Trudeau made such a big deal about the "rule of law " when Meng Wenzhou was arrested . Saying, political interference isn't tolerated in Canada, we are a country of rule of law .
My friends in China are following this story closely and, for them, this story completely destroys any claim that the Meng/Huawei case is free of political interference and that the 'rule of law' mantra is a lie. Most of them under 30 are fluent in English and very interested in global affairs. Canada is looking very bad.
Just imagine all the money Canadians will save if we kick that punk out, Billions will be saved...
Yes, and billions more when the pipe lines go through and all the off shoot jobs!
Enough money too ship the third world back too the third world, hooray!!!!!
Jody Wilson Raybould you need to stand your ground! Girl, we need you to be honest on behalf of twenty million fellow Canadians!
When the Liberal party gets voted out where will you be? You said we have to speak truth to the power. Either live by your words or die by them.
she's is a liberal .. no way she will ever do that
Trudeau's response to reporters questions reminds me of Bill Clinton saying "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"
Playing with words.
Or I don't remember any unpleasantness in the Kootenay's with that female reporter.....
Hahahhaa so true
At least we know Trudeau will not have a second term as PM.
Corruption corruption
Even Craig Oliver is bashing the Liberals thats a sign.
Indeed.
Time for a No Confidence vote
Atleast this channel enabled comments
It was an indirect order by the pm or pho office. So the question is WHO DID THE PM /PMO USE TO RELAY THE DIRECTIVE AND TAK BACK HER REPONSE. Get that answered.
Rule of law. Does not apply to our dictator or corporations or illegal immigrants.
Just old stock Canadians.
she's scared of trudeau shes needs to tell the truth and free herself from this
She is not scared. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned. I hope she does talk and I hope Trudeau and gang get kicked out.
DENY DENY DENY... right out of the ALINSKY CLINTON mafia playbook
He needs to be in prison!
True but will never happen
So should Dalton McGuinty, the former Ontario Liberal leader.
You are a Liberal supporter. I am not.
@@carolweideman1905 Regardless of whether or not someone is a "Liberal supporter" (having any unwavering loyalty towards a political party is rather simply stupid and narrow-minded) everyone must agree that transparency and ethical integrity are integral to making democracy work for everyone. Unfortunately these cronies clearly aren't operating in the best interest of all Canadians and would rather pander to their rich friends and donors. There was this, Bombardier, Air Canada, the Paradise Papers. The Conservatives aren't much better but this Liberal government has taken it to new heights.
now where are the feminists when most needed?
It’s a shame that politicians in Canada are rarely held accountable for their criminal actions. Trudope would have been in jail by now if he were a common citizen.
Even out of office members of the political elite, get a free pass, by other politicians. Like a Mulroney receiving $225,000 cash in an envelope, not reporting it in his taxes, then being able voluntary declaration which the CRA would never allow for an average Canadian. SInce the cash payment was already out in the media, and they would ordinarily have already started an investigation, negating the voluntary declaration process. He also sues the Canadian government for $2.1 million and cost tax payers further $16 million. Welcome to the world of politicians.
Lock him up!
Why don't they ask Trudeau why he appointed a Somalian immigrant as our"minister of immigration and citizenship "?
I think the answer is obvious.
You realize that ‘-gate’ was in the name of the hotel, right? It is not a modifier to be haphazardly slapped onto any proper noun.
I will say that if heads could literally roll, that would be awesome.
We need to keep our eyes on the prize. Does S.N.C. still get this special treatment under the new Attorney General. So folks tighten those seat belts I predict severe Turbulence.
PPC!
This certainly brings awareness to the necessity of unbiased investigative journalism in preserving democracy. Well done.
Trudeau Must Go! PPC 2019 Make Canada Great Again!
"Thumb on the scales of justice . . . . . . " good one, Craig. Right to the heart.
You forgot Climate Gate
there is no rule of law. Ever been to court? representing your self? It's a show, your strawman is in court not the man or women. Courts are corporations too. All $$ Everything is contracts between corporations. Research retired judge Dale.
