People dont realize how important this season is, if we dont win anything, Arteta really needs to go, 5 seasons, one fa-cup. No Majors, nah, what are the standards people???? Are we The Arsenal or what. Are we gonna let another decade go by without a major just because people like Arteta? And the players? Nah, I care about the club, the fans, and I want us to win whatever it takes

ISSUES WITH ARSENAL
1. Arteta and his stuborness to prove his signings and his favourites even if they are playing bad.
2. Arteta only playing 14-15 players even though we have 25 players squad, forget the youth players.
4. Every pass forward has to go through a middlemen, if we are at half line then it is Rice, if we are much ahead then Odegaard.
5. The defenders are having dorky moments.
6. Strikers are not clinical.
7. Arteta is overcoaching the attackers, one thing that is common with every player in the final third is that they don't take much risk, they rather play it safe.
8. Arteta doesn't punish players that are his favourites, Saka could have a stinker game and he will play 90 min but Maritinellii gets subbed even when he plays well.
9. Raya is yet to prove himself so is Kai.
10. Money wasted on Raya, Havertz, Lokonga, Tavares, Vieira, etc, we are not City we cannot afford to waste 100 million plus.
11. Arteta's man management is shit for the players that dont come into his 14-15 player group, he hardly plays them and then we have to sell them at a loss. ESR, Nelson & Nketiah will suffer same fate.
12. Arteta needs to pull his head out of his arse, he hasn't won anything to prove himself, he needs to act less arrogant and let the players play instinctively in the final third.
I missed number three, three is the position we will finish this season.
Your assessment of our situation was SPOT ON! 👍👍 Unfortunately though, I don't feel that Arteta is ready & willing to forgo his super inflated ego, and grant our players this freedom of expression....until it is too late, and we are out of every competition! For this reason I think we will only finish 5th at the end of this season...which is WHY ideally he NEEDS TO GO NOW rather than in the Summer, so that we have the best possible chance of both winning something & securing UCL football for next season! Xabi Alonso would be my 1st choice to replace him!! 👍👍
I though about this long and hard. I'll break down the reality for you. Arsenal need a new RW and ST. Gabriel Jesus is a LW by nature and him and Martinelli are the best rotation for that side. We need a RW to go against Saka and a tall,strong, fast striker for the top. Havertz is Odegaards rotation. If Odegaards not performing or unable to move through the lines, Havertz offers the same progression but is taller and stronger.
Rice is Xhakas rotation and always was. He offers the same dynamos as Xhaka but is younger. Our biggest flaw and, people just ignore this from every other season, we don't have Partey. When Partey got injured, even last season, our team just drops off. Partey is the best combination of attacking power and defensive stability. We need a Partey rotation and have for 4 years. It's not the system. We are playing the same football as we have for the past 2 seasons but look the same as we did without Partey as we always have.
ESR is just a hybrid of Odegaard and Havertz. He has the size of Odegaard and the technicals of Havertz. Nelson,Nketiah,Trossard,Jorginhio and Elneny all need to leave. Ramsdale is my keeper and I think Raya should be dropped and be the 2nd string keeper. Ramsdale offers far more as a personality on the field than raya does technically.
We need a proper 6 to rotate with Partey, someone who has the same technicals as him. I assume that's what Lokonga was for but Lokonga is looking more and more like an 8 and not a 6. We need a proper target man striker as football is evolving, returning to it's origins as having strong, powerful front men and we need a RW to rotate with Saka. For me, the defene is ok. We need someone like another Tomi for the 4 who is able to go from LB to RB and center when needed. 4 players. 2 windows. Get it done Arsenal.

