I've been to the Titanic museum in Branson Mo. It's a sobering look at the tragedy, and I do recommend if you are in Branson going to see it. This, and Rapping dog one, are both extremely offensive. Sad thing is, I'm betting some people didn't know the ship really did sink in 1912- and pretty much how Cameron showed it. Then again- Cameron actually went down to the sunken ship many times.
In the start of the movie, the old mouse said that no one was missing and no one actually died. In real life one day after the ship sunk, a newspaper about the titanic was printed saying “No Lives Lost”. I think that mouse had believed in the newspaper and didn’t realize that there were casualties in the real life Titanic.
"This all happened because of an evil greedy human being." That line in the movie just baffles me. Out of all the cautionary lessons you could make with the Titanic, you chose a conspiracy theory?? Did Alex Jones write for this film??
Disney at least put effort into they're film when they botched up the story of Pochahonas. And can you believe there's actually a sequel to this train wreck?
AdamGregory03 oh i know about the sequel. its so much worse. if you thought this film was bad the sequel literally made me feel dirty for 3 to 4 days after i watched it.
Merete Nora i like cloudy with the chance of meatballs 2 but i agree with you about titanic not to mention that the movie thinks the whales should be the main focus. Instead of the TITANIC!!!
Emoji Movie’s animation is a 6/10 for me. The backgrounds are nicely done and the character animation is pretty fluid. But it feels like a pretty bland environment and the character designs could use some work.
About Gregory Snegoff: You forgot to mention his roles in Robotech. (It was his most well known work.) And the reason for him being in the bad animated Titanic films is because he was living in Italy at the time, and he didn't have much work to do.
I can’t wait for the sequel, The legend of the San Fransisco earthquake, where mad man dug a hole in the ground to make it crack so he could eat the seals on the docks. But then, a big worm with a kitty face saves everyone by grabbing the 2 sides and putting them together
Did you happen to notices that one of the mice looked almost exactly like Five and the other looked like Tony, only without the hat and from An American Tail? They've either inspired them or just straight out tried to copy them.
I do have a theory of why this film is so bad. Perhaps the film had a very troublesome production, it may have went through so many script rewrites, many different directors and writers, and was probably in development hell for several years. Basically the filmmakers didn't enjoy making the film anymore then we did watching it, now keep in mind this is only a theory not fact.
The truth of the matter is that the people behind this movie only knew about the James Cameron movie, and didn't know it was based on something that really happened. The fact that all three of these movies call it a "legend" or a "myth" should be evidence enough of that.
Gregory Snegoff was in all three of these films. Maltravers in legend of the titanic, the rapping dog in titanic the legend goes on, and the dog in tentacolino/in search of the Titanic. How do you not only sign on for these movies three times, and manage to put actual effort into the voice work?
There are a lot of animated films out there that give the word animation a bad name like "Escape from Planet Earth", "Legends of Oz", "Foodfight", "Happily N'Ever After", "Eight Crazy Nights" and many more on the list of worst/bad animated films, especially the other animated Titanic movie "The Legend Goes On". Not just this one, dude.
Love the Spaceship Earth music I spotted at the beginning! When I heard that, I just kinda laid down and stared at the ceiling because I love Spaceship Earth's music.
As the Nostalgia Critic said in his review: -Nobody dies on the Titanic -Animals can talk with moon magic -Sharks form underwater gangs -Whales are Jesus -And the reveal of the giant talking octopus in New York City got absolutely no media attention whatsoever
Honestly, I think the orchestra both makes sense and doesn't make sense. On one hand, it makes much more sense than rapping in 1910 times. "Man, 1910 times were weird!" But on the other... how do you even get instruments that small?! "Man, 1910 times were ScArY!" First this, then FoodFight? Jeez, Chris loves seeing ya suffer, does he?
But the writing would still be criticized for its plot like the inconsistencies with some of its fantasy elements regarding the speaking animals, Don Juan being seen as an unintentional pervert from the brief scene of him sniffing Elizabeth’s glove, and the forced anti-whaling message. Even if they were rewritten to be fantasy films not connected to the Titanic, they’d still be bad.
I don't want him to do it. Next to the Nostalgia Critic, Animat is my favorite movie critic on the web, and FoodFight nearly killed the former. Please, for Animat's sake, don't force him to do something he'll regret. Oh, I will say watching FoodFight is good for something. Halloween is right around the corner, and this, along with Son of the Mask, are perfect horror films in disguise to watch. Still, we shouldn't force him to do this.
