Kazuya made his debut in the original Tekken in December 1994. I was in my freshman year of high school at the time. The franchise name Tekken means “iron fist” in Japanese. His Classic Mode route is themed after this fact.

How I wished Captain Falcon would represent Paul in the spirit board instead of Ken despite having the same ressemblance between blond and the default red outfit.
Every round in this Classic Mode route plays a music track from the Tekken franchise regardless of what franchise the stage originates from. The stage of Round 1 originates from the Tekken franchise. The stage of Round 2 originates from the F-Zero franchise. The stage of Round 3 originates from the Punch-Out!! franchise. The stage of Round 4 originates from the Xeno franchise. The stage of Round 5 originates from the Pokémon franchise. The stage of Round 6 originates from the Mother franchise. The stage of the Final Round originates from the Fire Emblem franchise.
Round 1 references Street Fighter X Tekken, which was originally developed for PlayStation 3. Round 2 references the Captain Falcon costume in the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Round 3 possibly references that Tekken featured some boxers. Round 4 references Tekken’s use of animal characters such as Kuma, a bear trained by Heihachi. Round 5 references Pokkén Tournament, which was originally developed for Wii U and later ported to Nintendo Switch. Round 6 references the soldiers of G Corporation, a biogenetic company responsible for resurrecting Kazuya in Tekken 4. The Final Round references the final battle of Tekken 7’s story mode, where Heihachi fights Kazuya normally before taking on his devil form in a volcanic area.
Cloud and Sephiroth speak Japanese in Smash due to union issues with their English voice actors. Kazuya speaks Japanese in line with his home franchise Tekken.
The Dragon Quest Heroes did get the same treatment like Cloud and Sephiroth had and Eleven did have an English VA in Dragon Quest XI (who is the same VA did Tora from Xenoblade Chronicles 2) as well that never used in Super Smash Bros. @@DigiPen92 Terry Bogard reused his Japanese voice actor from KoF XIV, which had no English voice acting. If any SNK character or Final Fantasy character appears in Smash, they will speak Japanese. Kazuya Mishima speaks Japanese also to fit his nationality.
A real shame Miis aren't part of Classic Mode. Otherwise, it's clear what Kazuya's final Classic battle should be: Him fighting a regular (or giant) Mii Brawler with Heihachi's outfit (opt: with Super Armor) on the Castle Siege Underground stage with Heat Haze Shadow playing in the background. You all know why I said it like that.
If this Classic Mode route is played with two players, CPUs will have 150 HP instead of 100. In Round 4, Donkey Kong and King K. Rool will have 100 HP instead of 70 HP.

@@schnippelfriedschnappelsac8310 I think that's what it is, it would have been even cooler if the Metal Kazuya had an FS meter, but they never do that for Classic Mode. Kind of reminds me of Round 4 in Sonic's route where you fight 3 Team Sonic colored Kirbies and take the place of Neo Metal Sonic
I agree with u even on Steve’s Classic Mode the last round why wouldn’t we face two Enderman’s with 20hps and after battling with them Ridely suddenly show up 200hps out of no where. instead battling with three fighters why wouldn’t in Classic mode faced separate fighters
SuperBamBamKillar 98 I know they’re trying to relive their own respective series, but low stamina like 150HP or worse yet 100HP are really NOT worth it! And with the exceptions of Steve and Byleth especially, the routes themselves are okay.
