The Satisfying Downfall of Patrick Beverley

- Опубликовано: 9 сен 2024
- Patrick Beverley recently announced he will continue his basketball career overseas, likely concluding his NBA career. A career that began with him being one of the more valuable role players in the NBA and concluded with him a a journeyman bouncing from one team to another with controversies following him wherever he went. His image an irritant but a strangely endearing one was slowly widdled away, and we are left with a downfall that we all got a kick out of...

His broken clock celebration was golden though
Fr doh can’t even lie
lol it’s his best highlight 💀
I burst out laughing lmfaoo
Honestly it’s so cold and good I forgot it was Pat Bev
Guess HE was the broken clock that was right twice a day all along
"You hate playing against him but love him when he's on your team" - Until he played for every team.
Facts
still love him for what he did for Minny but lol what a crashout
@@brodown64 was gonna say the same thing. He was huge in Minny. He really brought the dog out of Ant and others and had them believe they could be something other then an outlier.
Personally, id love to have him around MN again. Even as a Ronny Turiaf kinda player or Udonis Haslem role.
Some players have played for only one team in a North-American professional sports league, with winger Brock Boeser (Canucks), centre-winger Dillon Dube (Flames), goalie Stu Skinner (Oilers), winger Nik Ehlers (Winnipeg Jets), defenceman Morgan Rielly (Leafs), d-man Jake Sanderson (Sens) and d-man Kaiden Guhle (Habs) have all ever only played for one NHL team each. Retired ex-winger Bob Gainey only ever played for the Habs among NHL teams although retired ex-centre Doug Gilmour played for 7 NHL teams, and both following their careers, were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
So what if Pat Beverley has played for 7 NBA teams? Doug Gilmour after all had played for the same number of NHL teams throughout his playing career. Gilmour's NHL career started with the 1983-84 season and ended with the 2002-03 one while Pat Bev, after only ever having played for two NBA teams throughout his first nine seasons, played for the remaining 5 during just the last 3 and evidenced by his signing overseas is unlikely to get to play for another NBA team. Playing outside the NBA being really the only way for a career NBAer with no desire to retire to get to keep on playing typically means something's up with that player that has made few teams from that league want to sign him to a contract, and on that aspect I see Pat Bev fitting the bill.
"The next 5 years are mine" is gonna be one of those all time quotes
Up there with Jordan "My Legacy is Secure" Poole.
Summer of George vibes
I think the funniest thing I've ever heard Patick Beverly do was when Paul George got traded to the Clippers while Patrick Beverly was at a restaurant. Patrick Beverly allegedly jumped on the table with excitement and yelled, "I just won the fucking championship!"
"DON'T TALK TO US" I'll never forget that goofy shh 😂
man yall dudes would have did the same thing if yall just got pg & kawhi coming off their best seasons 😂. stop hating bc social media made it popular to hate on him

Bev assaulted Pacer fans after being eliminated in the Playoffs. It was despicable and is one of the main reasons he’s playing international now. Good riddance.
I’m not the one who likes to pray in downfalls, find it completely disrespectful. But this guy is just dick, that girl did nothing. And just threw a ball at her, happy he’s gone
It was a series of incidents that had made Pat Bev pretty much unwelcome on NBA teams and why likely he'd ended up playing for so many of them.
Pat Bev was Dillon Brooks before Dillon Brooks
Dillon Brooks never assaulted fans after getting eliminated in the Playoffs. Bev is scum and good riddance.
Dillion Brooks definitely shoots too high... but at least he's a 14 PPG career player with good defense. Pat Bev shoots too high and can barely back up any of it.
Brooks is more like a Great Value Draymond. 😂
@@HomellAlcautorDillon is more likeable than The Donkey mainly cause he plays for my favorite team 😁
Brooks Is alright. He said some foolish stuff at his last team but he’s a good contributor for the Rockets.
He thought he was Jrue Holiday but wasn't even Marcus Smart.
He PATRICK BEVERLEY

