I own a 2022 meteor 350 and as you said i love it as a daily rider. I do use it for small camping trips (within 300 ish miles). I will say you are 100% right about any interstate the bike will not do well. Especially since the interstate near me is 80 mph. So i ride secondary roads 55-65 mph. Even at 65 mph roads you start feeling exposed. Ive had no isses with mine so far. And enjoy camping so far especially when i have to go on gravel or dirt no issue there.
Hi Patrick, welcome to the channel and thanks for the comment. Yes, I’ve seen some real bad accidents from people trying to overtake on highways with not enough power… so it’s definitely a no go for that. When camping, how do you load it up… Saddlebags and luggage rack etc? Does the luggage weight have a significant effect on power?
@@GasolineroMoto good afternoon it's a pleasure to find this channel! Soft saddle bags (80 L total) 10 L tank bag. My meteor came with a backrest on the pillion seat. So, I attached my tent, 35 L dry pack, and wear my day pack (40 L) on my back. So in total that's 165 L of storage. I can actually have more storage but since I'm used to backpacking, I pack on the light side. I haven't noticed a difference in handling either. I didnt notice any issues with power after the break in period. Also most of my equipment is pretty light for backpacking reasons and I mostly ride at 55 mph.
Sounds like the bike is very capable! I shall have to try it for trips like that. Next week I'll be filming on the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Will be interesting to see how different it is to the Meteor. Stay tuned!
Great video, love the RE 350 Meteor, I present ride a Honda CB250RS, but think I am better on something a little more modern for my daily commute when the weather improves.
Great channel mate! I like your review of meteor 350, I owe one myself in UK and often ride with mates on Harleys and Triumphs. Obviously I can't keep up with them on motorways but on back roads this bike is amazing. Also a lot of my mates said this bike is completely different experience from their big v twins but keep asking to take it for a spin and love it. I think it takes you back to this raw biking experience where you don't have much power and electronics at your disposal like back in the 50's!
Welcome to the channel mate! Thanks for tuning in. Totally agree... it's just a fun easy bike and that's exactly what you want it for. Everything outside of motorway riding.. man... this is the one! My will to not buy one breaks by the day.
being from a third world country, this 350 cc bike has been a dream bike for me. it's heartbreaking to have it called "little" every single minute😂😂😂. i can't fathom to comprehend the harley you are talking about😂. i probably won't be able to afford it with 10 years of my life savings😂. nice video though. navigation and commentary is entertaining. keep it up, bro🎉

I bought one, it is a great bike to commute and just cruising around. I have had a Harley fatboy. The Harley was $500 every time I had to maintain it. It was a pain in the wallet to keep it up.
I own a meteor in Stellar Black, its a 5 speed bike and the engine can take somse revs. Its good uphill even with a pillion! Get one you wont be dissapointed. Ive done highway riding even with a pillion but the bike shines on secondary roads. Btw Colombia looks like bikers paradise, cheers mate!
It's a great bike for sure. Though 2UP on the highway must've been a little hairy lol. Medellin in particular really is rider heaven... perfect roads, great weather and lots of freedom. Only issue is wet season and kamikaze drivers. Welcome to the channel! ✌
The Meteor is my first bike, after I got the (bike)-driving licence at the age of 65 😊 just two years ago. So my bike experience is limited. However, I am very happy with it and don't mind longer trips. But I agree, it's hopeless on motorways. Especially here in Germany without speedlimits it can be downright frightning.
Welcome to the channel and congrats on starting your riding journey at 65! Sounds great. There are comments here that also confirm it's good to go for camping trips etc. Those highways in Germany though with this bike are a HELL NO lol. I shall be doing a video on the Royal Enfield Himalayan next week. Stay tuned!
RE bikes are known for very good n blush suspension because they have very harsh roads in india.... those bikes are very comfy. its a very nice Daily i would say.
It IS tiny when you’re accustomed to riding Harleys! I say “tiny” with love and admiration. Great bike. But yeah… I don’t like the mirrors at all. I would definitely change them if I bought it. Thanks for the comment and welcome to the channel 🫡
That would be awesome. I’ve never ridden the Himalayan and will be doing a video with it in a week or so. I hear great things about it. Watch this space!
@@NoFrictionZone yea but it's liquid cooled. There is fan base, myself including, in air-cooled Himalayan, and only downside is that cruising speed isn't 130km/h.
haha! Glad that got noticed parce. I've been living in Colombia for 7 years and Medellin is perfect weather, great people, and great lifestyle. It's the wild west but I love it. Thanks for subscribing and hope you're enjoying Cali! One day I will visit there.
I see everyone's paying close attention to those 30km/h speed limits there just as they do with the 20mph speed limits here in London. What's the theft situation there? I've heard that in London motorbike thefts are so common you just can't insure some bikes, people are having quotes of upwards of £7K and even small bikes, most insurers are demanding a grand for theft cover. I've seen footage of bikers in cities here now being pursued by gangs who are after their bike!
The answer is... no. Yet, the 350 is excellent for small town run abouts. I've moded my 350 about as far as you can go, but there's a speed limiter that can be by passed. Yet, I feel the 350 is not stable enough for 88 mph. Plus, you'll travel back in time if you go faster. 😅
The bike has got thumbs up across the board from hundreds of reviews, unless they were done by people who expected 1200 cc size and performance from a 350 cc motorcycle World sales are bonkers. Making another review at this stage is questionable, unless some unforeseen insight or new feature is being revealed. Riding any motorcycle without proper vented summer protective gear is even more questionable. Dumping any motorcycle no matter how "tiny", has an undesirable effect on skin It's interesting how many reviewers have changed their tune after riding this bike. Mirrors can be changed to bar ends easily. Vibration is not an issue. Performance can be increased with air intake and cat delete mods. People who want a reliable, good looking, fun bike to commute or cruise the secondary roads on cannot make a better choice. PS re. the tripper nav problem may have something to do with your bluetooth version or perhaps a faulty unit. (dealer issue) Cheers.
Yes sir. The bike was much better than I was expecting. And for the price… it can’t be beaten. Plus you might be pleased to know I’ve now purchased a summer riding shirt! Thanks for the comment and welcome to the channel 🫡
Meteor 350 is "upgraded" version of thunderbird 350x which was discontinued and relaunched as meteor 350 but in terms of performance it is no where near to thunderbird. I had a ride on thunderbird and it was probably one of the most comfortable experience. We need 450cc aircooled bike with at least 30hp from RE, that way we will get all goodies from old Himalayan withouth top speed drawback.
Btw, nice mashine you have. Kudos.

I've been checking out reviews on the royal.enfield 350's alot. Many claim the engine takes on a new life after its broken in.
