It was not isolated from west ,but yes 80s was most productive period here by far ..even in my small town there were so much awesome rock bands ,Yugoslav scene was like for sure 3th in world ..behind USA and UK(maybe even in front UK ) ..but because in not in english now known outside off here

That's the thing. It wasn't communst but socialist country. And it had good cooperation with both east and west. Officially non-aligned it combined best from both "worlds". Until somebody decided that is not enough and everything went💥

It was not isolated from west ,but yes 80s was most productive period here by far ..even in my small town there were so much awesome rock bands ,Yugoslav scene was like for sure 3th in world ..behind USA and UK(maybe even in front UK ) ..but because in not in english now known outside off here