Don’t dish it if you can’t take it lol. What an asshole
Can yall do a retrospective of the 2012-2013 Knicks….the only Knicks team under Carmelo to win a playoff series.
Still a ass team tho
Every single Carmelo Knicks squad were dogshit
He should do the 1999-00 blazers
No we’re not doing this, Melo had plenty of talent on those teams… DPoY Tyson Chandler, Amare, Iman Shumpert, JR Smith, Landry Fields, Jeremy Lin, Metta WP, Jason Kidd, and God himself, Steve Novak
@nikobellic2515 Yeah only 1 season where the Knicks were actually good, all the other years, hell no they were trash
After winning that chip with the T-Wolves, it's been all downhill ever since...
Something ya’ll forgot to mention about the ball incident with the pacers fan was there was a little girl right there who nearly got drilled with the ball
A woman DID get drilled by the ball. Twice in fact. Bev is a POS and it’s good riddance he’s gone.
The next five years were his last five years in the NBA that's crazy
It happens, when you are 36.
His next 4 years thats “his” will be in Israel lmfao.
God's Land.
I’m so disappointed you didn’t mention the Nick Wright rant. For someone that has been so frustrating to watch and listen to, his rant on Patrick Beverly was incredible and so cathartic.
I don’t think anyone watches Nick Wright, so that’s probably why 😅
He falls into that very specific category of player where people say things like “Hate him when he’s not on your team” or “He provides that energy/spark the team needs.” Then he proceeds to get traded immediately afterward. You’d think he was like Draymond the way people/the media talk about him. However, as someone who loves sports media more so than the sport itself, he’s provided tons of hilarious content from something he said or did.
As a bucks fan I can say I thought Pat Bev was going to be way more valuable for us than he ended up being at the trade deadline our defense was awful shocker it was all season and I'm like okay he's washed but you know he can still contribute to defense you can still get under people's skin Glad to have him on the team it turns out the only people his skin got under was Milwaukee bucks fans
We praying on downfalls now?😎
Yes. He deserved it, after how he acted in the final days of last season,
social media nba fans cant handle players with a big mouth , also he never was a dirty player as the Russ incident was unlucky

Shouldn't throw that basketball
no grown man will ever say a downfall of any person is satisfying
Honestly, I forgot about Patrick Beverly since he shoved Chris Paul and said, "He damaged my career."
He will not be missed.
I actually quite liked Pat Bev for what he'd bring to a team, definitely annoying, but never seemed to be as dirty as Draymond, CP3. that last game was such a bad look though and to choose to sign with Israel of all places NOW during a genocide? while apparently having offers from NBA teams especially? pretty unforgivably awful
What genocide ? no genocide, this is called a war, all statistics show this ain't no genocide but you can echo your own lies a thousand times
and Israel has some pretty decent basketball game, although more focused with teams like Macabi Tel aviv which do participate and are a top team in the euro leauge, but people like you who don't know anything and only judge would not know that
9:08 i hated rooting for patbev. But i respected him for this. Ayton was trying to act all tough like he had just blocked Reaves even though he didn’t. Then he wouldn’t let Reaves get up. So I loved what Pat did here
the guy was an undersized point guard who couldn't really shoot or pass too well, and still carved out a NBA career making millions of dollars playing basketball. Hate him all you want but Pat Bev has my respect.
The date and time for the WWII celebration made me giggle a little bit.
NBA needs villains like Pat Bev imo, makes the league more interesting
Pat thinks he is jru holiday
As a Lakers fan I hated Pat Bev before his time with us and dreaded the day he signed. But he gave us so many classic moments in a Laker jersey, I will lot forget the putbank dunk he had in the Celtics game 😭
Ayton was indeed standing over Austin. So that tackle was ok in my book.
If they make a "satisfying downfall of synthetic sports" video, later in life, you better not flag that channel!
i like how you guys always have the date of whatever video you have playing in the top right, very nice details
Rip bozo
That like and subscribe part was mixed LOW! Almost as low as Pat Bev's stock as of late B)
As a Laker fan, nah the Ayton thing was totally warranted. Pat Bev played like absolute ass for us most of the time, but checking Ayton for just standing over AR like that was totally needed.
Edit: looking back at that clip, he damn near like walks into Reaves on the ground. That’s a good teammate right there, I became a fan. Of course it went away when he started talking shit to the team after he left.
Not only is Pat Bev a bad and annoying player, hes also a crappy human being
I know his son irl, and Hes very similar to his dad. Im pretty sure his dad doesnt care about him. He lives hundreds of miles apart, and anytime I ask him about his dad, he always seems like he doesn’t want to talk about it
Dudes a deadbeat
You know his son irl? Just want know if it's real or something
Dang that title is crazy 😂😂 I’m here for the hate tho lol

