    90 degrees and wearing a vest. Style requires sacrifice. I like it.

    I LOVE my 2016 Q50 Red Sport, RWD, Obsidian Black over Stone, and I have owned Germans and Jags, it's a great looking car. I did add the Motorsport exhaust (w/muffler), too quiet stock, lots of folks(and dealers) are adding the exhaust. The 2018 changes are nice but not major, when they do a complete re-style 2019/20 that will be my next car, and maybe a "Black Sport" is coming? This is my third Infiniti in six years, they have stolen me from the Germans........nice review guys !~!~!

      rmyAddison the black sport is coming! I talked to an executive at Infiniti 2 days ago and I asked about the black sport also. He said basically take the red sport and add a hybrid to it. Thats gonna be you black sport that pumps out 500hp and 450 torque!!! It will fly but I'm waiting for that redesign like you mentioned above for the q50 red sport.

    • @degoek

      rmyAddison are all the redsports only in rwd?

    • @BigHeadClan

      +Travis Holland - That executive has a poor understanding of how the KERS system works then, I'm glad to hear they are bringing the car to market but there is a lot of things that need to be fixed from a performance stand point with the Q50.
      Lack of an true LSD in the RWD models, about 150-200lbs overweight compared to the competition and it still uses an outdated transmission that kind of falls flat for any sort of aggressive driving.

    • @BigHeadClan
      @BigHeadClan 7 лет назад

      No they come in both AWD or RWD, unless you live in Canada then they are AWD by default.

      Does not make much sense. Even the current 400 hp are too much for the chassis.

    This is a car for all dudes whether in their 20s and have rich parents or in their 40s and 50s or even 60s : ) I think women would love the feel of the engine throttle at higher rpm's.

    Hello guys I loved this review. Here in the UK the motoring press has been unkind to this Q50 and Infiniti in general, with its harsh reviews.
    But I loved your down to earth and honest verdict. And yes it's definitely the best looking car in its segment. It's out of this world stunning!
    Thank you guys!

    This is a nice car. I wish that I had enough money to get an Infiniti Q50 instead of an Acura TLX in 2015.

    I like the updates and all but with how minor the changes are I'll be keeping my 2016 RS 400 till the next gen more than likely. I also like the 2016 sport bumper more for some reason it feels more aggressive. Nice review!

    My wife loves her fully loaded Q50S 400 hp; I bought it for her last year for her birthday. I get to drive it once in a while LOL. It's okay, my daily driver is a fully loaded QX80. We will never buy another German car again due to bad experiences with reliability which causes inconvenient trips to the dealerships.

    I caught myself paying more attention to these hosts than other yonger folks that review cars. For example, the grey hair and the beard trick me into thinking that he knows what he is talking about.

    Really liked how you acknowledged INFINITI as the pioneers of those technologies and ripped off by the Germans.
    Don't know the gentleman's name... but it seemed like he had a hard time admitting that the Q50RS is at THE top of the segment. He stuttered a bit, lol.

    I have been driving a 13' Audi S4 until someone did a "hit and run" on it and it got totaled on Saturday. So I need to purchase a new car. Based upon your experience, Would you get a 18' Audi S4, this Infiniti Q50 or the Genesis Q80 Sport?

    • @CarCoachReports
      @CarCoachReports  6 лет назад

      That's a tough one. I like all three. The Genesis G80 Sport gives you the most for your money.

      @relld05 7 лет назад +1

      Actually, the Q60 is the coupe, the Q70 is the bigger one.... not sure why Infiniti went with that naming convention, it's so confusing.

    • @CarCoachReports
      @CarCoachReports  7 лет назад +2

      When they hired the Audi President, he changed the nomenclature

    • @relld05
      @relld05 7 лет назад +2

      Lauren Fix oooh, interesting! It is similar to Audi's more that you mention it. Still miss the old convention though, liked that the names seemed to give insight to the car itself then... (ie: "G37" = 3.7 liter).

    I had the 2016 q50 premium 3.0t. liked it but it's not all that quality. I had 4 maxima and I had the q50 for just 4 months till I have it to my nephew and got a 2017 maxima SR midnight edition. much happier. but the q50s is clean

  • @OakHillSoulman
    @OakHillSoulman 7 лет назад +2

    I've had several Infinitis and think overall they're really good cars. I think there are a number of reasons the Q50 hasn't really caught on. One is value. A pretty loaded '17 3.0S AWD would run between 52-55K. That's 330i, A4, Giulia and C Class range for a comparably equipped model. It's also 8-10K more than a fully loaded TLX. Plus, it gets worse fuel economy than all of them. Also I think for 50-plus thousand dollars a lot of people want that brand cachet which Infiniti does not have. I think to better compete they need to drop the V6 (although I love them) and go with powerful turbo 4s a la Alfa Romeo which would be lighter and get better mileage.

      It doesn't have an identity to me. It's okay in each category but it doesn't stand out in any. It handles okay, great engine, okay interior, but nothing noteworthy. The G37 had better handling, plus it lacks a mechanical LSD.

    • @Phoenix21324
      @Phoenix21324 7 лет назад

      While I agree mostly, the 52-55k you're speaking of is for a Red Sport 400 model of the Q50 which competes with a 340i, S4, and C43(based on performance) which all cost more with less incentives from the dealer. When i was looking to trade in my 2009 328i I test drove all those mentioned above and Infiniti gave the most wiggle room in price, while the others didn't want to budge too much. The insurance also was cheaper than the S4 and AMG (still high because i'm only 20) but that was a big thing too. Gas milages is terrible though fully agree there

    • @ThousanWhite
      @ThousanWhite 7 лет назад +2

      Umm, I don't think those other cars, like an A4 or 330i is as powerful as an equally equipped Q50, especially if it's the 400hp version. Option for option, the price might be close, but you'll get better performance out of the Q50. Otherwise, if you go for the 300hp model, the Q50 should be the cheaper option.
