Hi, Thanks for the info! I turned my computer monitor off and on, and temporarily the Pink was Gone but it came back on. Then I tried screwing the screws a little tighter to the cable to the monitor and the Pink is Gone! Yes , the cables and connections may be the fix needed. Thanks again!
I have this problem, too... and discovered that the REMOTE appears to cause the problem. (i have an older Sony.) As long as I use the TV REMOTE to turn the tv on and off, my screen is fine. When I use the Cox cable remote, the screen pinks out every time. Plugging the HDMI cable in and out solves the problem, but so does using the TV remote.
Had to unplug the cable box and plugin back in to get mine to work. Unplugging and plugin back into the HDMI port did nothing. It's caused by your cable box (or device) overheating. Don't set other devices like a PS4 or other gaming system or anything on the cable box or near a heat source. If there is nothing on the cable box then the cooling fan could be out or building up with dust and not working well... especially if you clear it temporarily and then it does it again (like you mentioned).

disconnecting the power chord from the cable box waiting ten seconds then starting it back up worked perfectly for me everybody i recommend trying that first of all and make sure the hdmi cable is connected properly on both ends

My TV is doing this with my Chromecast whenever I turn the tv off and on again. I have found that if I change the source input, (eg from HDMI to AV, then back to HDMI) from my remote, this fixes it with no need to go scrabbling round the back of the tv!

Shit myself.....just booted Far Cry 5 on my PS4 Pro and all white went pink. Turned PS4 off and back on....fine. Thought I'd been playing too much Rage 2 and burnt pink into the display lol.

Nothing works for my Samsung smart TV, tried different steaming box, different HDMI cable, different HDMI port, reset the TV, all to no avail -- nothing fixes it. It only impacts shades of grey, which become shades of lavender/purple. Whites, blacks, other colors and skin tone is still perfect.

Settings>General>System Manager>Usage Mode>Home Mode Then: Settings>General>External Device Manager>HDMI UHD Color>turn on for HDMI1. Then: Settings>General>System Manager>Usage Mode>Retail Mode. You switch it to Home Mode first so that the UHD color setting that you're about to toggle stays on. Something about retail mode sets the settings back to default after a set amount of time; but if you set the setting while it's in home mode, it stays put. I received these instructions from Project Team after they set our display. We had one TV turn pink, used this to fix it, and haven't had an issue since.
My Roku is stuck in recovery mode and it's a purple screen how do I get out of it? I don't even have a dollar to my name to ask a professional. Well for me it did not work straight away. Am using Fire stick with HDMI on Vizio 65" - 2017 model. What I tried alternatively was, unplugged the Fire Stick, removed the power supply to it, waited for 30 seconds and then set it back in the order of power supply -> HDMI link to TV. It worked. 😁😁
Just bought a 4 k Samsung smart TV. After about 20 days of usage my screen turned pink. It is not the TV or the HDMI that is causing the issue. It is the receiver from Direct TV not being compatible with the new technology of the 4K. You will likely need to contact Direct TV and arrange for a new receiver box that is compatible with the 4K. When watching Netflix or Amazon Prime I didn't have an issue with the pink screen, only when I switched back to the direct TV programing. The direct Tv box/receivers are not designed to work well with the new 4k so an upgrade will be necessary. Turning the tv off and on or unplugging the HDMI is a temporary fix. The pink screen comes back, so the fix is a new box. I hope this helps someone.
on a pink screen just go to input on the remote and switch to a diferent input hit enter it will say no signal. input back to your hdmi setting and it will be fixed
Yes l tried all you said and nothing worked. Then discovered l must have turned off with the tv with Sky remote control instead of the TV remote control. Yeay but thanks anyway.
This did not work. I even changed the hdmi cable, but I think my tv problem is different because my screen turns pink randomly and it temporarily fixes it for like a minute or two when i change the hdmi. And sometimes when I turn on the tv the screen doesn't turn on at all, or sometimes it does but then it goes black again. I really hope I can find out how to fix it cause I just wanna watch Family guy while I eat my breakfast😢

I don’t have either of those but my Roku did the same thing. Funny thing now I don’t have the issue at all year later.

Do a Firmware update. I've seen that fix issues when hooking up a TV to a newer device.

I had the same problem. HDMI didn't do it. Unplugged electric wiring at the cable box. Plugged back in and it seemed to reset.

According to www.avsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1515325 it is an HDMI handshake problem and turning HDMI CEC off fixes it for good.

Probably similar issue. I believe it’s the HDMI board issue on the TV.

That seems odd but I guess it’s possible it was a bent cable that when changing power cable it was knocked into place.

Went to BELL remote menu ,HDM settings and changed from 720 back to 1080 and it worked. Somehow the TV got on the wrong resolution.