did bro dirty in the thumbnail, i love it lmao
His quote in 2019 has came back to bite him. He told Steph the next five years were his and 5 years later Steph has a chip and a gold medal and Pat bev is out of the league
His 4 game suspension was a complete joke. Dude shoulda gotten 40+. He intentionally assaulted fans.... TWICE!
He’s a success story. He worked his way up to the NBA and earned his 96 million dollar career. He’s him
tyrese haliburton ended this bozos career, as a pacers fan this is therapeutic
Would hardly call it a downfall lmao, bro played overseas before the NBA, built a respectable NBA career, and is continuing to play the game he loves overseas for a good amount of money.
This guy has mental issues which is what drove his play style tbh. Good riddens tho his behavior was deplorable at the end of his career even leading up to the incident his actions were questionable. He doesen't deserve to be on an NBA roster gettin that NBA money it would turn a lot of people off if he was still getting a salary.
He's always been a clown reminiscent of a bygone era of trash talkers and pests (the 90s).
When he injured Russ I was done
that's not a steal that's a tackle
“Satisfying downfall” is crazy bro
Pat bev has his flaws for sure but as a bucks fan, I was disappointed we lost him. Idk who’s guarding the best guard on the other team, obviously not dame

Yeah, I bet you Bucks fans miss having Bev assault Pacer fans after playoff losses.
I just know this one gonna be good
I wish the beef with Book would've been mentioned, Book absolutely humiliated him and taunted him and never gave him any attention ever again.
Even though he’s out of the NBA, we might see him back in the media because he is going to love to give shock takes that fits into the sports media landscape today, whether he believes his takes or not. I’m going to hate every second of it.
4:30 there’s a story that pat bev heard the trade news at a dinner somewhere, and apparently he jumped on the table and screamed he won w chip
People only like him if he plays for your team lol I hated the guy til he joined the Lakers for half a season, he sucked but he was pretty funny at least
LeBron and Russ: having to eject fans for racism against them
Pat Bev: they said Cancun on three
I feel the same about Draymond.. I want him kicked out
Recently I've been reading posts on Facebook about 2009 NBA Draft Redraft and my goodness they put Pat Bev ahead of guys like Danny Green, Patty Mills, Taj Gibson and Ricky Rubio. I get Rubio didn't turn out to be a generational talent but his career and value is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better than Pat Bev
Clickbait title worked but why is his "downfall" satisfying? He grinded his way to the league. Won a few accolades. Made the playoffs several times. Teammates vouch for him on and off the court. Played at the highest level of basketball possible for 14 years and made over 82 million dollars in the process. Most players would be lucky to have his career.
bc he’s an asshole
Pat is that you ?
And he's a good father if we talking off court

