I was pretty sure you were going to say, "You get what you pay for and these are crap." That's pretty cool that they worked okay. Didn't sound amazing, but they didn't sound terrible. It would be fine for just practicing, jamming or putting on a kit to sell. (I would definitely recommend them for that house kit I played on a couple weeks ago that had absolutely worn out, out-of-tune heads.)

Wish I could've known these in the 70's and 80's. But on this video the first thing I noticed was how perfectly matched your cymbals were. They matched perfectly with all 3 genres of the music you played. Not even bad drums and/or drum heads make a set sound worse than wrong cymbals. You know your stuff and even at my old ass age (67) I can learn from you. Well done!

Thank you for another amazing video! I will just add that I didn't hear the word terephthalate since the early 90' when we were no longer socialistic country and we were finally able to buy more products that were made in western countrys. That time I fisrt time read about what our - Czech ( made by brand called Amati ) drumheads were made out of.. And I never heard the word again, until now.. but also, I never forgot it.. 😁😁 I can't speak about the sound or quality, I was only a teen and it's a long ago. I only remember that there were coated for snares, clear ones as reso heads ( very thin ones ) and what is now Remo White Smooth were basically the only head in production for rack and floor toms.

If you only had one kit, and didn't want to ruin your expensive heads this would be an amazing option. Leave these heads on the kit for practice. They don't sound perfect, but well enough. And then just take them off and put your professional heads on for performances.
That way, you can have nice heads, but they'll be rotated out with the practice heads and you won't need replacing nearly as often so you actually save a mint over time.
