Trevor and Tayte are currently assessing six distinct wedges. Among the wedges they'll be evaluating are the Titleist Vokey SM9, TaylorMade Milled Grind 4, Cleveland RTX6, Mizuno T24, Miura K-Grind 2.0, and PXG Sugar Daddy. Each of these clubs offers exceptional qualities, and the ideal choice largely hinges on your individual playing style. Keep in mind that their assessment reflects their personal opinions, and if you have a differing perspective, please don't hesitate to share it with us!
Titleist Vokey SM9 - Our most technologically advanced wedge design is tailored for precise contact, a lower flight, and higher spin. SM9, in my opinion, boasts seven unique grinds to assist players in achieving flawless contact, enabling us to execute a wide range of wedge shots under varying conditions.
TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 - The Milled Grind 4 wedge employs laser-etched Spin Tread and a raw face for enhanced grip on the greens and exceptional spin performance, especially in damp conditions. The refined design not only delivers a sleek and artistic appearance but also encourages a sense of ingenuity around the greens. Additionally, the improved weight distribution ensures a solid and consistent feel, making it a top choice for players.
Cleveland RTX6 - the new RTX 6 ZipCore Wedges to unleash the highest level of spin performance all over the golf course, from the fairway to the rough, bunkers, and even in wet conditions.
Mizuno T24 - Crafted through Grain Flow Forging in Hiroshima, Japan, the focus is on achieving exact shaping and an unparalleled finesse around the green. These wedges now feature QUADCUT+ grooves for enhanced spin, accompanied by a selection of five distinct sole profiles.
Miura K-grind 2.0 - The K-Grind is designed to produce better results from a variety of conditions. The sole is fluted which bears a striking resemblance to finger tip impressions. These channels reduce the resistance against the wedge in sand, thick rough and fairways, delivering great contact and better results
PXG Sugar Daddy - PXG 0311 Sugar Daddy II Wedges are artfully engineered for optimal bounce, insane accuracy, and fine-tuned stopping power. These wedges are 100% milled and feature Full Face Grooves, High Toe Weighting and two innovative sole designs so you can elevate your short game and lower your score.

The best new wedges out are the Tour Edge Wingman. These wedges are amazing. I an 81 and add these wedges last week, shot 72 Saturday !
I f’n love you guys. I feel like we can throw back beers and talk specs all day.
Thanks Philip! We appreciate that, and your support! We should make it happen sometime 🙌
Tall guy in the puma is bit lippy with his partner lol “can I finish” 😂
Lol, he doesn't like when I interrupt him. 😂
great review guys!
Thanks so much Mike 💚
Great video guys!
Thanks Alan, we appreciate it
Great video guys! I play the Mizuno currently, had the rtx in the bag a couple of years ago. Cleveland makes some legit wedges! The mizzy imo blends very nicely with my 921 forged irons. Keep it rolling guys, enjoying the content!
Thanks for sharing Johnny 👍
I ordered some Protoconcept wedges, looking forward to those..
Nice vid and always good to see that you're properly representing the average golfer! 👍
Awesome! Thank you for the support. You’ll have to let us know what you think of them 👌
Had the Zipcores and went to Vokey. Everything is personal feel. Love how I can feel everything with the wedge. Don't need it to be so soft like my irons. I can feel exactly what the ball is doing with the Vokeys.
That is a good point! Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
I’m really liking the Cleveland CBX Zipcore wedges.
I also have the Cleveland RTX6 Zipcore wedges and I switch back and forth.
You honestly cant go wrong with Cleveland! Thanks for sharing 🙌🏼
Nice comparison video. I'm currently playing the PXG Sugar Daddy II wedges and like them. Used to play Pokeys. I'm thinking of changing so I appreciate your testing the wedges. Happy to subscribe.
Thank you very much for the support 🙏🏼
I ended up getting the Ping S159. The spin when playing out of wet grass was unbelievable. Combined with the Bridgestone Tour B RXS and my save percentage increased by 11%.
Another great content as usual. Best part is I just had a wedge fitting and had to choose between the RTX 6 and MG4, ended up going with the Cleveland (once funds saved) mostly cause I liked the feel a little better with them over MG4. Since I also work at keeping my clubs looking clean and nice as possible and with the raw face I will always look down and see what would appear to be a dirty wore out club.
My rank would be pretty much the same as that was almost the same as my fitting minus the Miura which was not available to test.
Great feedback and good point on the raw face. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
nice review. I have SM8s in the bag. used to have older zipcor model. The zipcor was an amazing wedge. I just found a great deal on the SM8s. Also don't knock the chipper before you try it lol. Its magical on the course. I don't use it often but I really should
That is very true! Gotta get in there and test them yourselves. Thanks for watching Vincent 🙌🏼
46, 50, 54, 58, and 64 Cleveland Rtx 4. The turf interaction is awesome
I like it! Thanks for sharing 👍
Love the review guys, entertaining and informative... Ps I know what you mean about the TM milled grind on fullshots feels amazing! I'm in a battle right now trying to figure out my wedges been a Hi Toe guy for years...
