For those wondering why Sephiroth doesn't appear, it's because DLC characters cannot appear in the Classic Mode routes of other DLC characters. It's a technical thing: Not everyone has gotten all DLC characters, so it's impractical to have a DLC character appear in someone else's route if that character wasn't purchased by the player
Plus this clasic mode is more like KH1 story line so sephiroth is opcional boss :p

Then what about facing Sephiroth or other DLC characters online?
You'll encounter them, its their characters that they bought
Sora should’ve at least fought Dharkon or at least the Hands at Hollow Bastion
Sora's Classic Mode Route is cool, that's for sure. But can we just talk about the picture at the end for a moment? He's back where it all began, on the Destiny Islands, with a Paopu Fruit in hand. Absolutely beautiful.

6 could also be a reference to the fight against the Armored Ventus Nightmare in DDD.... sure you didn't play as Sora in that fight... and Ventus has a different fighting style then Sora.
But it was still a fight against a metal covered Sora in the Station of awakening.

This is awesome gameplay, though I'm disappointed that Duck Hunt didn't join Sora in one fight. I know Donald and Goofy can't join to avoid problems with Disney, but you would've think that they would be referenced in some way.

i would not be surprised that the condition of having sora in smash was to minimize as many disney IP references as possible. if you noticed, all the characters represented were created by nomura/square.

1. The pass seems to be HEAVILY KH1 biased.
2. Destati is used in the fight, which is the song used for the tutorial boss
3. It's metal Sora, which is important since before Darkside is summoned Sora's featureless shadow comes out of the ground, which metal could be used in place of that.
@@yumekua2863 I would have loved an Organization XIII reference lol. But I COULD see it maybe? The stage could be a reference to Where Nothing Gather's. But I'm assuming it's meant to represent the cathedral from KH1's Hollow Bastion. Hence the song choice.
Sora seemed to do pretty well against Master Hand and Crazy Hand, so I'm eager to see how good he'll do against all the other bosses because Sora has fought against enemies FAR worse than Galeem and Darkhon back in the day!
How good he will do? Its a Video game. How good he will do depends on the player. He may defeat them without taking a single ore in my case relise on the Celebi spirite to keep him alive.
The gummi ship music during the end credits is too perfect.

I’m honestly a little disappointed that there wasn’t a Sephiroth battle also I was really hoping for a Sora and Duck Hunt team up during one of these battles but I’m still really hyped he’s finally in the game
Honestly sora cm is kinda boring if dh was a team then it would ha been a better one and I like the ganon and steel sora fights the two start battles where boring the dark link yink and tink are overused fighter is cm
No Sora battle alone on vs Sephiroth and Yozora is a one vs one battle no help. Only the lingering will aka Terra was only help how challenge he can be.
DLC characters don’t appear in classic mode unless its a ditto. (Like Terry fighting himself)

Well you can play multiplayer in Classic mode
One player uses Sora, the other Duck hunt
Some missed opportunities imo. I feel like a "riku" fight on that animal crossing beach stage would've made a cool first fight. And maybe a horde battle with 13 Robin's since they've got gray hair, idk. Also like everyone has been saying, duck hunt at some point would've been cool

Considering that Sora is the final character in Ultimate, that is one of the toughest classic mode for completing at 9.9 so I can officially say that I also finished up to 9.9 with all DLC fighters from Piranha Plant to Sora, such a relief that it’s done! 👌
Yep it's did. The only difficult classic mode route for DLC characters are Hero, Byleth, Steve, Kazuya (only easy if you do good with the character) and Sora. They're only difficult because they have stamina battles. I know I missed out on Terry's Classic mode, let's face it Terry's classic mode isn't that hard, it's fine for the most part. The A.I can be very aggressive.
@@Micgameman Here are those moments that I felt frustrated during Classic Mode with all DLC:
- Hero: Dracaufeu / Glurak / Charizard / Lizardon.
- Byleth: Alternate costumes & Corrin / Kamui.
- Steve / Alex / Zombie / Enderman: Ridley. - Kazuya: Lucario & Metal Kazuya
- Sora: Mr. Game & Watch, Daraen / Robin / Reflet & Giant Ganondorf.
@@Micgameman Not only are they stamina battles, but at least three of them are team battles, heavily favouring the enemy. From lowest to highest difficulty, Mr. Game and Watch Horde, Link/Young Link, Robin/Robin/Giant Robin all frustrate me, especially when I'm trying to get 9.9 intensity before Master Hand and Crazy Hand.

I expected either Sephiroth, Ganon or Dracula to be the final boss for Sora.
Dracan with duck hunt and dark pit would have been perfect honestly

this was one of the most frustrating classic routes. i got lucky defeating the hands at 9.9 without using a continue.
Indeed it is, Sora's Classic mode is challengimg but it did take me 6 attempts. Luckily his classic mode isn't the hardest.
@@Micgameman which one would you say is the hardest? for me it was steve but sheik was also pretty bad before her buffs. do the hands still cause a soft lock when stunning them after countering their background attack?
With metal sora you can also just loop him with up-tilt he falls fast and it’s stamina so he just takes it and can’t react.
Was actually expecting Sora to team up with Duckhunt. I was thinking the three battle in the 3 round after the second round. With the 2nd represented the heartless on Destiny Islands with the music Night of Fate battled on the beach stage. Sora partners up with Duck Hunt in a town/city stage representation of the three meeting and immediately battling Guard Armor Sora and his partner (s) battle a weakened Galleom.
Then Cloud in that stage representing the colosseum as stage 4.

