For me, that 4:09 shot when Steve is running and just blindly fired a shot at the guy running after him is just the most badass gun shot ive seen in a long time.
If you look closely, that is actually a copy of Antiope's no scope bow shot at a guy running at her from the left at 3:29.
It's like a cinematic call and response. I can't say that this is Steve copying Antiope's blind bow shot, because obviously that takes skill from both of them and it's not even a tactical move one can simply copy. But later on in the movie, Steve does copy the "Shield!" move that Antiope makes here. And I think the blind bow/rifle shots by both of them nicely sets up this mirroring of tactics later in the movie.
I'm of course not the one who noticed all this. I just remember some other video creator pointing out these things that good filmmakers do to keep things interesting!

Still don't know why the Amazons would give up the high ground. They had a huge tactical advantage by staying up on those sheer cliffs. The Germans didn't have equipment for scaling the cliff, no artillery and only small arms. The Amazons could've just stayed up there and picked off the Germans one by one. They could've shot their arrows with a parabolic trajectory and not have to worry about return fire. If the Germans decide to hole up right at the base of the cliff, the Amazons can just drop a big rock on them. Either way it would've been a complete slaughter.

I know the three factions Atlanteans, Amazonians and Human used to be quite equal in power in the past but right now it seems the Amazonians would not even last a few minutes outside Themyscira with these archaic weapons and tactics.
I think atlanteans are the most powerful among the three, because our weapons don't do nothing to them and because they have the power to control any kind of water and they are stronger in it too

People never give Wonder Woman enough credit she grew up in an island that despised mankind yet she never fell to those beliefs she was always optimistic, kind and welcoming to men unlike her sisters while obtaining the good qualities of an Amazon with the fighting spirit, bravery and skills
This action scene is amazing to watch over and over again. I love this movie.

Antiope’s stunts were amazing….I wonder why they killed her off though…I mean Diana looks up to her and she taught her so much and she can also do some kick ass stunts too

In the Wonder Woman's movie, when steve meets diana when she saves him, and he wake up, he said "wow" but not "an angel", the "wow" its was hilarious and real reaction but i wish they had added "an angel" after this, little things like this could make the movie so good, like in the comics and cartoons.

Bro horses run ~35mph. The Germans would've only got one or two shots off anyways being as they had bolt action rifles lol they really needed beyonets. Cav in beginning of WW1 was still used.
@@YungFrenchToasty What they really should have done is find cover right away. Either from the few rocks on the beach or behind their boats. The opponent has long rage capabilities, so they should know better than to stand around in the open. And like you said, cavalry was being phased out but still used to some extent by the French and British in WWI, which means the Germans would have been trained to react accordingly to a cavalry charge.

So the Amazons, apart from Diana, can't deflect bullets with their bracelets? Even the Amazons in the tv show all had varying levels of skill with that.
It's their first time to encounter enemies with guns so it's pretty understandable why they can't deflect bullets in this movie give them a couple of centuries to learn it
I think they're capable of deflecting arrows. Diana is a demigod unlike the other Amazonians and has superior speed and reaction time on par with Superman. The average amazonian is just blessed by the female Olympians + Hermes, I always thought the the average one was like 2 Captain Americas
@@karinafromchromatica1711 Yeah...this was their first experience with guns and bullet projectiles so now that they know, they'd likely be able to take defensive measures. Frankly, I'd like to see the Amazon warriors off Island show their stuff!
@@spencerleelambert Diana is not a demi God, her whole thing is that she can deflect bullets with her bracelets because she was given certain powers of the Greek gods, that is her origin throughout the vast majority of her history. She is also not even close to the speed of Superman based on actual showings.
@@Dante-vf4sd every amazonian has those powers. "Amazonian physiology" consists of the blessings from the female gods. Diana is Zeus' daughter. In current canon she is literally a product of sex between Hypolytta and Zeus and the clay story is made up to protect them from Hera.
None of the actors playing the German soldiers are using their rifle slings correctly.

In every single movie that features The Amazons they get attacked
So badass hot Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and, the other Amazons, her family are fighting. Though it was tragic for those of them that were killed, which who I feel sorry for.
The amazons were fucking useless. A couple of half trained conscripts killed a bunch of supposed elite warriors who were fighting on their own ground with hundreds of years to prepare defences.
After this battle: an entire beach just completely covered in dead bodies...

People keep mentioning how disappointed they are with the Amazonians perceived strength and ill-advised battle tactics.
This is a superhero movie.
The most advanced war strategy they have surround and conquer/all at once.
No matter how powerful or well trained either side is, most battles will just turn into a melee because full-out slaughter of one faction is less cinematic.

I believe if they had equipped their bayonets and held their position it more than likely would have worked. The British did that at Waterloo and they ripped Napoleon's cavalry to shreds. They made giant squares with the outer "wall" of soldiers taking a knee and holding their muskets up like spears whilst the second group of soldiers standing up fired on the French cavalry.
The german soldiers are not very bright, but I suppose in WW1 they weren't trained to fight cavalry charges, it was mainly trench warfare, and if they were in an open field they usually charge the opposing trench rather than stand in the open?
@@bluenicholasbf2142 no. Trench warfare was an unexpected side effect of the weapons they used. They didnt train (initially) for trench warfare. The european armies of 1914 were essentially prussian 1880s style armies...Except the British that had just come out of the Boer war experience.
