Thanks for this tutorial especially for the explanation of frequency spectrum and correlation of leads. And also the mentioned single layer midi for several vsts is quite helpful. I’ll try to follow this for the creation of the next lead layering to hopefully get better results.

Did you add reverb and delay to individual layers? I thought that was generally not something good to do. Any advice on that?

Hey severman! Thank you for this tutorial, best one i've seen so far for leads. Is it a good idea to use the same reverb-sidechain effect on the chords as on the leads?
Yes you can do that on the chords too, wouldn't add the same amount of reverb on the chords tho

iZopotop Ozone, Fab Filter, Waves are all pretty good but even the stock plugins will do the job :)

It's just the factory bank that comes with it....

How much put sample rate and buffering
Tbh I've never changed the sample rate (44.1kHz). For the least amount of delay select the smalles buffer length (for example when you record something). Else you can set it to maximum to increase the CPU performance

Do you EQ each individual lead track for buildup frequencies? or just use one EQ on the bus
depends, usually i only eq them on the bus.
Your sounds must be clean coming out of the synth. I notice my Sylenth presets have alot of harsh frequency areas. Appreciate your work and the response!

Don't overdo EQing. Reference to a lot of other songs and just practise 🙌

More attack = more punch
Well increasing the attack in the synth will cause it to take more time to get to the loudest part which will make it less punchy :D
