      Hi Hannah! I like all the patterns but the easiest to set up for me (and carry around) is butterfly with a shoot through brolly...works for portraits men and women! ☺️

    When you give time to freely provide your expertise I struggle to understand why anyone would give it a thumbs down; sad. Really interesting but may have to watch it a couple of times for it to sink in. Thank you.

    hi hannah love the video did you ever use any flash with this Portrait? or only light source?

    • @HannahCouzensPhotography
      @HannahCouzensPhotography  3 года назад +1

      Hi Ron! I used the Profoto B10 for the whole tutorial. I'm using the modeling light to see the pattern before I take the shot using the flash.

    Beautiful tutorial. A friend have an A2 portrait photo hang in their wall. The shot was almost the same as yours. When using the reflector under the chin it create 2 catchlight in the eye @ 5:40. It''s a bit weird to look. How would you work around it avoiding to avoid 2 catchlight.

    • @HannahCouzensPhotography
      @HannahCouzensPhotography  Год назад

      Hi there, catchlights are personal taste of course but if you find the silver distracting then you can always use white instead. If you really don't like additional catchlights other than the key then you can always use a much larger source as a fill or bounce it onto a much larger surface area so it is barely noticeable. This requires an extra light of course so the idea behind the tutorial was to give people solutions based on minimal kit :)

      @@goranolsson914 It depends on what you like to shoot and if you want/need fullframe. The a6000 series would be great options if the a7 series is too much for the budget =]
