The s2000 almost sound more full where the s3000 sound thinner and brighter. I'm thinking the s3000 is in some mode that isn't helping it on some tracks. The mids sound reserve and the highs over powered. The s2000 sounds of muddy bass. I don't think from this review I'll be changing out anything I have. I got the same feeling about the s3000 watching z review that the highs could easily become fatiguing. But when listening to the swans m300 the m300 sounded too reserved and bass heavy and the s3000pro sounded too many highs.
Yeah in fact I was in the market a couple of years ago and his review of the s1000 vs s2000 made me lean towards the s1000 as they were cheaper at the time, but also I liked how they sounded better. I suspect the recording doesn't reveal all. I listened to this on the S2000 Pro speakers. And the S2000 Pro in the video sounds much more anemic compared to the "original recording" while playing the video back on my S2000 Pro speakers. The S3000 Pro sounds much clearer and fuller. Hearing them in person I'd bet there's even more detail there.

Thx. Finally. Who win? I have the s2000pro, I think the s3000pro win but not by big margin. What do you think? Should I need to regret not buying the s3000 instead of s2000 ?!!!
Digital Stereophony thx. Logic for s3000pro to be better, if it was 100$ difference I would regret, but it is double the price and i used them for my PC, i am not a audiophile with pro sound system. S2000pro is perfect for me. Higher price for a reason, if you compare s3000pro to a 2000$ speakers they will sound bad, relativity
The 2000's have a much more detailed, almost British sound -- but it seems like it would get fatiguing after a fairly short interval. Like the difference between a pair of Linn Katans and, say, a pair of Ohm or B&W monitors of the same price-point. And I definitely hear the cabinets more with the 2000s.
Why does Edifier S2000Pro sound boxy when comapred to Edifier S3000Pro ? It also sounds boxy when compared to Swans M200 MKIII. Watching various comparisions I feel like Edifier S1000DB has similar sound signature to S3000Pro, just with less depth and less detail of S3000Pro. Looks like S2000Pro was a mistake from Edifier, thats why the latest S2000MKIII has design changes and now looks similar to S3000Pro. I would rate Edifier S3000Pro > Swans M200 MKIII > Edifier S1000db. I wouldn't even bother considering S2000Pro, its boxy sound and its trebles just put me off.
s3000 has way to much treble, just look at 10khz. Perfect in room response should be a 10db downard slope from 20hz to 20khz. S2000 sound more realistic even through my phone speaker. Easy to fool people these days by raising treble so that it seems like more detail and also putting shiny hi-res sticker.

And the S2000 Pro in the video sounds much more anemic compared to the "original recording" while playing the video back on my S2000 Pro speakers. The S3000 Pro sounds much clearer and fuller. Hearing them in person I'd bet there's even more detail there.
I jz bought myself an Edifier s2000mk2. Been searching high and low on google and dont really have any info. Is the s2000mk2 also known as s2000pro?
Can someone explain the use of these comparison? I'm pretty sure the 3000 is better than the 2000, but the 2000 sounds nothing like in this video. I know because I played the video on my 2000s.
My ears can prefer s2000 for long hours
No downgrade with bluetooth connection between them?
Wow what a difference.
3000 sounds noticeably better
S3000 is IT! The original track is great as well.
What do you mean original track is great
prefer s2000pro. How is s3000pro an improvement over its predecessor?
Please make review on jbl arena 130 vs edifier s3000pro!
the s3000 is the same as the 2k wound wise, but with much wider soundstage
Was this in Vocal, monitor or dynamic mode?
natnut2008 that really matters cause for metal in vocal mode wouldn’t sound as good at minister or dynamic
what is better for you?
Wow! S3000Pro is cool!
s3000pro vs r2000db, please.
Yes im also please.
I had both in my house. Obviously the s3000 pro is better (punchy bass, defined treble, great soundstage...) but the r2000db is amazing for his price.
To gra zupełnie inaczej.
both sound good on my $129 blaupunkt party speaker
The difference are minimal. Maybe it's possible to obtain the same curve with a simple equalization.
S3000pro or the Airpulse A100s? Which is better?
There will be a comparison soon, but for now I will say A100 is still my favourite at this price point ;)
@@DSAUDIOreview thank you! These videos are great. I bought the r2000db for my bedroom because of your comparisons and will be using your videos as reference for my living room speakers (a100, S3000pro, or swans m300). Again thanks!
@@stevenjiang1423 All those three are excellent speakers, can't go wrong with either :)
rhe s3000 is better but not twice as good, and is does cost almost double than the s2000. So the 2000 gets the vote for value
There're reasons why Edifier S3000Pro is more expensive
Dont care about price, which one is better please
S3000PRO
If s3000 pro had boobs I would lick whip cream off of them on national television
S3000 sounds like the singer is live in front of you.
Thx. Finally.
Who win? I have the s2000pro, I think the s3000pro win but not by big margin. What do you think? Should I need to regret not buying the s3000 instead of s2000 ?!!!
2000 sounds way closer to the original track.
S3000Pro is better, but S2000Pro is still solid so no reason to feel bad for your choice IMO ;)
S2000 sounds super "compressed". highs are terrible, seems like a big margin to me.
Digital Stereophony thx. Logic for s3000pro to be better, if it was 100$ difference I would regret, but it is double the price and i used them for my PC, i am not a audiophile with pro sound system. S2000pro is perfect for me.
Higher price for a reason, if you compare s3000pro to a 2000$ speakers they will sound bad, relativity
finally!
Night and day
1:46 like when you close window
Honza Marek i felt that too
Wurzelbert84 I just receive them and must agree with you, they sometimes sounds too bright
Fives vs s3000pro please
Not a good test as the S3000 Pro sounds so small. Not properly tuned.
please add edifier r1100
S3000pro vs a200, please.
Nubert nuPro a-200?
the 3000 are just the 2000 with the treble control on the 12:15 position; listening through RUclips neither sounds particularly enticing
Just Look at Frequency Response. you so wrong!
Ron, what do you think about Airpulse A300 vs s3000Pro?
I love edifier i own several of their products but here im sorry to say i didnt like any if them.
s2000pro sounds better to me, especially with metal. Maybe its my taste
These or the Fives and why?
S2000 PRO the best
I'm listening this on S3000 pro, so would that makes me listening to SS6000 pro pro? 🤣
)))))))))))
no just s3000^2
Can you recommend ? :)) thank you
@@pavelseifert8233 Yes definitely, I got these when it went discount at my country, i would say they are worth it, it might not be as good as those High End Bookshelf, but for the price, i think it's one of the best
@@JasperLTZ what was your price in discount ? In my country S3000pro are available only in one shop and the price is like whole one month sallary :D Big thank you for your responses :)
Ouch! Of course the S3000pro ate them, easily.
It all sounds like crap on my phone speaker.
750 euros?! No thanks :(
Not very impressed with both, while at least S3000 is ok. Both need a sub, but S3000 could do without.
Both sound artificial...urgh
