Thanks to all of you that have found this gem from the past, I am still so very, very proud of what we have accomplished more than 35 years ago. This clip is actually only video that was ever made and it was shitty Top of the Pops knockoff made on Belgrade tv, but hey, we were on TV and we were making our music known to larger crowd, so fuck it, we've said and did it. And it has so many views that makes me very happy and humble that our music touched so many souls across the globe. This iteration of the band was composed of Debeli (Milorad Milinkovic) on vocals, rhythm guitar and synth, Nebojsa Curcic on drums ( we actually recorded the song in studio with rhythm machine, thus the moniker with "Yamacs" box in which he plays in video), Mario Separovic on bass guitar and my humble self on guitar. As for the song, you could call it marriage made in hell between Sisters Of Mercy beat, Magazine guitar ( John McGeoch was, is and will always be my guitar hero) with oriental twist to scale and kick ass bass ride. Put on the top vocal from the grave from Debeli and you got Put. Again, thank you all for all appreciation that you have shown in comments. Mario P.S. I have found copy of our recordings, I will try to clean them up and either send them to Dronemf S. whom did amazing job on keeping a lot of quality music alive on his channel or will find some other solution. It all depends on how good they will come out. Edit: I have just read all attempts to transcribe words of the song, and boy, are they all wrong. So here is correct transcription, both in original as well in English: Na svome putu moras biti sam On your journey you must be alone Na svome putu moras biti sam On your journey you must be alone Na svome putu ja sam opet sam On my journey I am again alone Sudbina je moja da zivim It is my destiny to live Zivim za nju To live for her Svake noci ja gledam Nefretiti Every night I watch Nefretiti I to je normalno And that is typical Udaram glavom u zid I hit my head against the wall U svaku Subotu Every Saturday Samo za nju Only for her Svetovid se smeje sa plafona Svetovid is laughing from the ceiling I to je normalno And that is typical A ja moram da zivim And I have to live Za svoju sudbinu For my destiny Jer dete kasno je Because child it's too late Auu kasno je Auu it's too late I dete kasno je And child it's too late I da se umire even for dying I dete kasno je And child it's too late Auu kasno je Auu it's too late I dete kasno je And child it's too late Auu kasno je Auu it's too late Edit: I have uploaded first remix of Put on my channel with other songs from MiM, check it here: ruclips.net/channel/UC0b-K1LYd1BPSAz2b8vZ-GQ

Fun fact about the lead singer, Milorad Milinković, copy paste from Wikipedia: Milorad Milinković is a well known Serbian film director and screenwriter. He is best known for his film Frozen Stiff and for directing the first Serbian 3D film, Fifth Butterfly. He is also one of the Chasers in the Serbian version of the game show The Chase. Frozen Stiff (Mrtav Ladan) is one of my favorite comedies(highly recommend it, if you can find the subtitles, which shouldn't be difficult, it was filmed in 2002), the other one is a children film, haven't seen it. More facts from Wikipedia: Milorad Milinković was born in 1965 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Department of Directing, in 1991. He is a director, screenwriter, writer, guitarist, singer, songwriter, DJ, critic, actor, football commentator and composer. His graduation film "Satan of Pannonia" has already achieved great success in the entire former Yugoslavia, and he was invited as the only film from the former Yugoslavia to the Barcelona Biennale. He is married to the successful actress Jelena Đukić, with whom he has a daughter. His love was called ‘music’, and he became a successful guitarist and singer in underground circles. In the middle of the eighties, more precisely in 1985, he founded his own band "Morbids and multipliers", its composition consisted of Mario Surjan (former member of the group Joy of Europe) - guitar, backing voice; Dejan Stefanović (former member of the group Duh Nibor) - bass, accompanying voice and Sterije Tolić - drums and percussion. The members of the group are Marko Milivojević (later the drummer of the EKV group) as well as Mario Šeparović and Ćurčić. Their songs are "Play a Twist on Her Face", "Zombie", "Hit", and the song "The Way". Along with the band, there was also the Morbid Association under the abbreviation SMB (Belgrade Morbid Association). After the band "Morbids and Crowds", he tried his hand in the group "Big Sex". One of their most famous songs is "Seventh Day". Later, he was again in a band called "Dragons". He released an album with the band zmajevi in 2003, and from that same band in the famous second season of the series "Crni Gruja" there is also music. The most famous member of the band is, in addition to the director Milorad Milinkovic, and the producer Boca Stojiljkovic. After significant successes and leaving a mark in the music world, Milorad Milinković turned to the film world and went to Novi Sad to the Academy of Arts and enrolled in the directing department.
I feel like it's definitely a reference to Doktor Avalanche, the Sisters of Mercy "drummer" since they are obviously extremely heavily influenced by them
I have no idea how I arrived to this video, but the RUclips algorithm has truly smiled down upon me this day! This is the absolute best song and band I've heard in ages!
they were pretty much a cult band, and they didn't exist for very long, somewhere from '85 up to '91 and they never released an album, only a compilation of their songs
For everyone comparing this to Sisters of Mercy, I'd like to point out a few key differences. Consider the following: 1. This is a bop 2. it actually slaps 3. it doesn't suck Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
All you people who like this, look for Luna - Nestvarne Stvari (band - album). It's an old Serbian(former Yugoslavian) band from Novi Sad. I'm sure you'll like them. You can find them as La Strada on this channel.

