Sometimes when people reject an answer its because it does not satisfy the question or its not helpful/ constructive in any way. Its not just because they dont want an answer to their questions. People who are genuinely trying to reconstruct their faith are often dismissed by that kind of response which then makes it that much easier to walk away.

I gotta question: How does one construct, deconstruct and or reconstruct if you have God’s Holy Spirit leading you through the Scriptures?
