Grat tips, mr Z. Thanks! Here are my annotations: combine leads using: frequency spectrum, stereo field, adsr, same bus with compression (ott) and tape saturation (tape delay plugin), low lead: 277hz a 3800hz, unison 1, voice, middle, stereo lead 1 and 2: 200hz a 11000hz, high lead: 1000hz a 9000hz, pluck lead: attack sound, 700hz a 6400hz, saw noise lead: above 1000hz, narrow cut 5000hz.
Big Z does it again. Hey Z, I see that CLA bass is your go-to plug in. Can you make a video on why you are using that plug in and what that does? I am sure many of us curious about the plug in. Thanks!
It basically just allows you to use only one plug-in to process your bass. and it's so easy to use - it just has compression, distortion, EQ, and a couple other things
Thank you RUclips for bringing me here! Best tutorials ever. I know this is an old one but I'm wondering, is it best to always stack leads or can you get away without it? I had some mastering issues in the past due to increased loudness from stacking, however I was at this time not EQing enough and I used stacking on the kick drum. I did learn though that bass is where you want to cut the most, followed by mids and then highs. Great video and sorry for the ramble.
I really appreciate your tutorials!! They help me out so much! Could you possibly drop the presets for this one, I would like to mess around with them:) Thanks:))
Hi, great tutorial! Do you also have one where you do the whole track with bass and beat? ...or can you create another one? :-) ...so exactly for this track?
I love your vids so damn much man. Please keep doing this, i just want to learn more after each video. One thing thought that i dont quite understand. I know what that tape delay is, to me its a delay, but you say you are adding tape saturation, what is that exacly and how do you do it? thanks!
Just curious, when layering, do i want to turn off all individual effects, like reverb, delay etc? Should i have them all using the same reverb, delay etc? thanks
Already tried that but it doesn't have the same effect. The closest I've gone to this sound is by keeping the attack and release minimum. Turning off the legato and doing 'something' which has a reverse legato effect. Add shorter notes also help, just make sure they don't touch other and have atleast 1/8 beat distance b/w
Hey man I love your videos! Question though: if you want a different melody with a different synth to play later on in the song over the lead melody you just showed, do you delete the higher parts of the original lead melody or do you just pan the new melody slightly to the left/right? In other words, how do you layer different leads throughout the song while still giving each one their space? Oh, and hook em \m/!
Could you make video about how get song more airiness. I usually succeed to make remix when I use original song lowcutted pretty steeply but after I mute it my song sounds empty. Thx.
Sorry, I always just wanted to get really good at one synth (which is obviously Serum for me). Once I feel like I've mastered it I'll learn another one really well but for now it will be almost all Serum sorry!

Nice tips man, i learnt something new. Thanks
Thx it was really helpful. Trying to improve my layering that is why I try a lot of different tutorials.
Whoa, I've never thought to use tape delay as a saturation plugin... that's awesome 👌
Wow, thanks for this tutorial! It really helps! But please show in some next tutorial how your layer this huge bassline! And drums also :) Thanks!

Would love for you to finish this brooks style track! It’s really good
3:08 , u also able to do a mono leads with a bunch of voices, by decreasing width of serum oscillator from 100 to 0

Amazing! Can you do a tutorial on Foria/Deaf Kev?

Great tutorial, thanks!

I really appreciate your tutorials!! They help me out so much! Could you possibly drop the presets for this one, I would like to mess around with them:) Thanks:))
That melody is bonkers
What about panning them? Did you use panning? Hope you continue these series with the bass, drums and overall mixing. It sounds AWESOME!
Yeah sometimes I'll pan one of the lead layers way left and one way right. But you still always want the main sound right in the middle
Great video!!! Very helpful!!!
Could u possibly do a remake of Retrovisoon - Bring the Beat back? Its honestly one of my favorite songs rn
Hi, great tutorial!
Do you also have one where you do the whole track with bass and beat? ...or can you create another one? :-)
...so exactly for this track?
Really helpful, thanks.
WAIT. I think I have heard of this on splice or somewhere ! do you released ?? It is SUPER AWESOME !
Can we see how you handle the tape saturation please?
Great mate tutorial mate!
Talent!!! Please remake Brooks & David Guetta - When You’re Gone🙏🏼

Noice! Could you include the samples to the remakes?
Good stuff man!
Really informative video and btw you look so nice in this blue shirt
Selected Style tutorial please!
Sound Design: some of the notes in the lead sound more punchier as they have a click noise. How do you achieve that?
Already tried that but it doesn't have the same effect. The closest I've gone to this sound is by keeping the attack and release minimum. Turning off the legato and doing 'something' which has a reverse legato effect. Add shorter notes also help, just make sure they don't touch other and have atleast 1/8 beat distance b/w
sidechain
Add pitch envelope
Such a good tutorial
Hey man I love your videos!

Oh, and hook em \m/!
It’s never a good idea to have 2 different lead melodies playing at the same time it’d be way too crowded
HI ... Big Z
are highlead , plucklead ,and white nose stereo sound ? or mono sound?
I want to know it
Hi, do you remove reverb from each virtual instrument before sending them into your bus reverb? Thanks man. Your videos are really helpful.
I alway learn with u tutorial 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Hey, could you please explain me why all layers should have the same adsr curve? 😅
How are you not on Spinnin'!
he will be
Thank you so much!
Yo Big Z, quick question! Do you find there to be a reason not to use track stacks in Logic?
how to make that plucky lead?
amazing!! thanks
Could you make video about how get song more airiness. I usually succeed to make remix when I use original song lowcutted pretty steeply but after I mute it my song sounds empty. Thx.
Not really sure what your problem is, could be reverb or not enough synth layers to fill out the leads/synths, or could be something else
This track inspired by Mike Williams or Brooks?
you for hire
teach me how to use serum better pls so i don't have to be limited to presets
nice tutorial man
thanks guys, huge fan here!
Could u do a challenge making a track in fl studio in 1h.
So...
Make sure that every layer serves a purpose 👍👍
thanks m8!!!!!
This was so helpful wtf
Genius!!!!
Siiiiiiiiiiiick aaaaasssd ffuuuuuuccckkkkkk
You are a fking badass bro!
Why don't you just say right in your face bro 😂🔥🔥❤️
👐🏻
Can u start using massive and sylenth 1?
By Alex why would he use two different synth plug-ins when he could just use one like serum?
@@tails8684 It would be cool if he used many plugins instead of 1 all the time bro:)
By Alex those two synths you named literally do the same exact thing adding more things seems unnecessary imo
Sorry, I always just wanted to get really good at one synth (which is obviously Serum for me). Once I feel like I've mastered it I'll learn another one really well but for now it will be almost all Serum sorry!
Big Z Thats ok:)
i use 27 leads tho
Brook style
ATTAK
Can I use this melody lol
link midi???
Am I deaf? I can't hear the difference between the core leads and all layers combined.
the lead didnt sound professional at all
