on Spotify? I love love love this song.
This is something I'd like to see right before dying
God damn I love my daughter.. bawling like a baby over here
Does anyone know where to find the piano music for this? I'd like to play it with my daughter
Abct Family unfortunately I don’t but you shouldn’t definitely try to do that. That’s a great idea.
This tune is from a real song just can’t remember which one! I heard a similar song in “A complete Unknown” I think it was a woody gunthrie song

It's not an official song. It's made specifically for the film.
Anyone know if I can purchase this song somewhere?
