hi jimbo, i have my test next week, i am confused about this the reverse parking - i dont straighten the wheel and go back this is what my instructor said for me to do - - put on left indicator and line up back seat of your car with end of other car (with a 1 m gap) 2- change GEAR to REVERSE 3- turn WHEEL LEFT for 1 full circle 4- CHECK right shoulder 5- LOOK BEHIND and reverse till 45* angle 6- turn WHEEL RIGHT 1 full circle 7- reverse till FRONT door handle looks like it’s hitting the kerb 8- turn WHEEL FULL RIGHT LOCK 9- reverse until parallel 10- change GEAR to DRIVE 11- make a STRAIGHT WHEEL and roll forward leaving a 1m gap

Hi Jimbo for me I use solid dividing line as reference to teach my student, that is very useful for most traffic light. If you could see dotted dividing line, should have enough distance to brake for yellow light, if only can see solid dividing line, don't have enough distance to stop safely . 😁

How mate as I said in the video you have to work that out yourself with experience. It all depends on how fast you are going. The faster you are going the more space you need.
Hi Jimbo, I had a question about the P's Test. If you are in the left lane and stuck behind a really slow person are you allowed to overtake when it is safe to do so? Or should you just stick it out and stay behind them.
Hey Jimbo Wish I was here to say I passed first go But hopefully next time haha I did have a question My score would of been great But I failed by when doing some of my right turns I used one hand on the inner steering wheel Instead or criss crossing your arms over I had two hands on my steering wheel, turn was fine but one hand was on the outside and one must of been face down on the inner through out the turn I actually didn't know I was doing it lol But did u have a video where u demonstrate that or if u had any tips or answers Be much appreciated 😊
Hi Jimbo, in my test I had a peculiar issue of a very narrow lane with cars parked on both sides on and off - no road markings. The issue I had was that to continue driving I had to keep it in the middle most of the time where only 1 car could pass. When I had to take a right turn at the end of the street onto a larger street, I kept the car in the middle, and I had a fail item there. So even though I had to turn right, the lane was so narrow that I was expected to move to the left before turning right!! Do you have any more pointers on very narrow roads?
I have my driving test on the 14th here in the ACT. i find it impossible to find any ACT related videos. Are there any major differences between NSW and the ACT?
Hi jimbo question for you when merging to the left for an emergency viechel how should you deal with it do you still do all your checks asking because my reaction time isn't instant yet im still getting used to learning to react quickly but havnt been in a scenario like it yet Also what do you do in that situation if your on a roundabout while an emergency vehicle has to get passed
@@Kimmy_autistic28 yes you should still do all your checks and signals. Re the roundabout just get through the roundabout and then pull over. You don't need to react instantly just sensibly.
Hi Jimbo, I have been watching your videos everyday and still enjoy watching. I have a question: Do the examiner mark whether we check the interior mirror or not when turning or preparing to stop?
I dont really know what you mean by test time start, im just going to assume you mean when do they start marking you, usually just starts as soon as the instructor gets in the car and the engine turns on. They check the car before the test, average time for a test is approximately 30-35 mins. Obviously it could take you less depending on the traffic conditions.

@@jacobycai3209 Hi mate I do plan to do such videos and I did once attempt a reverse 45 deg Park video. This issues are time and being The Driving Test Guy, such parks are not on the test so I tend to only do videos relevant to the NSE driving test. Also such manoeuvres actually require steering skills awareness that you dont get from watching a video. You need to drive and reverse for hours and it comes naturally. It's like this video the yellow light one. You need experience to judge when you have or have not enough room to stop comfortably at a yellow light. Watching a video doesn't give you that. Alot people want the easy fix "watch it on tik Tok" but some things you have to actually put time in to accomplish. Reverse angle parking is one of them. I would suggest actually go out and attempt such a park 100 times. By the time you get to the 100th you won't need a video.
Hi Jimbo, this isn’t part of the test but I was wondering if you could do a video on how to merge into the freeway/highway? And the different scenarios, also do you always need to match the new speed limit quickly when merging into the freeway/highway ?what if theres a lot of cars? Or what if they don’t move or give you enough space for you to merge in? Thank you

Ok it's an interesting concept but I dont think a lot of lights have that exact setup. Alot of have turn lanes and medium strips.

With your left hand if you stick your index finger upwards and your thumb horizontal it forms a L. L as in left
