The woman conquers an entire peninsula, had equal power to her consort WITHOUT owning that power to her consort, came to own an entire continent, her daughters and granddaugthers were queen in their own right and we are going to focus on the fact that she bathed twice in a place that is very cold in a time before hot water showers? Okay. I know bathing existed but aside from regular washing bathing in a tub in your manse was a luxury and that might be the reason that made the pious queen avoid it, but it didnt mean she never swam in a river or cleaned her body with a rag or something.

We thought it's an interesting fact. If you have watched the full video it doesn't only talk about bathing but the Amazing Life of Queen Isabelle. ☺️ But, Just Amazing is boring..So we added a pinch of fact to get attention.. It's normal for Royals to not take a bath during that age...🥰

@@luxuryfreakz True, but bathing is very different from washing or taking a shower. Back in the day sitting in a tub was only something that you did if you had the time or the luxury making it decadent, which is a reason why she would avoid it unless washing in rivers or hot springs. Castille is pretty cold too. I do like that this tidbit does draw some attention but there is historical context that a "Bath" to them is not the same as bathing for us. It seemed something more elaborate in the records, or something done in public greek/roman style bathhouses which Isabella would probably never approach as a pious woman. Great video, editing and thanks to spreading word of how much she still inluences this world. The fact that the name Elizabeth became popular at that time was due to her and she apparently was a lancaster.

Of all the old customs the lack of bathing is the most perplexing. Clean people feel better and are healthier plus they live longer.

What was controversial about Isabel la Catolica ? or Isabella of Castille

She decided to expel the Jews from Spain and was very big on the inquisition, and some woke simps want to blame her for colonialism when in fact she actually wanted to protect the indigenous people. She died way before colonialism became a thing.
