Dude. You just made me feel better. I was there for the first time yesterday with the same Penn 2500 reel (first time jetty fishing and I didn’t know better). I got spooled twice by monster reds. They both ran into the rocks. Grrr.... I have a lot of learning to do at the jetties. Thanks for the vids. Keep ‘em coming.
I lost my first bull red yesterday and I was upset but I stayed with it and still had a good time waiting to get a drop net now love the videos like always keep it up

I want to see you Carp fishing, which is hardest thing in the world to do, I have being carp fishing for about 8 months now - no luck what’s so ever. Carp is an invasive species in my area and it’s a great thing to do at least where I live. Once I cut on on accident, huge dude like 10 to 12lbs after that I put all my money and time into catching one and fishing became nightmare. Some say carp is a magic fish, very smart, I challenge you to catch one.
Coop not sure if you know of Ted Williams one of the greatest baseball players ever my personal favorite. Heres my point you remind me of him he was a noted sportsman he fished hunted but his love for fishing was crazy he had his line of rods/reels lures boats boat motors etc. Any how he would fish alone alot its kind of what you do for a show but for him it was in the 60's 70's.

You could make outriggers for that boat out of PVC to make it more stable. I did it for a canoe and it made a ton of difference.
