But Sir Brailsford has a history of smashing sir jims expectations. Look at team sky on the bikes, Jim set a target of a British winner of the tour de france, within 5 years. They built a whole team, recruiting the best of class, . And they won the second year.
Obviously theres a newly painted tunnel, a rejigged Stretford end, already improved Carrington, plans for game changing future improvements to training facilities in place. A new stadium too.
Inios tested the water in france, but they are clearly much more committed to this project.
So, i reckon there's gonna be a mass overhaul. But, with our stupidly inflated contracts, it is unrealistic and patience is therefore needed.
On the plus side, unless Man Utd end up fighting relegation, ETH will get a new deal next summer.

Such a difficult summer for the new owners. They probably have a similar list of players they'd like to sell but priority would go on the ones with the lowest contract term remaining I guess. Best to get rid of them, replace where possible this summer and sell the others in the next few windows. I like the way we have conducted our business so far and the creative payment terms we have put forward. This is a must going forward to avoid overspending.
Spot on! For years we've been overbuying and underselling. From business perspective, they might be doing some damage control after a decade of incompetent footballing management. Cutting losses for players might be an option if the right bid comes in, but with better footballing structure I can see they're trying to buy some time to possibly increase the value of some of those unwanted players.

Maguire, Sancho & McTominay are class players. If you were to buy similar players with equal qualities, you'd be overpaying in comparison to the players you already have. They'll all have their role to play next season
If we get Ugarte, De Ligt and Mazraoui in then with Yoro and Zirkzee fit and playing and Hojlund back, we've a very good starting 11 and a decent bit of squad depth. Definitely a top 4 capable squad. Although these fecking injuries need to feck the feck off!
I think Casemiro is the hardest to sell & the most important outgoing right now. If he leaves and Utd use that money to bring Ugarte on loan for 10-15m & get Amrabat for 10m, that'll be a W for me. Our midfield is gonna look so different. But if Casemiro stays, guarantee he's gonna start every game.

I think we need to let go of the idea that we are challenging for anything this season and focus on the long-term plan. INEOS cannot undo over a decade worth of rubbish management by the Glazers in just one season. We need to be patient and allow them time to rebuild our squad over the next 3-5 years. I completely support the philosophy of buying young, promising talent and allowing them time to develop. Everything they’ve done so far has looked positive and this is coming from someone who was completely anti-INEOS prior to the takeover bid. Let them cook 🧑🍳
😢will they also be patient with the coach or they're setting him up to fail by not getting the Player's for his style and forcing him to use the Player's that aren't good enough, will they also be patient when the results Starts coming??
@@Nappiboyisaac ETH has definitely been backed over the years (Casemiro, Antony etc) however, we need a better philosophy which I think INEOS have incorporated. Young, cheaper prospects that can be developed into champions. We can’t spend irresponsibly like we have done in the past because a) It didn’t produce results and b) FFP rules. A more cohesive transfer strategy is long overdue. I hope INEOS give ETH time because I think he is the right man for the job but if ETH can’t work under that philosophy then we should be looking for a coach that can IMO.

Fans support the club, we're not trained seals who applaud everything or who can't criticise. When the fans see a player not trying hard that's when it's fair to criticise. And if a player thinks he's too big to listen to the fans, he needs to go.
For this reason I think Antony needs to go. But I think the way we're trying to force Wan Bissaka and McTominay out of the club is quite bad really. To my knowledge they've both been loyal, whereas Sancho and Rashford, for example, have not been loyal to the club.

Honestly we need De Ligt in, Ugarte in, a full back in, we need Luke Shaw back fit, Martinez too and we can cope with the injury to Yoro. The fact our players are dropping like flies already is a massive concern. I swear if we start the season and Maguire, Lindelof, Casemiro etc are all starting... I give up! Fully expect Zirkzee to pick up an injury and Rashford to be starting up front.

-Swap Casemiro for Kante (if Kante agrees to lower wage + 1-2 year contract). Tired of stop gap FC, but I see this as our only get out of jail-card to get rid of Casemiro and his wage atm. Then replace Kante in the coming 12-24 months).
-Sell Eriksen and Hannibal
-Sell Mctominay (if a 30m bid comes in, then sign Rabiot on a free and give him Eriksens 150k wage, if Rabiot wants more than that - try n get Fofana/another cheap CM. If no 30m bid on Scott: keep him as a backup to Kobbie.
-Since the ideal CDM isn't on the market this summer I would sign Amrabat if we can get him cheap and loan Toby to one of the best championship team that dominates (that would be the best for his development, even tho It would be better for us in the short term to keep him here) Next summer, evaluate wether Toby is ready to start for United or not, if he isn't: sell Kanté and Amrabat, keep Toby as CDM backup and splash the cash on that ideal CDM.