@@sloht4061 - Firstly: I think that you made a very good point about Jesus being far more effective playing LW, and switching Martinelli centrally! This is essentially where he announced himself spectacularly on the Football Stage as a 17 year old, therefore if he is naturally best suited to play as a striker....he should play as a striker!
Of course, this sure does mean that we still need a tall; strong; mobile, and quick striker to lead our forward line as one of several forward combination options! Victor Boniface fits this profile to an absolute tee! 👍👍
I also agree that we need a quality RW as serious competition for Saka, but this needs to wait till the Summer, because a CF; CM, and versatile defender are all an absolute priority!!
On your second point about Havertz being a rotation for Odegaard....This would be true if both of them were being played as No: 10s.....however, both bafflingly have been deployed as No: 8s.....a role which has seriously stymied the effectiveness of Odegaard, and one which Havertz has looked completely out of his depth! What is clearly THE MISSING LINK which has FATALLY COMPROMISED our team is the absence of a player like Partey!
You are dead right in asserting that Rice was always meant to replace Xhaka, but what about a replacement for Partey- given his scarce availability??? 😙 The club screwed up royally by committing to spend £95M on Havertz & Raya when a new DM/CM was an absolute NO BRAINER!!! 😳😳😳 We could have brought in a quality DM/CM & AM for around £100M, and in so doing: enabled the team to continue with the same kind of progression >> momentum as last season, and hence be top of the league currently instead of struggling to even remain in the top 4!! 😙😙
I totally with you with regards Ramsdale too! Raya's stats may look better on paper, but he simply doesn't possess the natural character & leadership quality of Ramsdale: who our players love greatly >> are inspired to play better!!
Reiss Nelson; Nketiah; Elneny; Kiwior; Cedric, and Viera all have to go.....together with ESR also if he cannot get himself going in this second half of the season!!

The players have to stay humble too. They only had one good season and that was due to an unexpected poor form from all our key rivals.
I think one of the reasons for the big difference in gameplay between last season and this season is Xhaka. The entire left side (Martinelli & Zinny) has been so poor because of his absent. Havertz does not provide us the same service as Xhaka and I believe that’s the missing chain.
You know what’s so frustrating all we needed was a CDM, ST and Winger but Arteta has gone and wasted £100m on Havertz and Raya when that could have got your mid and winger SORTED. One thing that pisses me off about Arteta he will freeze a player and that’s the reason we sell for SO LOW. If you don’t want to use them loan them and keep their prices respectable to sell ffs

Some of us saw early on this season how much we were bad. We knew a loosing streak would happen. We got good players, but i blame Arteta and sketchy transfers for our bad form.

I think the problem still goes back to the owners. A lot of money has been spent these past few seasons, and I believe for these reasons;
1. Arsenal endorsements and TV money have grown
2. KSE are now 100% owners, which means they are investing solely in their own wealth,
3. The lockdown and new ticketing structure means people fighting fists over hand for tickets, more money 'at the gates'
4. Champions League money was the target.
Arteta, in my opinion, is just the 2016-2018 Wenger, which was the worst version of him. The owners needed to pedal out a new process, which was just the old process, but with a new face. He is young and would do the owners and board dirty work for them, because he knows that if he could pull off a miracle, a Barca or Madrid job is probably waiting for him. We kept Eddie because the club would never pay the going rate for a striker in this market. Buying Rice was like buying Özil, spend most of your money on a very good player, without addressing the other issue (you can't stutnt in a Mazzarati if you can't afford the fuel). It was just to keep certain fans distracted as PR could be spun around it. Well that PR that has been spun these past 4 years is about to be an empty spool. Unfortunately, we the fans will be the ones left frustrated (to say the least). This is why I have not been to the Emirates since 2018 and probably wouldn't go again, unless it's to take the little ones watch our women play, or radical changes happen.

- One thing I don’t get with Arteta is his subs! Sure 45 mins cos Kiwior struggled. But when searching for goals he leaves it too late or what has ESR done? One of the better Cameos albeit we lost but Eddie gets the nod and no minutes against Fulham. Far too reactive than proactive
- Martinelli is a XL Bully right now in England, a dog that has lost its bite due to a change of the rules he is now under
- We’ve been figured out, we have no Plan B or C, get a fullback because Asia Cup, RW & striker. Don’t think Toney will happen.