Thanks for watching! And for the support
Great vid. The guy in the Puma trackie is a bit Kenny Powers :)
Had SM9s for the last few years. Enjoyed them but then I tried the Zipcores recently... They are gorgeous. Went straight into the bag and haven't looked back
They are phenomenal wedges! 🔥
The full face grooves are pretty neat on the PXG’s. Gonna have to test them out. Looks like we got a game this week guys!!!…… I live just outside of Pittsburgh. Have to be honest, we bleed black and gold but was a huge fan of number 4 growing up. Should be a good game!
Love the Brett Favre support 🙌🏼 Pittsburg took this one. The pack have some things they gotta get figured out.
Mizuno S23 are my favorites and imo the best wedge on the market currently
Those are super popular! Thanks for watching 🙌
RTX 6 is soooo good, love those wedges.
Yeah they are! Thanks for watching 👍
Vokeys-It’s #1 on tour and it’s not even relatively close! But I’m a Mizuno s23 guy! All day!
Very true. Thanks for the feedback 👌🏻
I love the RTX6!! ❤
Me too!
Although its not brand new, the ping glide 4.0 is great. Highest spin when wet as well. Its being discounted huge right now. Is the glide 5.0 coming?
You may be on to something. That is probably why it is being discounted so much. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
"Now here's what I will say about it...."
"K"
Cuts to next product 😂
Thanks for watching Ben 👍
@@embersgolf I really want to know what you have to say about it. Genuinely
Great information, you should review the Edison wedges though...
Great idea! We'll see what we can do to get some in the studio 👍
For me Vokey wedges are great 50 yards in, but beyond that not so good. But I have the "Wedge flex shaft" maybe if I had same shaft as my 4-GW irons I would have more control? (A lot of options)🙄
Great feedback! I think you pretty spot on there. Thanks for the support and for watching 👍
Just switched from Vokey to Cleveland this year. Seems slightly heavier and easier to feel where the club head is and more forgiving. I nearly bought the Taylormade M3 but RTX6 edged it out. Maybe the M4 would have been better.
Never got on with Cleveland personally
It may have been, but honestly you can’t go wrong with Cleveland wedges
I hit the tm4, rtx6, and vokey at my fitting and all the same degree and all my best shots spun 9100, i couldnt get any higher
Where did you guys get that club organizer in the vessel bag?
We sell them 👍 but they only fit the Lux XV 2.0. We have them in stock currently 👌
Have you guys hit the new Kirkland gen 2 ? They definitely couldn’t be #1 simply because there not customizable however for the price they feel and look great
We have them in the studio! Should be happening soon, stay tuned 👌
Grindworksss!!
We need to get some to test out! Good idea
hi guys just wondering if you tested the Bettinardi 5,0 i no they are more expensive and wondering if they have this next level feel that stands out from the rest the price of them are up there
We have not... Yet... We may have a shipment on the way to us as we speak so stay tuned! 🎉
Not yet but we have some coming in
The right wedges in ur bag is MASSIVE
I don’t get it. Thanks for watching
@embersgolf having the right wedges is helpful in your scoring process lol
what abut the miura???
Its a great wedge thats for sure!
How do you guys decide on the top 6? No Ping or Callaway wedges makes this test invalid.
We chose them based on our opinion after testing and playing with each brand. Thanks for watching
Feel is more important with a club performance differences are so small it really doesn't mean anything
Very good point! Feel is crucial
You guys are sleeping on the cavity back wedges. Most amateurs should benefit from them. Especially on full swings.
i love my s23 mizuno wedges
You may be on to something there Rob! Great point 🙌🏼
You think the PXG sugar daddy wedges are worth the extra cost compared to their standard wedges?
The Sugar Daddy wedges are worth it just from my wedge fitting. They felt really nice and smooth. They just were not the best fit for me
I agree, they are definitely worth it. But I would go in a try and get fit for them if you have the opportunity. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
mizuno s23???????????
They are a great wedge that is for sure!
JP wedges 1400$ 😳
Thanks for watching
Sorry guys but not the best comparison. Seems like this video should be called best feeling wedge. Ball flight, workability, forgiveness, spin, distance, value, turf interaction, etc. This should be a better measure. Even the “winner” you said was because of the zipcore in wet conditions and the “technology” of full face even though you admitted it didn’t come in full face grooves. You didn’t hit any of the other wedges in wet condition. Why did it win again? 🤷♂️
We have another full video testing the wet condition wedges that preceded this test so we already knew the Zipcore won that. The full face wedges with that tech may not be here yet… 🤫
These are all phenomenal wedges but will vary greatly depending on who is holding them. Sorry we didn’t make it more clear. We appreciate the watch and the comment Jamiem
Literally just put s a few coats of ceramic coating on any clb, and you'll have that same zipcore tech on your clubs lol
No way are you 7 & 14 handicaps more like 27
Thanks for your feedback!
Can you stop talking over your friend please
Lol, sorry. We will stop that. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
What no Ping S159 (Why) Dickey UK
Not on this one, they are great wedges though. We dont have great access to Ping so it is hard to get our hands on there product to demo.