-If Hojlund is out for 6 weeks, that means that he´ll only miss the first 3-4 games (the community shield game doesn't count as a competetive game). Splashing 40m on Toney because your striker is out for 4 games would be ridiculous imo. We already have 2 senior strikers in Zirkzee and Hojlund. Since we play with a solo striker in 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 we only need 2 strikers, this isn't 1999 when u played 4-4-2 and therefore needed 4 strikers in your squad.

13 players to sell, but swap Lindelof with Maguire as Lindelof is a far better defender and its highly likely both will leave for £0, if not sold this summer, Maguire might be worth a bit more based on height and being British, but if we have the right team above the manager then selling 13 should be easy, if your simply looking at getting them gone, we have some decent young players that can come in and do a far better job, at least they will desire to impress and improve.
Striker, Deep Midfielder, Center Back, and Mazraoui for LB, RB cover. I know he can play Defensive Midfielder, but he should be a Swiss Army Knife player for 3 positions. I'd keep the goal for him to be used as Left and Right Back, see about completing the Ugarte signing, De Ligt is coming I still believe, and the Striker is the only one I'm not sure of.

I completely agree with the four incomings. I think getting a LCB/LB on top of that would be a dream summer, but at this point isn’t realistic. In terms of Outgoings, I think that’s a realistic list. I personally would keep Sancho bc I think he’s value is just too low right now to sell.
Having a couple good cdms to push casemiro onto the bench would be nice.

We need players that can flex their positions. That's why Branthwaite is good and Mazraoui. So those two and ideally 2 CMs. Ugarte and Fofana, especially if could loan Ugarte. Think we'd be in pretty good shape if we got those. Can't fix everything in one window but wld like to sell McT and Lindelof. AWB is going and then wld love to get Casemiro's wages off our books. Shifting the deadwood is huge in terms of allowing us to properly refresh things and work from a point of strength next window. You can't negotiate with the wages our players are on in relation to their performances. INEOS have a lot of work to do to scrub the mistakes clean. Heading in the right direction though. The difference is HUGE.

If PSG are still trying to have our pants down for Ugarte then we should move for Zubimendi or Fofana. Both are defensively sound and can dictate play. Ugarte is a destroyer but he is not a dictator, we really need somone pulling the strings in midfield to give Kobbie more license to get forward because he’s a floating no.8 or no.10
The ideal situation is Ugarte on loan and Zubi/Fofana. Casemiro kept for experience, Collyer for cup games and Mainoo playing no.10(rotating with Bruno so we can reduce Brunos game time and get rid end of the season) or as an 8.

At the moment we need 11 fit players on the field. A good manager should be able to work around his squad weaknesses but Ten Hag is a one system manager which limits our possibilities.
Wages are a real problem with moving players on and they’ve always been but I’m especially feeling the pinch now. Even AWB’s deal with Westham seems to be dragging probably cause of wages, even though AWB is a consummate professional. It’s just all a bit of a ballache really.

I think it has to be defenders CB’s & Lb & RB positions need players above everything. Solid back 4 Casemiro can be successful again this season. Verane & Martinez cup final we looked a different team
realistically speaking we cannot make many more signings because we have to offer players. The obvious will be AWB Mazraoui/Dumfries. Then in the midfield there are not many options so I would like to keep McT and give casemiro,eriksen,hannibal,pellistri and bring Ugarte on Loan if we sell sancho/antony we could go for Neves. Then another cb de ligt being the obvious choice. So RB mazraoui /dumfries CB De Ligt CM Ugarte (cheap option) Neves the nice to have. But we have to prioritize sales at least 3 midfielders and 1 forward should leave.

Think that will be the squad for this season. Then next season all about trying again for branthwaite and getting that midfield properly sorted.
De ligt will hopefully be brought in and be able to cover for yoros injury and the same with mazraoui in regards to malacia being MIA until whenever. Zirkzees gonna have to be starting right out the gate and occasionally Marcus can slip into the striker position until hojlund is back which is looking like he’s only gonna miss first 4-5 games 🤞🏻

Everyday I will reiterate the importance of not ending every season with a poor goal difference. If we can improve that, it'll make most of our team look better. So..I will not stop until we get Ivan Toney. He will be the best thing that's happened to United since Cantona 🤞🏼

