Dude, what kinda question is that, its industry standard for sculpting, its an amazing software. You cant do the same things in Blender yet.@@bbrother92
Man, I cant wait for Nomad on desktop. I know it has nowhere near amount of tools that ZBrush has, but is somehow so cool and easy to use :) I hope it will be available fairly soon, beta/demo is amazing.
I've been doing most of my projects in Blender as of late. Honestly, it's still no where near the performance or feature set level of Zbrush, but they've made a lot of improvements to make sculpting more fluid. I feel like as long as Blender continues to make improvements I can use that as my primary sculpting tool and use my current version of Zbrush in those cases where I want to create high poly tertiary details like skin pores and such.
It is powerful but some tools are no so user friendly. For example, the plane is very hard to control. Sphere tool is very powerful but i can not be certain where it will start draw. I wish the plane can be easily manipulate like gizmo, then we can draw sphere on the plane.
As much as I like 3d Coat, it's buggy af. Weird ancient bugs that never get fixed. Mesh or textures getting screwed up while saving is the worst one, and has happened to me a couple dozen times. No way to undo it when this happens, because every time you save it does it again.
@@crisvis8905 I haven't experienced it, mesh and texture messed up on saving? I experienced most was small holes appearing on surface mode for no reason, but this seems improved in the recent releases. But as they add in new features new bugs appear, wish they pause new features for a while and really focus on polishing the performance.
Also, it doesn’t have the tutorial support that zBrush has. I bought it a year ago and learning how to use it is frustrating. There is no one stop shop to take you from beginner to pro.
@@LHK-art In the retopo room there are very old wheelchaired bugs they never fixed, vertices randomly getting infinite coordinates causing spiky triangles with apexes in the infinite space.
The removal pushed me to purchasing it before it disappeared, I was planning to get it next year for final year of college but nope not worth paying for sub when jobs in the mean time have ups and downs so pulling that much money out just to loan it via sub was a no go. Stupid decision i hope it bites them later
As long as your 2022 license works you dont need to worry for a long time. Hell vitaly Bulgarov used XSI for years even after Autodesk killed it. Latest and greatest features are not that great.
I bought the Zbrush license about 6 years ago and then had a kid. I only used it off and on due to being busy. Recently wanted to jump back on it and got a new computer so tried to reinstall with the newest update and even some of the maxon people didn't tell me I couldn't get the newest version they just kept telling me the 2024 isn't available. Then after going back and forth for a while finally someone at maxon told me that I have to subscribe and can no longer update. I told them they lost a customer.
In Europe you coudn't buy perpetual since 2022.0.8, was there different on other countries ? Could you buy a 2023 version perpetual at some point. I though perpetual was gone 2 years ago.
Arr No srsly, don't get why they make sub model for big companies making 1 mil a year or whatever, and also having freelancer versions selling for 300 bucks. Last year was the first time I bought maya, just because they released a freelancer priced version. Before that, arr
I feel deceived by the zbrush company. If I had known that what I bought was not the permanent license they claimed, I wouldn't have purchased zbrush at that time.
Maxon really knows how to turn the customers max-off.
Lol! They really do! They seem be be good at it
@@AlHowell why do you need zbrush

Oh for sure. This is a great way to do it. Zbrush 2023 will last me a very long time
Speedchar RUclips channel is showing very good workflow to switch from zbrush to blender

So happy I just renewed my 3dcoat license. For $50.
3d coat is a seriously underrated sculpt program. I feel they have probably spent no money on marketing.

Pre-Maxon Zbrush for the win! I don't have any FOMO over it. I have the tools I need.

I’m glad you got it!
This we all knew was going to happen when Maxon bought them. Does that make the developers sell-outs?

You should be able to upgrade to Zbrush 2022. something. But yeah, such a bummer.
Or you can give Maxon the middle finger and easily get a copy on the high seas. Problem solved.

Well, here we ARRRR again🏴☠
ill just crack it i dont have enough money and my country is trying to escape communism so excuse me Mr. Maxon.

You could upgrade to 2023 for like $650
I'd love to get Zbrush Core. However, Blender is enough for me. I only need a few items sculpted and subscriptions = MIDDLE FINGER!
No kidding!

Theyre pretty much telling people it's time to pirate the software.
what they trying to say either go out of zbrush or pirate it
Not going to sub. Will keep legacy as long as it can run. If they charge the annual upgrade at $100 to $150, i would continue to support them.
Yep. Good plan
Wasn't this news about 2 years ago? When Maxon bought Zbrush? I think it was.. But yeh it does suck..
No, they had a path to upgrade. I made a video on it when it happened. Yep, sucks
Mason makes good stuff, but the cost/benefit just isn’t there. They are going to end up in an unenviable position eventually.
Now every company want to collect your data, with latest algorithm 😢😂😂

$359/ year or $40/ month

Yeah, you’re two years late lol. Still though, this was 1,000% a greedy move and is their way of squeezing more money out of us.
They had a pathway for perpetual Zbrush users to get future versions buy paying an upgrade fee. But alas, it is no more