...I'm guessing you mean that in regards to AniMat's review, in that anyone who dislikes the _review_ is saying the film is good, which is bad. Because, at first glance, it seemed like you were referring to the movie itself, and I was like, "What?" But yeah...I wonder who disliked it?
Eli Copperman I mean the idiots who know what they are watching is really bad and try to make up reason that it's good, or even attack other people who disagree with them. I respect everyone's opinions dealing with animation, but I refuse to respect those that disrespect the facts of what make something good or bad. If you like this film, and admit that it's your earnest opinion, then I'm alright with that.
Why, why do tentecals (the octopus with the puppy dog face) exist? Like they could've gone with a normal octopus. Like I just want to pour an ocean of bleach into my eyeballs
Even if the writers didn't know about the deaths of the people on the Titanic, they still don't use logic! Let me explain: When the giant octopus thing tries to lift up the ship, you can see the bow is well under the water. This means that whoever was trapped down there most likely drowned. Yeah, "no one died on the Titanic" my ass!
You wan’t to know something, It was animated by a North-Korean company(not kidding, but this was 1999, and they worked on The Simpson’s as well, It is called SEK studio.)
Funfact about the German dub: there's a German dub Another funfact about the German dub: the voice actors who did the voice acting for Elizabeth and Don Juan also did the voice acting for Rose and Jack. Yup. As in "Rose and Jack, the main characters from Cameron's Titanic"-Rose and Jack.
Titanic the Legend Goes On baes on Cinderella whose protagonist are look like Jack and Rose they are also Anastasia and Dimitri from Anastasia but this Titanic whose father and daughter reminds me and similar appearance of Jean Valjean and Cosette from Les Miserables and a young boy is like Newsies story but it happens 13 years ago 1899 the governor of New York is President of the US whose successor is the President of the US during this event
having a large cast of writers usually means that none of them completely understand what is going on. It's actually expected something so random is made by multiple writers.
OK, I'd like to get something straight here. While the movie may be bad, I really don't think an animated movie about the story of the Titanic was really a bad idea, nor the idea of putting talking animals in it. It is possible to do something like that and make it work; anyone remember Balto? It had talking animals in a serious story about how children almost died from a serious disease, and it did take some liberties, but it was good because it was well-done, and the liberties didn't interfere too much with what happened in real life. But for more serious historical events, question: Who among you has read the Epic Order of the Seven books? (You should; those are chapter books for practically all ages.) In that series, a group of immortal talking animals are put into serious historical events like the Revolutionary War. And yet they work because despite the talking animals and the few liberties that are taken, the stories stick pretty faithfully to what really happened for the most part, and the liberties again don't interfere too much with what really happened. So you see, the idea of talking animals in an animated movie about the Titanic can really work; it just needs to be well-made and stick to keeping it rather historically accurate. This movie is devoid of both of those. That's why it's bad. Though there is an explanation for the historical inaccuracies, and that's that the makers only knew about James Cameron's movie, not the real-life disaster. They didn't know that his movie was based on something that really happened. The fact it's called The LEGEND of the Titanic and has the crew members not looking like they really did should be evidence enough of that. The movie is still bad, though; don't think I'm trying to say it's not. Just some things to consider, is all. And hey, this is my opinion.
I remembered when the Nostalgia Critic reviewed the animated Titanic movies. on the back of the case it says, "The REAL story of the Titanic" so the real Titanic had talking mice aboard it? I have a feeling the people who made these movies don't know that the Titanic accident really happened in real life and that hundreds of people died. Doug also said during his review, "maybe the company saw Leonardo's movie thought it was a fairy tail" because these animated Titanic movies made me fear that over a hundred years from now, someone is going to make a animated movie about 9/11 and add talking animals into it and even try to sneak in an environmental message. "No one died when the towers fell, there was no bombing, it was all aliens!"

I can't wait for the sequel, the Legend of 9/11, in which a giant bald eagle saves everyone involved in that "misunderstanding".
The War Doctor So... would the cause be a tornado, Communists, or would they keep the terrorists?
What about the third installment,Man of Hidenberg,Where Superman saves the People from that other "Misunderstanding"?

Maybe if both films were about a fictional ship instead of the Titanic, it would likely not get hated much.