The narrative seems to be heading towards the need to protect jobs for this huge (albeit corrupt) corporation. This train of thought might appeal to the public "cutting them some slack" for the applied pressure. Really? What if the executives committed murder? Would that justify the pressure to not charge? What offence would allow them to be let "off the hook".
Keep investigate and get to the bottom of the scandal.
Four weeks have gone by and this programme is still fully relevant.
It may turn out that no pressure was put on the AG but the point is that the subject should NEVER have been brought up. It is perceived as interference in the justice system.
Mulcair should be PM. What a missed opportunity!
Na na na, hey hey hey Goodbye Trudope and Butts
In the world of large engineering companies, Lavalin has long been suspected of buying projects. I could give one example of this but could never prove it.
"GATEWORTHY" what's that mean? Nothing will happen to the Turd and Canadians are still stuck with this stooge in power?
You guys are going to kiss your piece of $595 million good-bye!
Good to see you actually doing some reporting for a change though...
Section. 119,120,121???? Guilty as charged. 5-14yrs. Go to the SUPER MAX!!!!!!
The ex justice minister should cross the floor then comment.
The RCMP should be called in
MAD MAX and the PPC 2019
So The Globe & Mail is not in Trudeaus back pocket? They have my respect if that's the case.
Only in Canada is calling something "false" considered strong language.
What will it take to have Trudeau step down?
Let her go. And let J.Trudeau do his job. Trudeau should get out to fight.
Make no mistake ...it’s the rule of Liberal law which is set by their own standards.
When you quit we fully expect an exit letter.
Would be sweet if the crossed the flour and spilled the beans. Trudeau would be done
Trudeau has got to go!
UPDATE: shes resigned her postion in the cabinet. Not her seat Vancouver/Granville, which is good.
Why do I think the thumbs down on this video is being censored!!!
Corporations are not going to run this country. The time for serving up word salad is over.
It's funny to watch Canada slowly realize that money can allow you to break laws in Canada and Trudeau is proving it himself. Sorry to break it to you guys, but you can beat pretty much any charge if you are a millionaire now a days. It's also not just Canada either. Welcome to the justice businesses. It's very profitable at that.
Does this mean we might get ride of our clown Pm ?
My friend is a prison guard and he can't wait for the day to take a selfie with Trudeau at work.
Tom Mulcair should have been PM. What a massive mistake. I wish he hadn't gone out of character during the champaign and just stayed the 'angry Tom' the country already liked. Canada wanted a fighter to punch Harper down... Mulcair played nice... while Trudeau... in his way... went out swinging and snapping like a yappy dog at Harper. It worked.
If someone sees Scott Simms ask him to please stand up.
A prime minister can exert pressure without actually directing it. What? Are we dealing with idiots here? All they're doing is playing games with words, as usual.
Huawei is also the same. It is politically motivated.
And, yes, I, a voter, am angry at the way the Liberals do politics.
Its seems strange that the majority party is able to choose of they want an investigation. Shouldnt there be a bipartisan panel that can trigger an investigation.
Obviously the Globe and Mail
must have some info on this!!
Courageous One yes they are letting Trudeau sweat a bit then drop the bomb
Watch for it
Jody should be scared. So should Justin.
Why won’t she come out and say something
Watergate was the name of the hotel they broke into. This guy comments on politics for a living?
Mulcair is smirking. Can't blame him, I guess.
*Update:*
_Jody Wilson-Raybould has resigned from Cabinet._
There probably is not any client solicitor privilege as Ms Wilson-Raybould is not acting as a solicitor and trudeau is not a client. She is a minister and she works for the government. She should be able to say what ever she needs to say that is in the best interest of the country and its constitution.
Back in the day Wilson Raybould would immediately fall on her sword.End of story.
Gerald Butts is the de facto Prime Minister of Canada.
an off-topic, I took a glance from the woman guest and for a sec thought this is a clip from 50's LOLL
Jody Wilson-Raybould for prime minister.
the Montreal mob has hands in SNC Lavelin
Seldom see a Globe and Mail in Tim Horton's anymore. Actually miss their crossword.
