    Thanks, Glen. Another terrific and simple guide. I use the toe-down chip a lot, and now I “get” the dead hands technique I’ll vary things a bit. I play in Scotland, where the grass is always wet or soggy. Your techniques are very simple and effective. Many thanks.

      Thank you so much for your feedback David.
      Yes, the ‘Toe Down’ is great for those firm bump ‘n’ run shots but using the bounce is key for soft conditions.
      Cheers
      Glen

    Well Done Glen on the three chipping techniques that you previewed in this video. Although I am familiar with all three of them and have used one or the other over the years, I was still able to pick up some valuable information. As you summarized, the most important thing is to "keep the face square!" Always learn or validate from your videos Glen! Keep up the good work.

    Great video very informative! I was hoping you would’ve hit a shot of the lie you had at the very end of the video. I’ve faced lies like those a number of times, and more often than not, I duff them 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m curious as to which technique, of the three you demonstrated, would you use for the shot on that piece of turf you were on? Looking forward to your response, thanks again.

    Love the dead hands - sometimes ball pops up and doesn't go very far but mostly it's ok !
    The hinge and hold works great for me only on uphill chips onto green ? You do have to hit down on the ball and you are right it's powerful !
    My least successful is the putt chip ! it normally flies across the green !!- trying to get this one right !
    Short game is great for scoring !
    Good work thanks !

    preferred club for a the toe chip?

    • @AussieGolfPros
      @AussieGolfPros  7 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you for your question @tuna411.
      That’s entirely dependent upon your required trajectory and amount of roll out required. You can even use a hybrid or fairway wood for this shot, although you wouldn’t touch the turf at all when playing those clubs.

    What iron to use this chipping shot?

      This is my Cleveland RTX-6 Sand Wedge, 56°.
      However, these shots can be played with a variety of clubs.

    I have 3 chips, the 'magic chip 'the feather' and the 'wrist' , the magic is back of stance, toe, drag through inside to out, the feather is closed club head, the wrist is open, I made videos on them

    the 1st and 3rd are the same chip!

    • @AussieGolfPros
      @AussieGolfPros  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you for your comment @medicopedia9052.
      The 1st chip is played with much higher hands (toe down) with an arm and shoulders motion.
      The 3rd chip setup is different, with lower hands for a higher trajectory. It’s a much more body controlled motion with increased rotation.
      Cheers
      Glen
