    As someone who has driven Land Rovers for the past 25 years, looking forward to what you have bought & where 👍

    This is a great review dude, these things are beasts! HAHA I wish everything was based on a land cruiser but sadly they're based on land rovers, that got me.... and congrats man, can't wait to see it

    Nice honest review. I’m a Land Rover defender owner for the last 17 years.
    I will say the J90 Prado looks like an excellent vehicle though. Superbly engineered

    I will say, your fuel usage doesn't sound that bad for a Toyota. I had a 1991 80 series petrol that was horrible and got almost a 1/4 of what you get. Reliable though. Thank you for the review.

    love the channel! i have same green 1997 LC90 2.7 gas over 200,000kms too. wondering if you recommend changing the timing chain to ensure it doesnt break while in use which would be a disaster right?

    • @TheUntraveledPath
      @TheUntraveledPath  3 года назад +4

      Thank you! Timing chains rarely break unlike engines that rely on timing belts. There is a way to check if the timing chain is in good condition. Ask your mechanic to do so, there is no need to change it if it is still fine.

      Mine is also 1997 green color . But interior totally different. It's non turbo manual. Codriver seat is bigger and can accommodate two persons easily. And seats on the third row are not front front facing but bench types facing each other. Mine clocks 170000 km and having auxiliary tank too but doesn't have rpm meter.
      Fully satisfied with the performance. I love my Prado

    Hello and thanks for the video. I’m thinking about buying a land cruiser prado 90’s but I don’t know how much comfortable are they for long trips? Greetings from Venezuela

    • @TheUntraveledPath
      @TheUntraveledPath  9 месяцев назад

      It's not the most comfortable vehicle out there but isn't bad by any means. If you upgrade the center arm rest for a taller one I find it to be good on longer journeys. The newt prado will be more comfy though

    Do you recommend buying these at over 250,000kms? Or will there be to many things that will start to break and need repairs?

    • @TheUntraveledPath
      @TheUntraveledPath  2 года назад +1

      It depends on how well looka fter the car is. It may have a lot of Ks but still be in great condition. The best thing to do is take it to a mechanic to have a look

    Wow,ist so simple and so reliable,not like new crossovers/suvs full of electronic,brake limited slip diffs,and all cameras and sensord,this old offroaders you can fix anywhere with a spanner and screwdriver,dont need computer like you need for new cars,i have nissan terrano 1995 2.7td,5spd manual, 2nd gen,and its so simple and reliable,but it uses a lot of fuel,its 10-13l/100km

    • @TheUntraveledPath

      Yes simple amd reliable but uses a lot of fuel! Same with the Prado!

    As a Toyota lover, I’ve owned the wrong 80 series, the one with the shit 1hz motor, now to own my 95 series prado, I’ve never owned a better 4x4, it’s comfortable, reliable and has power, Toyota build a good rig and I’m proud too own my “soccer mums car” now days 😂 I owned an old Nissan navara before that…. Glad that’s out of my life 😂

    It's not the engine that's uneconomical, it's the fact it's a permanent four wheel drive system.