After significant successes and leaving a mark in the music world, Milorad Milinković turned to the film world and went to Novi Sad to the Academy of Arts and enrolled in the directing department.

One of my greatest 80's Darkeri Flashbacks!!!
Pozdrav iz Minhen,
D.O.E.
Ovo me je vratilo u zivot
This is awesome, I've never heard this track before. Amazing find
Damn what a good bassist.
kako je dobar ovaj riff, bravo Tragach
That riff is something else!!
I feel this so hard in 2022! You all kick ass.
how cool is this! love it. and for the day good recording quality. and i thought the only band in the genre from this era was Laibach! :)
Got here accidentially. Please upload this song on Spotify, pretty underrated :(
If I translated it correctly, that sign on the drummer says something like "DRUM MACHINE YAMAHA". I'm not sure why but I find it hilarious
It says "Ritam Mashina", which means "Rythm Machine"
It's probably a jab at the music made at the time which all had a rhythm/drum machine instead of a real drummer. :)
@@maldivirdragonwitch he wants to say he is like a machine, but not just any machine, like a yamaha!
"DRUM MACHINE YAMAKSA"
I feel like it's definitely a reference to Doktor Avalanche, the Sisters of Mercy "drummer" since they are obviously extremely heavily influenced by them
Also check out Borghesia and Laibach from Slovenia/Yugoslavia.
puno hvala!
Mizar as well
South Slavs know from Dark Wave.
Yugoslavs
@@Corsa15DT we yugoslavs are all south slavs.. except bulgarians
I have no idea how I arrived to this video, but the RUclips algorithm has truly smiled down upon me this day!
This is the absolute best song and band I've heard in ages!
I don't know why YT thought I would like this, but they were so right.
Love the guitar
Autoplay magic! I'm glad I landed here. Great song!
We're gaining on a million...
FINALLY ON SPOTIFY!
This guitarist is awesome!
Esta chingon. Gracias por esta maravilla!!!
dang he is fine asf
@Rise the Reich he aged well
@Rise the Reich do you know where I can find more of their music?
@Rise the Reich He's part of a popular quiz on Serbian TV now.
He looks like me, ignore old pfp
he looks turkish tho
This could be Sisters of Mercy! Im 48, was a goth/bat caver in the 80s. Well and beyond, really. How have I not heard of this band before?
they were pretty much a cult band, and they didn't exist for very long, somewhere from '85 up to '91
and they never released an album, only a compilation of their songs
I'm half as young as you and I adore both bands
Marian! ruclips.net/video/yVPx4zalkiM/видео.html
Is your pfp showing Goddess Kali?
@@dust_bearer yes!
This is so badass! thanks for the upload!
Killer tunes! Love from america
For everyone comparing this to Sisters of Mercy, I'd like to point out a few key differences. Consider the following:
1. This is a bop
2. it actually slaps
3. it doesn't suck
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Brate, ja uopšte ne volim ovaj žanr muzike ali ako je pjesma dobra onda dobra je..
👍🏻Fenomenalno
I remember stumbling into these guys a while back now I bump them in my 80s camaro at full blast
Totally! Eldricht´s voice legacy with Death Rock driven sound like batcave way. Nice!
All you people who like this, look for Luna - Nestvarne Stvari (band - album). It's an old Serbian(former Yugoslavian) band from Novi Sad.
I'm sure you'll like them. You can find them as La Strada on this channel.
Sounds like Joy Division if they had completed puberty. Really cool.
lol funy description
but for me joy division was perfect :-))
JD really weren't that bad! This is a weak balcan copy.
not really
More in the vein of Sisters Of Mercy actually
I feel like I’m listening to Godsmack mixed with Rammstein in the 80s! This definitely was ahead of its time!!
Some guitar progressions sound surf 🏄. I love seeing videos like these!
Every second of this video is fantastically fantastic. There’s something about the yellow tint...
Legolas goes Goth
Killer melody. Love the video!
llistend to this song is part of my daily routine
Another new discovery and another foreign post-punk and goth scene to consume for the next year. Fucking great
RUclips rarely is so accurate in its recommendations, great song
this is really good!
Serbian band from Belgrade
The song is doing me over. That guitar is insane. I adore John McGeoch, early- Rob Smith and Wire - this is up there.
holy crap this trakc is awesome, how did I miss out on them???
Superb sound and chord structures man.
Reminds me of something you'd hear at the original Exit Club Chicago in the 80's.
Wow this bassline is jumping! Glad RUclips recommended this
I'm Brazilian and I love this sound!!❤
Thank u RUclips 4 recommending good stuff, you know me good.
Za bas niske muske vokale u ovom stilu vidi Fight Back - Sydney Vallette npr
Tremendous ! thanks for the up!
Medžuslovjansky veliky pozdrav. Vsim uspeha na svojem putu. Muzika 10/10.
hvala. Put ne ide dobro za sad.
Btw "put" means "path"
Don't know what they're saying but love them guitar is on point and drums hit the spot!
This is an ABSOLUTE GEM. Tell me there is more by this band?
Yeah, they have an entire chanel, just search up their name and read the description too, it's very interesting.
Круто ребята). особенно атмосфера)
wish this was on spotify
now it is :)
Merci Madeleine !! 😄
Muy bueno. Me gusta mucho la intro. Saludos desde España.
Always an awesome tune
Proud to be part Yugoslavian
eh theres great goth music from all over.
very clear and straight....i love it
This is amazing , Yugoslavia in the 80s 👍👍
