After the time of filming, the deck has won 9 of 10 games against mixed pods. Hence the 90% win rate. I'm sure the win rate would be less over time, but it's record so far has been VERY impressive which inspired me to get this video out ASAP. I hope everyone enjoys! Cheers, and happy Friday. :)

It is only because of the taboo of playing land destruction in casual. It is a community issue. Unless mass land removal/hate becomes common as mass atrifact and enchantment removal, this deck will always dominate.

Considering all the broken lands comming in modern horizons 3, land matters decks will dominate. I am hoping this shift will normalize mass land destruction in casual commander.

Karametra was my first Commander deck aswell back in 2014. I deliberately chose her to stay clear of my usual Magic tendencies at the time (I loved control and combo decks in 60 card-formats and played mostly Modern). Didn't play any mana dorks because I was foolishly too afraid of board wipes, but even with just running cards like Wood Elves, the deck still packed a crazy punch as a landfall value engine.

I've been running karametra since shortly after it was printed. It was my first commander deck and has been through many updates. I recently added kodama but had been joking asked to not run the deck any more even before that.
I do run a heavy ramp package including every single mana dork that produces green or white. I run 98 permanents with primal surge and genesis wave being the only non permanent spells.
The deck wins in many different ways even though I'm typically the target by turn 4.

There is one that taps for colourless and green that I know of and maybe one that taps for colourless and white probably. IIRC you need to bounce an untapped land.

I kind of hate the combo heavy meta. I mean, don't get me wrong, combo decks as an archetype are fine. What I'm not fine with is every single deck today seems to want to do some kind of infinite combo. Sinergy and theme be damned. If a commander dosn't have some kind of broken interaction it's basically discarded by the community it seems. But hey, everyone can play however they want, it's none of my business, but it's not for me.

I was a little skeptical of the high creature count, but I gotta say it’s is a well constructed deck. I’d work in Teferis Protection if it’s not already there, I can’t remember if it’s there or not. Karametra rewarding you for just playing lands is hard to stop once it gets going lol

    Wow good timing.
I re-build my karametra deck 3 days ago, but I did go for the more mana dork route to get more lands into play. Landfall is a sub-sub theme so it's not around that much.
It used to be a selesnya angel tribal deck (Karametra helped getting the fatties out faster, but that was years ago).
Anyway, played one game with it and it stomped hard. Did not need to use any of my tutors either.

being a 5 mana commander, you kind of REALLY want to run ramp that somehow lets you play her on turn 3. Being an indestructible enchantment, she will be super safe to play and you won't have to worry about losing her right away and sitting on a 7 mana commander in the command zone.
But there are actually not a ton of cards, that BY THEMSELVES ramp you to 5 within the first two turns. There's Sol-Ring and other fast mana obviously, but outside of busted stuff like that, options are a bit slim, especially when it comes to creatures (and you want to run a lot of creature) you have Joraga Treespeaker (play turn one. level up turn 2.). Devoted Druid can tap for 2 mana ONCE but that one time is enough. And lastly, not a 100% guarantee but still worth it: Carpet of Flowers but I guess that kind of counts as green fast mana. And that's basically it for cards that can ramp you to 5 by themselves (and 3 lands obviously)
Because that isn't enough, you really want to run 1-mana ramp (birds, elves etc.), preferably creatures for synnergy with Karametra and then just hope you hit two of the ramp pieces. Crop Rotation into Ancient Tomb (or just drawing Ancient Tomb) also counts as ramp. But optimally you just want to have to play only one card as ramp piece instead of two elves simply because it's better to play anything AFTER Karametra hits the battlefield.
I don't run Sakura-Tribe Elder, which feels like a crime because he's basically in every green deck I've ever build but at 2 mana, in this deck, he doesn't help casting Karametra on turn 3. Like, obviously I'm skipping infinite combos here, but I'm not the biggest fan of those.
Now, because I'm running so many small creatures, my deck evolved into this "tiny creatures matter"-machine with Welcoming Vampie, Mentor of the Meek, Skullclamp etc. so a midgame Llanowar Elves doesn't make me unhappy. Also because Karametra is indestructible, I can run a bunch of one-sided "destroy large creatures"-Sweepers like Battle of Bywater (Destroy every creature with power 3 or greater). My tiny army lives, Karametra too, my opponents big stuff gets stuffed. Finish to taste with anything that makes tiny creatures huge for a turn.
In that Deck Dusk // Dawn is pretty good. First you kill everything above power 2 with "Dusk". And at any point, if your board ever got wiped, you can return all creatures with power 2 or less from your graveyard to your hand with dawn. Since you're playing Karametra, you have so much mana that you can play most of it right away anyway (and ramp more in the process).

@@fastydave I think it's a bit sad that you take the time to randomly spread negativity on the internet. Maybe reflect a bit on why you didn't do basically anything else.
You may not realize it, but you're probably unhappy with your life if you're using your time to put others down for talking about something that they're excited about.

Sorry for the multiple comments. What is your experience playing this deck against degenerate blue control players? In my group commanders and decks with CMC over 4 are almost impossible to play because everyone in my group plays blue in some way and the interaction is just insane. I mean it when I say it, if I have a commander that is 5 mana I'm never getting that guy on the field.