It's just a game to these guys. There's no consequences for there actions.
She can't say anything because of laws of confidentially between her and the Gov. If she spilled the beans She would be fined, disbarred and probably given jail time. Golly Gee, I wonder why she's silent.
Hey Gerry Butts, if you want to get Evan to stop asking uncomfortable questions, buy a couple paintings from him and this whole thing will be forgotten.
and.......................... miss Raybould conveniently resigns..... imagine that
This is MSN, we're only get 1/2 the truth here.
What's this I heard about Sheer chatting with the CEO of SNC?
Does it matter? Conservatives arent in power and liberals are the house majority. Did he meet with them no one knows. Sheer doesnt have power to get them off the hook so why would they meet?
@@jordanturner5278 he did meet with them. There is an article in the Toronto Star about it. Stop trying to protect one over the other because of your political affiliation. Sheer and the Conservatives are also looking to give SNC-LAVALIN a way out. Neither of these parties support every day Canadians. Otherwise they would wipe student loan debt.

Lol. Trying to divert? Try harder. It’s only a matter of time.
@@dylanm3519 oh a socialist. I see why your defending trudope. Unfortunately the social utopia you dream if cannot exist. Governments are to corrupt. Again schneer is not the criminister soooooo
@@dylanm3519 Don't panic sport Trudeau might just cancel student loans to buy your vote. I mean what the hell you are trying hard to be one of the "elites" so you deserve special consideration.
I am not a fan of the NDP, but watching Mulcair express his well thought out views on complicated current events must be hard to watch, given their current leader.
Hmmm I wonder how much of sock boy's financial portfolio is invested in SNC- Lavalin
The attorney-client privilege protects most communications between clients and their lawyers. But, according to the crime-fraud exception to the privilege, a client's communication to his / her attorney isn't privileged if he / she made it with the intention of committing or covering up a crime or fraud.
So if this is all true is there anything that can be done legally or is this just a regime change again?
I can walk through my life with a clear conscience, unlike the scum that rule us.
SNC-Lavalingate
Can't beleive he is putting blame on Jody. Maybe he has women in his cabinet because he thinks he can order them to do anything. Manipulation is a slow moving machine, I think she got out at the right time.
huawei paid her off to create this "pressuring" story
At what point did honor go down the shitter
Politics aside, bribery in Africa (along with most of the rest of the world) is just the way business is conducted. I was surprised to hear that was what all the fuss was about when all this came up.
On Monday, August 27, 2018, 2:02 PM following email was received from the Prime Minister's Office. Did the Prime Minister's Office instruct Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada to Ignore the criminal acts committed by the Supreme Court of Canada Judges to willfully deny justice to the Hirjis and Violating their Constitutional and Charter rights?
Dear Mr. Hirji:
On behalf of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, I would like to acknowledge receipt of your correspondence.
Please be assured that your comments have been carefully reviewed. In your correspondence, you raise an issue that falls more directly within the portfolio of the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada. Great so called Journalism - ‘Water gate’ was not water + gate but named after the ‘Watergate hotel’
Just wait , he will try .to blame it all on Harper and then break down in tears because he's missing the local pride meeting because of all the nasty questions .
If these news reports began by referencing "The Family Compact" of Quebec and Ontario, and who they are,
all of this would play into that history, going back to Prime Ministers Pierre Trudeau and Brian Mulroney.
Canadians are guilty of naivity
Craig Oliver looks like he's about to have a stroke.

Non-confidence vote?
bye bye Trudeau
I wonder if justine will answer ANY questions regarding this corruption or will he be forced by law to answer.....if justine says it’s all false then of course it’s false because justine doesn’t lie
Justin Castro will come out clean and will get reelected just watch
Justin Beiber Trudeau should join the Cirque de Soleil for his capacity to trip acrobatically over his own feet like no other.
