It's so true. The shit I was making back when I was 18 was from another dimension. In my own experience, my thoughts and feelings at 18 are so volatile and emotional, it was like handling an atomic bomb. Now, here we are. Old but stable.
Way too relatable. Every time I look back at my teenage song ideas I'm just envious of the creativity and technical skill. One thing I do notice is that I am a lot cleaner nowadays, though. So it's a good trade-off.
This one hits so hard please please keep going with it and creating the HD version! But speaking of HD, with as much love as possible, please rerecord your archetype presets ad because that does look like it was recorded on a potato😂
Jam the whole tune! Shit I want to sing on it. New subscriber here and I've been enjoying TRT as great palette cleanser and a passive way to peer into your writing workflow and steal bits for myself.
After one week out of my home traveling now i'm back to watch Nib doing what he's good, i will take your quotes to me and i will preactice my guitar skills too dudee, i had much fun watching your reactions on your old riffs haha, much lovee!!!
I feel like that bass slide could sound even cooler beefed up with like some sort of synthy double or like atmosphere drop sample or something. Anyways, this is probably one of the coolest riffs you've worked on in this series.
Hey man love the videos! This riff is super sick! I wrote one of the songs on my band Exscends new ep in drop c and its a sick tuning for sure! I''m also use logic and seeing you make songs in the program is super helpful. Could you make a video going over all of the short cuts and templates you use along with other general tips you've learned over the years? Even better, you could also just take a second to point out what you are doing in these video and put a little shortcut keyboard in the top right that highlights what your doing on the keyboard. Thanks man, keep it up and congrats on 10k!
do you remember what pickups are in your kiesel? i have a vanquish running berylium i believe they are called? the pickups in your blue baby are so damn expressive
I know that feeling. That period when you just sit down and shred the guitar hour by hour, day by day, really makes u a better player and then that period ends, you switch to other stuff, for an example, composing and you forget the most of what you've actually learnt and achieved prior to that. Its crazy. Btw, when you record bass, it had such a nice crispy, yet punchy characteristic and I wonder why you put it so low in the mix? i mean, yeah, we can hear its punching the lows, but I lack a bit of high-mid character.
PLEASE realeasethis 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 i’m begging you!!!! i NEED to listen to this and i need it on my playlist. if it is already somewhere PLEASEEEEE i will stream it for hours on end and play it on repeat.
I listen to a few songs that are on the last record I recorded. Realize that there’s no fucking way. I can play that stuff anymore. It’s only been like five years.
Hey dude, what is the recording level on the meter for the shure sm 57? And what program do you record it with? Screenflow? I don't see shure in youre logic session. Thx! Great vids!
unrelated ask, what do you use after your sm57 to get it to the right level without noise? Im using a scarlett solo i got off ebay and its super noisy at any reasonable gain setting
Hey brother, idk if this will help. But I have used a sm57 (like many people before lol), however I have never had an issue with it being noisy. I use focusrite as well, i would maybe check to see if somehow your interface or cable could be causing some noise, if not try plugging everything into a power conditioner? Just a little suggestion, I’m not too experienced, but I hope this helps you find the solution!
“Tell ‘em to bring out the whole ocean” leading into the Bob Marley guitar riff is top tier.

Friggin filthy. AHHHHH
I'd like to see more of this old demo and you could get a lot of good content by journaling your practice
i love your brain
Dude your videos deserve way more views. Very entertaining and you‘re a riff wizzard!
Gorgeous man :D This is an amazing song, I love it.
Dawg. Please let this weeks video be the next part of this song lol
I feel like that bass slide could sound even cooler beefed up with like some sort of synthy double or like atmosphere drop sample or something. Anyways, this is probably one of the coolest riffs you've worked on in this series.
That silly guitar thing at 0:8 just got me laughing sooo hard😂😂

Were literally the same age and you're so much better than me 🤣🤣
Love these videos man, have you ever done a video about your project templates? I'd definitely be interested to see how you set them up
writing that at 18 is kinda crazy ngl
It’s like The Black Dahlia Murder meets Lamb of God
I love your videos bro
do you remember what pickups are in your kiesel? i have a vanquish running berylium i believe they are called? the pickups in your blue baby are so damn expressive
In this one I have an Illusionist humbucker and 2 Marks Singles!
@nickbroomhallmusic fantastic sounding setup man absolutely gorgeous in the mix.

I’m sampling the first 15 seconds for an intro; hope you don’t mind 😅
PLEASE realeasethis 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 i’m begging you!!!! i NEED to listen to this and i need it on my playlist. if it is already somewhere PLEASEEEEE i will stream it for hours on end and play it on repeat.
This has full blown rabea vibes
Reminds me so much of old Phinehas
Sounds like old Born Of Osiris :)
Keep going haha
When you punch in guitars can you hear the punch in moment if you solo the guitar track?
I listen to a few songs that are on the last record I recorded. Realize that there’s no fucking way. I can play that stuff anymore. It’s only been like five years.
Hey dude, what is the recording level on the meter for the shure sm 57? And what program do you record it with? Screenflow? I don't see shure in youre logic session. Thx!
Great vids!
I call her chandelier 😀
I hear a lot of Born of Osiris
Dude i just... want to be your friend lol. You just seem so fun.
Do you keep that bass in one tuning, or do you tune it differently for the different guitars?
turn up the bass !!
Is there tablature for this banger???
How did you get your drums to sound so sick like that? Did you buy a template from somewhere?
Can i ask what keyboard, percussion pad and computer programme you use?
unrelated ask, what do you use after your sm57 to get it to the right level without noise? Im using a scarlett solo i got off ebay and its super noisy at any reasonable gain setting
it's because scarlett sucks, you need a sturdy pre amp
Hey brother, idk if this will help. But I have used a sm57 (like many people before lol), however I have never had an issue with it being noisy. I dont really like djent/melodic metalcore all that much but that first riff is really good :-D

Life is roblox
This shit kinda sounds like the faceless
KEEP DOING IT AND GIT GUD!!!!! NO CHEAT TAKES!
I was expecting way worse, now I feel bad about my skill level lol. I’m not old though so I guess I do have time to get good.
