@@openarms2519 not worth mentioning in the same line as Anthony Hopkins - though admittedly I've not seen tons of Brando, but none impressed me as much as numerous Hopkins - Denzel Washington is downright bad most of the time, while the others are at least decent most of the time but yeah the ones you mention are really just the mainstream big names and shows little depth of exposure
@@zerpblerd5966 thanks man. I agree with you with Denzel mostly a bad boy image most of the time but there were some moments in other films that he did really good portraying other roles. Brando on the other hand was a very natural type of actor not over exaggerated and very real. Duvall was underrated but he is one of the best in old school acting. There are at least a bunch more great actors like Harrison Ford, AL Pacino, Gene Hackman and Ed Harris just so natural when Ed and Gene acts in the new Gen. like Joaquin Phoenix, Russell Crowe Johnny Depp that I really love watching.
@@openarms2519 yeah those are a lot of the mainstream names that get associated ( : the only bunch of that that I really agree with is Ed Harris and Gene Hackman being exceptional - but the others like Harrison Ford, Pacino, Depp, Phoenix, only have sometimes good performances, sometimes very good+ performances, but through a lot of their career have flailed around, done lots of crap, or done repeat performances of the same thing that while it works, doesn't show GREAT acting. You're forgetting Nicholson though - and even people like Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise have some stellar performances, like Paul Newman, Robert Redford, and so many. William Hurt, Harvey Keitel, I'd put these guys before DeNiro and Pacino every time (not saying they don't give good performances, but they aren't so varied or impressive - except, check out DeNiro in Awakenings, omfg!) these guys are way better actors with more range and capacity to elicit emotions and BECOME someone else: Val Kilmer, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Gary Oldman, Max von Sydow, Robin Williams
This man should be held up on a throne of obsidian to me sir Anthony Hopkins is joe black in a way the way he values life and the way he values people. He is smart and fearless and does a job he believes in wonderful man
Anthony Hopkins, yesterday was 2023/04/02, I was just recalled back some history with you, when I was as Claire Forlani performance of "Meet Joe Black". Wishing you all the best in your life journey. May God bless you. I would like to put you alive back in "Transformer", good luck.
If I have to make a top 10 list of best actor of all time I would put 1. Brando 2. Dev Anand 3. Anthony Hopkins 4. Leonardo Di caprio 5. Tom Hanks 6. Densely Washington 7. Daniel Day Lewis 8. Jackie chan 9. Amitabh Bachhan 10. Heath ledger [ for the role of JOKER alone he deserves all the awards and name in all the lists ]
gosh............... i get a sense that he’s just bouncing from role to role having fun but waiting for the next hannibal lol. no wonder he got depressed early 2000s, film sequels are never a promise but always a gamble.
it’s not easy for a guy to find his next thing when you’re done from something this big. and actors are just leaves on the wind, and this guy is too clever but he’s just lucky that people like him and his style of acting and how he looks. when it was never really in his control, for the most part. i can see how that might make him resent thomas harris a bit, seeing as he’s growing older and just playing with other roles.
GOD I LOVE THIS FELLA! Classy and talented legend. Wouldn't say sexy, but he's mesmerising. He's THE god of acting legends, very rarely a bad role.
he’s so cute wtf this is such an underrated interview. he’s all charming and shit.
Bill Parrish is one of my favorite movie characters of all time.
I swear , it is one of the best ! 🔥very few movie characters stuck with me like this one
One of Anthony Hopkins' Finest Performance

Very góod actor
I think Bobby Wygant had a chance with Sir Hopkins. He’s always flirtatious with her. It’s so cute. He’s a loner and Bobby is a widow.
sad that he never got to do a film with Meryl Streep
