OK, here is the big announcement: I have managed to find the way to publish both Morbidi i Mnoci music, as my own through online publisher Tunecore. For the price of decent meal in restaurant, I got my account setup and test published two songs, Put and one of my new songs Singidunum to all streaming services available. They are live now, so if you use Spotify, Apple, iTunes. Amazon, Deezer, Pandora music, etc. you can find both in them. For any online music service that you have, just use Morbidi i Mnoci for artist search. For my new stuff, just use Mario Surjan as artist search. After this test drive, I will publish more under both accounts. This is actually awesome, because it is first published music for MiM ever (it only took 40 years) and there were so many fans requesting our music on Spotify or other streaming services that I just needed to do it.All songs will be properly credited with authors for copyright, in the same way as it is done on my RUclips channel in descriptions of the songs. Any income made by these releases (🤣it will probably be zero, but you never know🤣) will be donated to charity, probably to one that it is supporting war orphans, considering history of country from where we are. Enjoy and spread the word! 🤘
Mario beskrajno Vam hvala što ste prvenstveno stvorili ovu muziku a potom hvala za sve što ste sada uradili i udahnuli novi život u nju. I posebno hvala za tekstove pesama. 🖤
I found the MiM songs scattered in YT and the very amazingly yellow Put video right after the pandemic started and am grateful I can now listen to all of them in this quality. You guys sound incredible!! I loved to finally see Put on Spotify, already went to my playlists! Have you ever thought about a band reunion? Greetings from Argentina!
Hi there! Soon, there will be the same compilation of songs that I have remastered on Spotify and other streaming services, probably in 3-4 working days time. Put was experiment to see if it actually worked. I would love to see band reunite for reunion tour of concerts, but we are scattered all over Europe and to organise some reunion tour would be very difficult, especially in our present times, where even the well established bands have problems with tour costs that have skyrocketed. We have also lost touch with each other, last time when we were in touch was more than 10 years ago... But hey, never say never!
Thank you so much for your efforts, Mario. I got to know "Put" some months ago, thanks to youtube's algorithm and was completely blown away. I thoroughly enjoy your music and am happy you preserved it by doing this. Cheers from Uruguay.
Thank you so much from France. I do love these songs and your work. Discovering ex yugoslav bands and I really like them. Trying to share it in France. Thanks a lot
@@MarioSurjan It is done and it's geat. And I have a real crush on The Great Escape I listen over and over! A powerfull and sad wave that really touches me
Holy Mackerel! I just listened to these 10 songs while eating dinner. The many musical influences I heard in them was amazing. It was almost like listening to 10 different bands. Astounding. I will have to listen to these again -several times- to absorb all I heard. Thank you, Mario Surjan!
You're welcome. I am curious what band influences you will find. I have already posted about inspiration under single videos for every song. You can also check my other stuff that I have published on my channel, all songs are different from each other... I guess that this is the way that I am wired...
I just woke up and saw put posted on r/goth, someone commented that the remaster is out. I lost count of how many times I heard this song, my favorite song, I always make my friends listen too. kisses from Brazil.
Thanks, I did not know that there was Reddit buzz over this, I will subscribe to r\goth. Make sure to check other stuff on channel, there are some new things that I have compose recently.
Thank you for listening 🤘 That is actually great idea. Maybe limited release of vinyl through Patreon can be done in the future. Of course, there is lot to be done, but it is great idea. Thanks 👍
@@MarioSurjan I don't know where you are in the world but due to the vinyl resurgence there are many companies that will do short runs. I know there are a few in Europe and the United States. If you ever do have a short run let me know!
Very valuable piece of goth rock and Yugoslavian music history in my opinion. Did you ever in your band days considered releasing an album or going somewhat further in the music industry?
@@MarioSurjan That's such a shame! You guys were/are AMAZING! Love all the way from Canada. I'm putting this in my playlist right next to Sisters of Mercy and Bioconstructor. Thanks so, SO much for this upload!!! Have listened to the whole album now... its going in a bunch of playlists... so many influences throughout and all done so well. Seriously so good!!!
So, fellow axeman. It was long time ago, but there were mostly two guitars used. One was Epiphone double cutaway, heavily modified with Wilkinson tremolo and two humbuckers of unknown origin, but they were output beasts. Second was Westbury Standard, great axe that you can see in our only video. Probably best middle ranged guitar with DiMarzio humbuckers. As for pedals, mostly Boss and Electro-Harmonix. Studios where we recorded were small and we used no amps, just pedal chains directly to mixer.
For now, I will keep songs here, I like interacting with comments even if it is not perfect. I will see what can be alternative solution in the future 👍
Check out tunecore to license your old work. No doubt there is a mountain of ad rev sitting there waiting for you. I'd do it quick before someone else claims it as their own. Beautiful work, would hate to see someone else get paid off of the decades of effort put into your art.
@@MarioSurjan Luckily you never signed to a label, as at this point they would be stepping in to claim "their share". Typically they (recording labels) wait until an artist passes on and claim their work with little resistance. You are free from this. You will even be able to pass on your works to your loved ones when the inevitable comes. The power is in the artists hands these days, field has been leveled. Fortunately your music has stood the test of time and resonates heavily with many generations. The beauty of music. Now you can do what many hadn't the chance. Millions of artists I reckon never get to see the fruits of their labor in their time. I am so elated to not only see you enjoy the beautiful emotional connection your work has brought, but also not be shackled and commoditized or robbed. Thank you for adding your piece to this great big puzzle that is ones musical and life's journey!
@@MissingNumb Totally agree with you and thanks for beautiful words. My biggest gripe was always how to get our music out and all subsequent shit that happened after we try that. It actually broke the bands where I was playing... I bit the bullet and created Tunecore plan which will help me get MiM and my music out on Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple music. As for RUclips, I do not think that I will go after channels that have published our songs as they did excellent work in keeping our music alive. Hell, even I did not know that we gained such cult following if it not was for them...Thanks again for your advice, please contact me at mariosurjan@gmail.com as I have present for you, MiM and my music in flac format, so that you can enjoy it without restrictions 💪🤘
Thanks man. Just to reassure you, my current playlist contain Messugah, Opeth and Dewin Townsend and my No 1 album of 1988 was Operation:Mindcrime by Queensrÿche 🤘
