I visited in May this year from the UK. I can't comment on some of the points, but as a place it is beautiful, peaceful and a glorious beach. i would love to visit again....
Naples is just for having a safe and nice place to reside. Miami, Key West and the Bahamas are the fun places to visit but always come back to Naples after. And yes in the Summer stay away- hot and humid- rains every day.If you fallow this routine you will love Naples for life. God Bless the great folks in SW Florida!!! I love you all 🏖️☀️💓😎💞🏝️
I've been to Naples many times, over the past 20 years of my life, and neither the weather nor the insects bothered me. If I do end up moving to FL, Naples is certainly near the top of my list. 😎✌
I almost completely disagree. I just came back to California from house hunting in Naples and it was beautiful. No, bugs, mosquitoes, or roaches. There are restaurants open later than 9pm and the weather was gorgeous, we even caught a day of rain. Everything is not expensive and gas was $3.21 a gallon compared to $4.79 in California. I can’t wait to move there.

We just bought a condo on the beach in Park Shore. We chose Naples after visiting a lot of cities on the East and West coast of the state. You sound very unhappy.
This is a well-done and very informative video that should have more views. I've been visiting my family down in Naples for 13 years. The weather is unbearable in the summer. The city is quite boring unless you're with people who want to do things. And Laurie is right about everything closing down at night. On the flip side, Naples is very safe, very clean, very beautiful, the people are nice (not sure about snowbirds), and there's lots of great food and outdoor options.
Well said. I love it here, but I am an early riser, so no night life is fine with me, but I think some people are disappointed when they find out about certain aspects of living here.
LOL . She’s incorrect on so many issues . The only way to go in Naples is gated . While the fees are high , it includes water, pest control , beautiful golf greens, hurricane coverage if condo or townhouse. I've considered relocating to FL many times. We have always considered Sanibel our second home, but those home prices and insurance numbers are almost impossible. We have 8 years to go until retirement and have kicked around moving, but I don't think even a skilled job could support those home costs. Sad times...