Honestly as I think about it, I wonder if the final boss being Master/Crazy Hands is meant to represent Master Xehanort. I mean, *Master* hand is almost a dead give away, and the way he wiggles his fingers gives Crazy hand a run for it's money xD
The thing with Sora’s route was that it’s called the light that clears the darkness so I thought That master and crazy wouldn’t be the final round instead Darkon but this was cool either way
I liked the route, but getting 9.9 is so difficult I win and lose the route at the 2 stage and then the 3 robins stage, it’s frustrating as hell even found Steve’s route and boss much easier. The constant team fights and stamina mode is infuriating. If u get touched at all the rest of the team combos the crap out of u and they are always on your face.

I find it hard to get good ratings on Classic modes with HP fights
I feel Ganon or Dracula would make more sense as a final boss than the hands.
Ganon would be the perfect final boss in Sora's classic mode with Destiny's Force playing since both darkside and ganon can only be attacked on one part of their body such as their hand and tail respectively and they also have a common stage background.
Am I the only one who found his Classic mode really hard? Between the Links who spam projectiles, the G&Ws and Robins who gang on you, Ganondorf with his 15% damage attacks and Metal Sora.
The easiest part was Cloud because you can throw him offstage.
in my Ganondorf battle he fell off the stage haha

Out of all the classic mode battle, the only references I got was G&W and Cloud, that being the Heartless and KH1 Cloud Fight. The Robins could be referencing Organization XIII, but I have no absolute idea

When I faced against the Master Hand & Crazy Hand I used Sora's Counter on their predictable powerful direct attacks and it works quite well (a lot better than just using either the shield or dodging) as I kept on attacking and damaging them.
does counter still cause soft locks when stunning them on a background attack?

It doesn't stun them, it's more like you can easily protect yourself by nullifying whatever damage you would've taken from that one powerful direct hit and hit them back with that amount damage. Just think about possibilities you can get away with on how you use that counter against those boss battles if you know what attack moves those bosses use that you can easily counter against.
@@BladeMaster4Ever9000 no what i meant is that you can stun the hands if you damage them at a certain time regardless of what it is. counters generally can result in a stun depending on the timing of damage. none of the counters guarantee a stun. it is no different than using a normal attack to stun them which usually occurs twice in a battle.
@@BladeMaster4Ever9000 also i know how counters work against bosses in ultimate. that was my main strategy for most of them in the world of light spiritless. galleom, giga bowser and both first battles against the hands i used marth to mostly camp/counter and keep my distance. ganon i used chrom to counter his attacks and palutena is probably the best to use against all 6. it is why i brought her in the true final battle because she is the best to use in the boss rush.

Well still, that counter still does works for me and I know how and when to use it just right regardless if it does stun them or not. In fact, I can easily cheese those bosses by damaging them with Sora's counter when they use their powerful one hit direct attack.
THE TRAILER FOR SORA IN SMASH BROS ULTIMATE CAME OUTTA NOWHERE WHILE I WAS WATCHING THIS
Idk how but Sora was the only time I was able to beat Classic Mode 9.9 on with no continues on the first try.
I did it blindly. The G&W round had my heart in my throat but I pulled through and did it.
I sealed the door of clearing 9.9 Classic Mode with every fighter in this horrible version of Classic Mode finally. I feel proud albeit kinda sad...

What I don't understand is why Sora's ending picture has him in Kingdom Hearts 3 attire? Is this a future sign that he will find a way out from Quadratrum?

@@supermarioglitchy321 Yeah, at the end of WoL, a mode that has you use spirits to give you even a slight chance of winning, not to mention that fight forces you to use 3 different fighters because they know you will die at one point due to you fighting two final bosses at once. How would that be fair or even fun to anyone in classic mode, a game mode designed to punish you for dying?

You do realize all the bosses in WoL are significantly harder than they are in Classic Mode to encourage you to use spirits, right? If we go by that logic, EVERY classic mode should be impossible because you were supposed to use spirits in order to beat them.
Sora: I didn't ask for this war. But once it started, I had to finish it. Hands down, Master Hand and Crazy Hand was the toughest enemy I ever faced. All my tactics, my training, meant nothing against a god like them. In the end, it was a battle of wills. It never occurred to me that for winning, I'd get their powers. At first, I hoped to right every wrong in history. But then I figured out that doing it meant I'd have to decide the fates of billions. Picking who lives and who dies, for eternity? It was going to kill my soul. I'd end up no better than those old men who sent us off to war, not giving a foolish about what would happen. And that's not the man I want to be. It's time to walk away, for good this time, leaving the pain and the ugliness behind. After all I've been through, I've earned a little peace.
The most hyped up and most requested character gets in Smash, and his final boss is the hands, like half of the rosters final bosses. I was so disappointed and pissed off because not only was I fighting the hands yet again, I’m fighting the boss that 89% of the roster shares

1st: Hollow Bastion
2nd: Olympus

7th is Hand of Xehanort

I was originally thinking that Sora would face off against Ganon as his final opponent (since Xehanort and Ganondorf share similarities)

I would almost think Ganondorf stands in for Xehanort if he wasn't big and colored different. It is a bit of a missed opportunity

Why is Sora’s classic mode set to the health meter HP?
I guess because the fact that the white flash ko screen (reference to beating bosses or enemies in kingdom hearts series) only viable with stamina mode.
Not bad, but I think you should try again, since you forgotten that he can do 3-hit combos, his floaty movements, and the fact that he's best suited for aerial combat.
You can't really rely on skill against CPU teams/hordes with handicaps and stamina mode. I am happy that I somehow managed to beat it. This is a very annoying and difficult route. :D
