Hilarious, I almost forgot this song had that jazzy lil breakdown. I bet John felt kinda silly going into that cheesy solo he's played 10 billion times.
@@ewilso22 I mean when you get into an intersection like that, the song should resolve back to the melody. Otherwise they could keep going like that for hours lol.
he does the inversion trick too, since a diminished chord is built out of equal minor 3rds you can just go up a minor third infinite times and it'll still be that same chord just inverted (root, 1st, 2nd, 3nd... repeat)
Hes not playing the good stuff nowadays anymore because the main stream audience isnt really there for that kind of music. But he has really good stuff when hes jamming with jazz and student m
Thats how John stays humble, he hires people like that
@@zlarski used to be. far from it now. man is all about exploring music and putting on for the best musicians he knows and finds.
Crazy solo!! Phenomenal player
Criminally under-rated guitar player.
I laugh per when John started playing. I had no idea they were jamming on waiting on the world to change😂

@0:57 they tease it
@@ewilso22 according to himself it’s the song he is really tired of playing, but I guess he’ll do it as long as people love hearing it
Then idk why you're here!
These two guys...Hard turn from unique originality straight into pentatonic pop familiarity
pshh
pretty much hahaha. crazy how well sharkey blends with john
1:19 - "so far to go" - dilla
Good catch!

Thats another level
The picking style of Isaiah Sharky is similar to Benson, it gives a different sound and different strokes with unique note combinations..
Sharkey is true blue talent!
This was such a killer gig!
When you can make palladino shake his head in disbelief from what he just heard, you know you're one of a kind. What a talent
I was absolutely amazed by this solo and had try learn it😅
Holy moly this is insane
Sheeesh I love those chromatic diminished runs he throws in there
i once ate some bad sausages and got terrible chromatic diminished runs :(

1:09 can someone tell me how he does that
He’s is sweep picking. Not sure if your asking what the exact notes are or just in general what he did
Sweep picking and it sounded like a diminished chord
Hey man! I filmed the same solo at the same concert! You had better seats though...
whaaaat
eh la madonna
that switch up kind of ruin the vibe if were being honest
Should he have ended the song after the solo 😂
Your lack of capital letters, as well as your poor grammar and spelling kind of ruins any credibility your comment might have had. : )

Maybe it was just the lighting.
