Find an old junk tank somewhere and fill it with dirty water from somewhere. Find an little trailer and some PVC pipe with a shit off valve. Take a drill to the pipe and Wala, water truck for your track
Years ago, I worked IN hobby shops, did everything on the offroad side of track maintenance, ran the races, & raced (when I had time & energy). Having a track + working a hobby shop, is a 28 hr day, 370 days a yr job. But all u hear is: 'well u work here! U can practice all the time!'🤪🤷♂️🤯
I agree with the others you should water the track. . I was going to mention that a while ago but forgot. Since it rains hard when it does you could set up a gray water collection system and use that. Get some big plastic barrels or something. And use a back pack sprayer. Or you could hook up a water pump to it and hose. It would not take long to do and you could do it between races.
Hi Joe I have the same 5690 with max6 g2 with 46 32 gears and not having heat problems in southern ca. I think you might have bad solder connections causing You're heat problems
Joe, the stock servo will take 7.4 im running mine at 7.4 since it came out and changed the esc to a max6 with no issues, even on traxxas receiver. Also to help with temp, u can try and get some thing thermal pads and put them between the motor and heatsink. I saw temp drops of about 4/5 degrees after running full packs. Not a lot but helped not getting thermal shut down.
I've been a Traxxis fan for a long time. I'm not sure if they had just come along or what, but in the early/mid 90's I saw a really cool truck in one of my fathers tower hobbies magazines, from a company neither of us ever heard of before, and I begged him for it. I got it for Christmas, the Traxxis Stampede. It was pretty darn fast for the time, with it's 20turn motor (that was a big selling point if I remember right), but those front wheels sure liked hopping around and the thing had long throw suspension (for the time) but it that was terrible! haha I loved it, but it was kind of a piece of crap. You could see many things they learned from that model getting fixed in later releases, like the T-Maxx. Then they re-released the Stampede which I never bothered getting or even researching, but I'm sure they made a TON of improvements. They must have done a complete redesign I'm sure. There's no way they would release that same old POS after the success of the T/E-Maxx, it would just taint their rep. Now Traxxis is one of the best known brands and it's known for being great at the things that were wrong with my Stampede. Interesting how it all worked out.
Hi, I watch a lot of your content and I was wondering, could you please help me? I went and bought an XRT ultimate and I want to change the gears up, but I don't want to do it to over heats. What would be the best gearing mod to speed it up with torque It's not overheated.
Hi Joe. I have a problem with my max6 g2 stock fan. As soon as i turn on the esc the fan starts but turns off after a couple of beeps from the esc. I have no idea what's wrong with it 😂
So you have any issues stripping out the spider gears inside the center diff with this motor? Maybe i should turn the brake and punxh settings down? I bought a new diff assembled by traxxas and atill have the issues
why don't you get a hose and water the track down with a sprinkler or something? you live in Florida and have water everywhere maybe try a shallow well pump they are stupid easy to install and dirt cheap to run .....
Sand always looks awesome flying up behind the cars ❤

You gonna have to get a warter truck for the track
Install a sprinkle system setup. Works perfectly for Clay tracks
Time to get the garden hose out 😢

These are crazy strong. You have to land correctly or you will shock load the system and poof, gears turn to mud.
Great video!!!!