*My post game analysis*
1. Arsenal front 3 has not been clicking and so Arteta wanted to shuffle a bit and brings in Nketiah when Nketiah was more suited for a home game against West Ham (if he wanted to rest Jesus). Nketiah useless once again no surprise. When Jesus and Havertz play, they link up really well and create chances. But Arteta had other ideas despite Eddie and Havertz not having a clue in the world how to play together. Thanks Arteta for this 1st one for giving this average championship player a bumper contract.
2. Yes we lost to West Ham but it wasn't the end of the world. Why were the players not so interested? Did they get too much of a bollocking from Arteta or were they fatigued because only 2 days rest where was Fulham had 4! How unfair. Stupid fixtures! They did not press well how they did against Brighton and Liverpool. And u don't play with complacency against a Fulham side having their best players back and hungry for a win. They play little bit similar to Liverpool in terms of counter attacking. So our press had to be on point but it lacked so much either coz Jesus wasn't there one of the best pressing machine or team fatigued.
3. Arteta encouraged Ben White to go forward when Saka gets the ball. So when Saka got the ball, White sprinted forward leaving defence exposed. Saka got out muscled like so many did today, they score. In that build Rice was supposed to bust his guts out to to cover Whites postion or Salibas, he didn't do that against West Ham nor he did do that today for the 1st goal and we concede. Another point to note here is, last year 2nd half of the season, Arsenal conceded a lot of counter attacking goals because of losing the ball in the middle of the park and teams countering quick. We learned that really well and have been preserved in that area but Saka has others plans and gives it them there for 1st goal.
4. We don't play the ball over the top. Only Partey does that. So many times Saka makes that run and Rice plays it safe. I think he lacks confidence doing that not skill. *We miss Partey!* from the attacking side of a 6 not the defensive side.
5. Our build up is slow and predictable. Predictable meaning keep going right over load it. But teams have figured that out from last season so they triple quadruple up on that side. But we insist and insist.
6. Then the left side. Martinelli gets so much heat for not being productive. That is harsh. Only blame him mainly coz of his recent poor finishing but not taking his man on coz Saka hardly does that too! Saka has White overlapping sometimes but Martinelli has no LB to help him! Artetas system is becoming predictable and there is no variety! Why can't Odegard go there 15mins and tell Havertz to play right 8 role for a bit. Swap wingers etc..
7. Fans overreacting sooo much. No one is talking about us having 2 days rest and them having 4. It has had an impact on press, energy etc. But now fickle fans sayings Havertz flop Raya flop etc 🤦🏽♂️ I still trust in Arteta but he is too predictable and subs are predictable. By the time he changes the formation to back 3 and all attack, other team have camped all players back lol.
8. Gabriel was partially at blame for Liverpool goal, West Ham 1st goal and defo Fulham 2nd goal. What kind of sliced kick out was that! Hence he doesn't get praise as much as Saliba as he has these funny moment every game here and there.
9. We need a striker urgently or else forget PL or hope for FA CUP and maybe CL where teams play expansive which probably can suit us

Is that what creative player would do...pass sideways & run OFF the ball every time ??? & About his link up , is he that good in closed space, & about his heading and all....arsenal fans are reacting as if he's a didier Drogba in the air or a Ronaldo in air.... reality is he's average 50-50 in air too, often gets bullied by standard,aerially good defenders ....
You need to watch the games and look at stats too. His defensive stats way better than Xhakas surprisingly lol. Trust me Havertz has slowly learned the left 8 role well. Confidence is growing. He got no service against Fulham. Not his fault...

In Chelsea also guy would do the off the ball " defending " which people would find good in the starting phase...but if you really analyse it,guys just running alongside the attacker rather than forcing the guy or disrupting him or tackling him

I said in August Xhaka to Rice was a downgrade to your team....you lost your nasty streak, your best link player between defence and attack was Xhaka. System is everything.
