This was actually a really good review. You all need to do more stuff like this. I’m not a huge fan of the Challenger, but this one is really cool. The shaker hood with the 6-speed manual is the only way to have it as far as I’m concerned.
I always loved the shakers until they came out with the hellcat hood on the scatpacks. The shaker imo looks very plain and empty compared to the scoop with double vents
Wide body, shaker hood, stick-shift and that paint job..?!? SIGN ME UP..!! I love Dart Swingers, too- so I love the tie-in with those little bundles of joy! I’ve never lusted for a Challenger- some guys on my street have them- but as a Last Edition…Hmm…should I go for a Swinger..?!? Nah…at my age I’d look like a complete CHAV in one (British for Tool)…plus I know I’d have my license revoked within hours..!! Still…I can clearly see the appeal..! These cars won’t be repeated or replaced, so if you’ve ever been itching for Pure, Raw, American V-8 Muscle…and brand-new from the Dodge Bros…LAST CALL..!! (Be prepared to pay BIGLY to park one in your garage…the markups will be unbearable…)
Well … just look at him. I’d only listen to his opinion on dungeons and dragons and Anime - not muscle cars. Dude has about as much muscle as Chaz Bono.
So, great video! I can tell how much fun you had in this thing lol. As far as mustang and Camaro being "better performers"... I would reply with "Only if we are talking Automatics". When we are talking Sticks, the field get's a WHOLE lot closer in performance between the three and I would say that I find the Big Challenger (Especially with the 305s) easier to launch. Great vid!
None of the last call 6.4L Scats come with a sunroof! I just couldn't get beyond that. Not with spending north of 65k out the door. And no Harmon Kardon sound systems either. A salesman claimed it was for weight reduction but this isn't a 1320 with seat delete or a drag pack. Being absent those 2 options was so disappointing and a literal deal- breaker for me. I'm buying a regular loaded 22-23 wide body Scat Shaker with a roof instead. No last call unfortunately. I also need options like adaptive cruise (8sp auto) for road trips in the beast. Too much money for just the engine and a manual that's gonna get smoked at stoplights by the automatic.
I also wanted a sunroof. And I hate this shade of green just as much as I hated it back in 1970... and yes, I was alive in 1970. But I love everything else about the car. So I overpaid for my new Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody Swinger ( my daughter giggles about that one ) with the normally aspirated engine, a manual transmission and of course, without a sunroof, adaptive cruise, or a Harmon Kardon sound system. But hey, my very first car was a 1965 Plymouth Satellite with a 426 wedge, a 4-speed on the floor, "armstrong" steering and "stand hard" brakes. It was a beast in every way. But my new Dodge Challenger is a sheer delight to drive in spite of it coming from the Joker's garage. Maybe I'll add some purple stripes to it to make it complete package. Regardless, I didn't ask any of you haters to write the check. It's my money and I'll spend it as recklessly as I want to. Oh... and I own brightly colored Harleys too. Something about having a small appendage... or something like that.
Hell yeah, man. I think they have a 2SS and an LT1 with a neon Green and a black hood that's pretty bad ass. Also has the excellent LT1. If you don't care about a back seat, the Camaro is awesome too. Also has the TR-6060
This guy is a terrible reviewer. First he says he has recommended Challengers for a long time......but then says this is the first time that he has driven one? Then his comments about various aspects are comical. He talks about seeing the shaker hood shake. Not rocket science there my friend, hence the name. Then he goes on to talk about how shifting a manual transmission "it feels like you are doing something mechanical".......thank you Captain Obvious !!! This guy should not re reviewing cars with these types of comments.

For sure, man. I went in for a Hellcat, but when I saw the Shaker with the Widebody and the TR-6060... I was hooked.

I bought one in F8 Green on Halloween. I lowered it 2" and put Nitto 315/35/20 tires on the back. Best Muscle Car Ever.
Wait.....an automotive journalist said a particular car is"the best on sale"!? Yet had never driven one BEFORE GIVING THIS STATEMENT
I have lost a massive amount of respect for this outlet after hearing that

Swinger edition c'mon 😂, what's next? 50s crisis edition?

That’s what I did too. And I love it
The 2023 is the last call. The special editions are separate models

It's like they are making Hot Wheels come to life.... what's the Camaro version of this?
It's probably baby shit green too, trailer boy.

Gold School rims- Anyone at Dodge know the paint code? Or a color match?
But... does it come with a color-coded set of loofahs?
LOL! Whats it worth today? 😮😮 Their a dime a dozen! Will Dodge even be in business next year.
Red hat with white lettering?
My wife had a 72 swinger, brand new, looked nothing like this. I had a 72 Chevelle supersport, we used to call dodges ( DOG'S)
How do you only get 485hp from a 6.4liter engine??
Dude, it's not a SBC -- it's a refried Plymouth. Don't expect much.
Why did they put “SWINGER” on the side of a car that’s mostly bought by middle aged men? 😂😂
Look up Mopar history and "swinger".

Swinger.. really! Remove the swinger decal and the car would be fine.
So wait, you're admitting its totally cool to say whatever you want about a car having never driven it? Such is the state of Automotive Journalism.
LOL: when they painted Pintos that color, it was known as baby shit green. You ask me, nothing has changed.
