- Does a Steering Stabilizer Bar Dodge Ram 2ndgen 1500/2500/3500 1994-2002 REALLY WORK?? (and some maintenance)
The Dodge ram 2nd gen is really known for their sloppy steering! I bought a steering stabilizer bar of Ebay and it has some positives and negatives!
Vacation is coming up so time for some maintenance as well!

Impact gun with chrome sockets and no safety glasses. Love it!
Great content, as always 🙏🙏
Fury Thank you! 😃 Stay tuned for more 👌🏼
Nice truck
What tailgate damper is that? Didn't know they made it for this truck.
Can you comment the link for that stabilizing bar I have a 97 ram 1500 4x4 that’s got that issue
This part would work on a ram 98 2500 that moves a lot when driving on the highway and is difficult to control in the lane at a speed of 60 mph
The wondering when you hit a bump is the steering stabilizer shock they make dual stabilizer kit wich fixes that wondering
When you go to grease your bushings make sure you push in on the grease gun line and hold it while you pump grease into it all your grease went out the side of the fitting not in the bushing
94-97 steering stabilizer location is different than 98-02 FYI
The reason you're feeling bumps in the steering wheel now is because your Steering Damper AKA Steering Shock is no good. Before slop in your Pittman arm was absorbing the energy. Now that you fixed it the shock from bumps is going right to the steering wheel.
Thanks for the clear explanation! I'm going to order one!
@Absolute Rebuilds Did you ever replace the steering shock/damper? Curious if that helped the bumps afterwards
The new stiffer stabilizer links you installed are probably what you’re feeling.
If I ever move out of the states I'm shipping my trucks with me
Also ship some gas!! Hahah
Nice bbq Ribs man!
Speedy Gamereviews hahah thanks !
There are torque specs on all those parts. After replacing them, make sure you torque them to the correct specs. Otherwise you can lost parts when going down the road.
I don't think it's normal to smash your Sway bushings is it?
You need to add the steearing stabiliser struts .
Sorry what do you mean
@@AbsoluteRebuilds I purchase the one you unstalled and also this dual shocks stabiliser . . just sharing the info with you .
Oh nice! Is handling better with the double? What brand are you using?
@@AbsoluteRebuilds rough country air bags. Strerring gear box braket . and the steering stabilizer .
Great video. What are the 8 red box’s? There’s 4 on each side of the engine.
Thanks! I also run the truck on propane. Those are the injectors for it!
I have a steering stabilizer on mine (looks like the exact same one) , I tried single steering damper and double steering damper (with Rancho shocks) still steers like a bag of $#it ..
Looks like that grease got away from you ... LOL ...
Haha well before this I needed to replace the complete front end. Tie rods etc etc.
What year and size wheels are those ?
They are from a 2014 Ram 1500 sport
Nice vid again! 👌🏼
Myrterr1 Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
How often you change the oil ?
About every 5000 Miles
I would do it every 3k better for the engine
More grease on the brake pads next time, lots more!
My dad truck has the same problem I gotta get it fixed
Make sure to check the steering linkages as wel!!
Stop wrenching on your oil filter. Hand tight is sufficient and you'll be able to take it off by hand next time
yah. why is it that every time i change someone's oil, its like they torqued it to 50 ft lbs
i know Im asking randomly but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?
I was dumb lost the login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Elon Misael instablaster =)
@Sonny Henry thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Sonny Henry it worked and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much you really help me out!
dude you have to change rotors with the pads
Does this work for 2wd ???
It really work! Yes but you need a different version! They are available on eBay for $75 or so
@@AbsoluteRebuilds thank you so much bro !!!
Are you in Europe?
Correct! Where in The Netherlands!
@@AbsoluteRebuilds that’s awesome! I good to see some trucks out there. My gf lives in Germany and every time I go visit I get sad because of the lack of trucks 😂
I’m why wouldn’t it work? The stock stabilizer is garbage compared to nitrogen shock stabilizers
You Should start a BBQ channel!
SeadooGeek Maybe in the future who knows!
It didn't make any difference on my 2500
That's not how you use a grease gun. All the grease is pouring out.
That's not how you tighten stabilizer end links, you just ruined brand new bushings. Theres torque specs for a reason. Maybe read the instructions forst next time
That’s why he is feeling it through the steering wheel
For the love of God fill the filter
dosen't work waist of money
Did you put the stabilizer link bushings on backwards in the one picture they are on backwards on the link? Over tightened for sure! Also there is a torque spec for the the pitman arm to shaft nut. I believe it’s 185 foot pounds. No way you got it that tight the way you were doing it. I would pull it apart and retorque. Actually take it to a shop and have them redo the whole job. You just should not be working on autos.
