Hello again, just wanted to send you a greatful update! We canned a 1/2 bushel yesterday and we’re starting the other 1/2 today. You sure weren’t kidding about it being an all day project and we had 3 canners going! 😆 Excellent video and they turned out perfect. I’ve only ever boiled raw peanuts myself and they take forever. I also had to soak them overnight. Using green peanuts is a game changer in regard to time, taste and texture. I’ve always wondered why mine never turned out as good as I wanted but just chalked it up to me being a terrible but willing “cook”. Hope you’re having a Great Day and much appreciated!!! Your channel is Awesome btw! So glad I found it. ❤
I canned with my mom when I was a kid. My wife is also into canning so I like to think I picked well, or got lucky is more like it. 😆 We’re gonna try this method as I love boiled peanuts!!! She’d never had them until she met me but she likes them now too. Thanks for all the tips!!!
@@MimsysGarden yep, she’s a special lady alright. We were called “2 peas in a pod” recently and I agree. Soaking a batch right now actually and looking forward to the results! Thanks again!! 😁👍
I really love your recipe and the extremely low amount of salt that you use because everybody else I’ve seen uses a lot of salt and I can’t wait to try that swamp mix. Yum. Also, this is the first video of yours I’ve seen, and it made me a subscriber, happy canning.
Girl, I absolutely love boiled peanuts, they was a huge staple in my house when I was a child with my grandparents, I'm 52 just to give you an idea lol....God bless you for this, and I just started learning to can and IM OBSESSED LOL 🥰🥰🥰
Peanuts grow real well in Oklahoma I have thought about growing some but not until I get my eco system repaired.. hope you faired well in the storm. Thinking of you sweet friend. Love you! Wendy🐞🦋
That's neat doing green peanuts.🥜 Not sure if I've had them. I saw you have Ms Lippys season in the description. I had bought the 3 pack and use the chicken one often. Didn't try the swamp mix yet. Looks good, Mimsy! God bless!
I have no experience with peanuts, but recently bought a bag of shelled peanuts . Wondering why you can them with shells on ? What would happen if I do the same process with mine having no shells ?? Any ideas ….. please ? Thanks for the vid n Godblesss Patnz
I’m not sure. It’s seemingly a southern thing to have boiled peanuts in the shell. I would suggest maybe roasting your shelled peanuts and then vacuum sealing them in canning jars or bags. You could probably freeze them too. I’ve never thought about it before. I’ll have to do some digging myself! 💚 Thanks for watching!
hi my dear I am your follower from Switzerland I have a question to serve the peanuts you heat it again I was in doubt thank you very much if you answer me❤❤
hi i'm your new subscriber i'm from switzerland i have a question this peanut is freshly plucked. , or is it already dry ?? thank you very much if you answer me❤❤
I'm just here for the bonus video. Please pass the peanuts? ++-Update-++ Kip thinking:. Yeah, but Amish folk don't season like Cajun folk do. Mimsy: "Hang on a minute. I've got this bonus vidya I had mentioned earlier. Why you so impatient???"

This is awesome!!! If you decide they’re not salty or spicey enough when you open them, just warm them and add more of whatever you want. Enjoy!!!

I love boiled peanuts... My Dad use to make them at home, I've never tasted them out of the can though 😋
Theyre good! Just heat them up before eating and it pulls out the flavors!💚

Thank you for this video. Never thought about canning peanuts. May I ask what the point is?
My hubby loves boiled peanuts but I don’t always have time to do them upon request. Also a good prep item for him to have 😉

Do you know how long they last?
They can last a few years as long as they stay sealed
What pounds do you set you pressure cooker at?
For my altitude 10lbs but you need to find out what pressure is needed for your altitude. A search on DuckDuckGo or Google will let ya know!
I'm just here for the bonus video.
Please pass the peanuts?

The bonus was the Cajun part! lol 😂
@@MimsysGarden IEEEeeeeeee!!! ❤️
Did you know how to cook lobsters lobsters and crabs you were saying something about the Cajun for the peanuts that's the reason why I thought of it
No, but the crab boil flavoring is a favorite of some friends that are fabulous Cajun cooks!
howdy 🤠
I never could acquire the taste for boiled peanuts. To me it just ruins them. :)