I think a lot needs to be said about the expectation for next season. We are signing players for the future, and we are also spending squad spaces to embed the youth. I am personally ok if we don't fill in all the holes in out squad this season and aim to use the youth instead. Collyer, Amass and Ogunneye all looked really good in preseason, and I'd say they are ready for some minutes, definitely in the cups at least. We are damn close to have a full lineup of under 30s, with only three over 26 (Onana, Shaw and Bruno).
Let's give our squad time to play together without stressing so much about the results. Our curent squad, even with average performance, should get 5th or 6th. A couple more signings can push it to 4th. With good form we can be 3rd. Doesn't matter what we do this summer we won't push for title, so we should only get the right kind of signings for the right price, however few they are.
Hancko is a no, 35m and 27 next month. Toney is more than no, even though I like him. Ideally it's MDL, Mazraoui and Ugarte on loan, but if all we have in the next month is one of MDL and Ugarte, for the right price, I am still happy.
I’d sign De Ligt & Mazaroui. I think the deal is not that far apart in terms of valuation so hope we can meet in the middle somehow. And I’d sign a defensive minded midfielder. At the start of the window I would have said Neves or Zubamendi. Looks like Liverpool are going in for Zubamendi and PSG have signed Neves. The next best option would be Ugarte or Hjulmand for me. In my opinion, since we want to play with young talents, promote the ones of the club which are promising. let them fill the gaps and get some experience if we need them. get through this year, or half the year till winter window atleast. and next year we will see.

Depends on what you think we need. We need a squad capable of playing top 4 football... we are nowhere near challenging for the league right now, we are a top 4 team. INEOS and ETh agrees... so in that case, a new DM and CB is enough to get through this year and keep heads above water.

The problem is because we have some many players on highly inflated contracts, it's going to be difficult to move them on. If money was no option we could buy out their contracts and they would be off our wage bill. But that said, it's a must that we get Ugarte on loan, sell AWB to the Hammers, bring in Mazraoui, get the De Ligt deal over the line and buy a under the radar defender to be a bench warmer.The rest will have to wait till Jan.
We need to rush de Ligt or a plan B. I am surprised how no one is pushing for Mats Weiffer. He will be expensive but is a top modern CDM.
Mats Wieffer is a Brighton player. They bought him in this summer. I'm pretty sure they need some cash to be able to buy De Ligt now. So we have to wait for McTominay and Lindelof leaving at least. I'd love Zubimendi,he is capable of playing under pressure,can carry the ball out of defence,has good anticipation. Yes,Ugarte is more aggresive and stronger physically but yeah, one of them would be decent to pair with Mainoo. Last season we suffered big time when injuries hit and I'm finding it difficult to believe we are going to sign many players this summer.

I've been saying this for sometime now, our biggest problem is in midfield yet we only have one midfield target and he's not really even a cdm, we are looking at another flop season
So many cheap mids you could get too, joey veerman has been class for so long now yet we don't even look his way, mats wieffer is a cdm that would fit perfectly but we don't even try to go after him, no we want ugarte who didn't even have a good season at psg.

🤔..Why not try and experiment with a few ideas ? Bet Pep would've 🤷🏽♂️ Lisandro Martinez ticks all the boxes for being a 100 million defensive midfielder. He's great on the ball, press resistant , elite passing range & aggressively imposing defender. And now all the question marks about height @ the back gone.
Ugarte is a good addition but his deficiencies in progressive passing that are currently causing PSG to be very keen in offloading him. Could be amplified @ United, why? Because United ranked 13th in the premier league for big chances created last season while having the number one big chance creator in the league last season, Bruno. Meaning as far as chance creation Bruno isn't getting alot of assistance from the rest of the team.
Could be a solution to a lot of problems.

not sure why yall are calling for sancho's sale. The two adults made up and resolved their issues, he's starting pre-season games. At his very best he's arguably the best player on the team, he has plenty of experience at this point, he looks rejuvenated and has something to prove now. He offers far more than the likes of garnacho, dialo who are great players but still have a lot of maturing to do. Not to mention that he can play the RW better than rashford and garnacho can and no one else can play it other than amad.
Maguire, Lindelof, and McTominay to start most of our games until players come back from injury. Groundhog Day.

Lindelof should have gone before the pre season started. Sweden didn't go to Germany. He had 2 months to find a new club.
If we sell Scott and Erickson we'll need to bring in at least two additional central midfielders or we'll end up with another season with a midfield blackhole which opponents will be going through to increase their shot counts😂

This transfer window so far has been absolutely awful. One player in for Varane and one player in for Martial and we sold no one from last season’s squad. No improvement at all!
We can't go in to the season with only Martinez as our only fit mobile defender, moreover we can't go into this season with our only current DM/CM options.
What Man United actually need to do is bring an exorcist and help the club get rid of all the player injury related curse.