Pat Bev isn’t even worth 14 minutes of my time. Might have to skip this vid lol
This dude is still playing pro ball for a living. I wouldn't call that a down fall. This guy is an over achiever thats getting the most out of his life. Downfall? I dont like the sound of it. Comes off like ya'll drinking too much haterade.
"he ain't dead, homeless, or deathly sick that doesn't mean it's a downfall"
Biggest CP3 hater.....have fun licking those chips while CP3 has a bigger contract in the NBA than he does in the euro league
Still did better than embiid just saying at least went to the conference finals
Pat Bev getting dreads once his hairline started to go is also on "timing" ass timing.
As a bucks fan I hated Pat bev, but I didn’t mind him when he got here. That push on Paul was so wrong and a terrible move.
As a Wolves fan… I f**king miss Pat Bev!!!
I will always remember him grabbing the camera to show the ref an obvious missed call 😂
Ngl I enjoyed his time in Philly. He fit his role as a gritty vet backup PG and Nick Nurse seemed to have his worst tendencies under lock.
I just realized their intro music is from Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer theme.
I agree with all your other points, but him going for the steal when Russel was bout to call time wasn't remotely reckless! What are you talking about?! Good defenders used to do this sort of shit every once in a while, and seeing as how he almost got the steal it was a good risk to take there. He didn't dive for a knee, he went for the steal and Russel's leg was in the wrong place at the wrong time. crafty defensive guards used to try tricks like this alot back in the 90's and 2000's and to make it out like he either tried injuring Russ on purpose or at least didn't care that he might is ridiculous. I get that if your a Thunder fan, how that would piss the shit outa you, but that was just some bad luck - that's it.
"Gaza on three"
The words PUNK and LOSER come to mind. There is always someone who fills this bad guy role in the NBA. Laimbeer, Draymond, Brooks. It's always a guy who can't compete and has to cheat.
Remember when the wolves beat the clippers in the play-in? Fool was celebrating like it was the championship
The next 5yrs are mine...fast forward 5yrs & he's playing overseas. Smh
Still has more conference final appearances than Embiid 💀
I don't hate Pat Bev. I like these dirty hustle players in the NBA there were tons of them in the 2000s but they are going extinct now. Kind of a guy you like if he is on your team but hate and despise when he is not.
I'm amazed that Pat Bev lasted 10 years in the league to be honest!
Tbh people just hate pat bev because he’s not afraid to shit talk your favorite player, especially the superstars in the league. He wears his heart on his sleeve. However he has done and said a lot of corny stuff so it is what it is i guess.
He deserves it. He's delusional he thinks he's a superstar carrying his teams.
*we need him in Brooklyn* 🙌
Going to play in a country actively committing genocide is just beyond the pale
Palestinians (Hamas Soldiers) stormed into Israel last October, destroyed buildings, killed children, and kidnapped women to rape them before killing them. Israel got mad and is still bombing them today until Hamas steps down from power. Israel is not committing “genocide”.
4:09 I remember that game vividly. It was comedic tbh

Bro he was a great defensive player
Sometimes I feel like the only Patrick Beverley fan in the world 😂
I’d disagree with the Ayton situation, Big fella was standing over AR taunting for no reason. Bev earned a lot of respect points with laker fans that day
As much as he talks trash I actually really like him due to how passionate he is.
He’s 20% basketball player 80% WWE! somebody has to be the bad guy! shout out to Scarface! Capricorn to Bronx fax
I remember when they signed him to the Lakers during the Westbrook era after years of trash-talkin us
I'm waiting for dremond greene next
Everyone hating the title, I love it
It’s not a downfall he had a great career fought hard to get to the league and squeezed everything out the lemon he possibly could thru hard work
I'm Kevin Durant. You know who I am
Never liked him. Knew something like this was going to happen. Can’t control himself or his emotions.
What downfall bro? He's literally a second round pick. He's had a good career and it's time to earn somewhere if he's not being signed in the NBA. This is too petty 😂
When you make everyone your enemy then its hard to find a team
How was it satisfying? Pat bev is hilarious 😭
