Amazing manipulation of lights & models creating simple, but dynamic shots. This guy, the photographer, Jay P Morgan evidences what a Master Artist can pull out of the Magician's Hat! 😎😎
Oh man - this is just what I needed. I have my first clients in just over a week and I have a really good like (the Bowens GM 750 Pro) but I only have one of them. I'm a bit nervous about it and I've had all the usual "we are not very photogenic" comments at the pre-shoot consultation. So this is just what I needed to get me 4 or 5 keepers. Many thanks for this advice.
I find my biggest challenge when lighting a couple is keeping them from casting shadows on each other. I find the best moments happen organically, when they're allowed to move freely and play with each other, but as they move they often tend to throw off the Light. So difficult.
Amazing video, I had the single person lighting patterns down flat but doing it as a couple adds a new level of complexity to my thought process, back to the drawing board.
@@TheSlantedLens Outside OMG! but the same rules apply but outside is a hostile environment, clouds moving in and out, finding good light, do you include the background or blur it ect...
Uncomfortable?! She couldn't keep her hands off him! And did you see where he popped his hips when JP asked them to get closer together? He went on ahead and rested his hand onto her hips too. These two definitely aren't uncomfortable with each other.
Got a great idea for the next Laws of Light video? Post it down below!

@@gregorysargeant6305 Definitely a lot more variables to consider when it comes to getting the proper lighting!
Great ideas if the couples are close to the same height. What are your suggestions for a 6 foot guy and a 5 foot woman?
Really helpfull video and the final pose is great lol.

What non large soft box do you recommend, and would you recommend I buy 1 or 2?
awesome! what if three person overlap groupshot how would you light it up?
Good question, we will make one on group shoots hopefully in the future!

Could i shoot couples on a 5x7 backdrop?
That is pretty small for couples, unless you put it horizontal for headshots.
Boy, David really sure is looking down a lot 😏
Hope you learned some good pointers!
What’s butterfly please? 🙁🙁
The butterfly light is explained in our 1st video on portrait lighting: ruclips.net/video/D_O6pbT7Ovw/видео.html

Thank you and thanks for watching!
Definitely a great video on portrait lighting, however, the models are quite stiff and lack warmth, especially David.
Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
😄👍
Glad you found it helpful!
She's hot ..
Yes they are both very attractive people. Thanks
They look really uncomfortable together lol great video
Unfortunately, the couple we had scheduled couldn't make it last minute.
Uncomfortable?!
She couldn't keep her hands off him! And did you see where he popped his hips when JP asked them to get closer together? He went on ahead and rested his hand onto her hips too.
These two definitely aren't uncomfortable with each other.
Looks like you're mad at her at 4:23
Pictures not attractive altogether even though with different types of lighting
What did you find unattractive about them?
Maybe because of expression I guess?
Ahhh! Don't touch models
