      That's awesome! I love to share my story and if it helps others to build confidence, that would truly make me happy. Best of luck in your riding journey. If you have time to look at other videos, maybe you can find ideas that can help you make your bike your own. Congrats on the Low Rider ST! You will love it!

    K..you just got another subscriber..loved your story,my wife sat and watched this with me and it’s given her a boost to get on with riding her 975 Nightster..lack of confidence and a mindset of I can’t do this..well she will be out today practising..

      Thank you so much! This is why I wanted to do this vlog and that is to inspire and encourage anyone that they can do this. It's ok to be afraid and lack confidence because it means you have respect for the ride. Continue to be her biggest cheerleader on her motorcycle journey.
      We had a chance to ride the 975 Nightster during Demo Days at the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI, and that is a nice bike! A great starter bike with some power.

      Thank you so much for checking out my video. I was fortunate enough to have found my ST sitting on the showroom floor at my local dealer. I guess I was in the right place and the right time. I know you have some time before delivery but it's worth the wait. Oh and if you want the Rockford Fostgate speaker kit, you will want to order that now. My schedule delivery is not until January 2023.

      Haha! Thanks James! Good to know I'm not alone out there. It's the quest to find the right bike that checks all the boxes, and so far I'm loving the ST. I appreciate the support. Thanks for watching the videos. Enjoy your ST and ride safe.

    The Low Rider ST is higher than your Street Glide. How are you finding it when parking, etc?

    • @mkmotoriders
      @mkmotoriders  2 года назад

      The Low Rider ST versus the Street Glide is about 200lbs lighter and not as wide. Parking is easier especially having to duck walk the bike back. Even on an incline, the ST still requires effort to push the bike back, but again with less weight once I get the momentum going I'm able to back out of the space. Hope this helps! If you have any additional questions let me know.

    Did you have to lower your ST? Or are you comfortable with the height?

    • @mkmotoriders
      @mkmotoriders  Год назад

      Hi Martha! Thanks for watching my channel. Overall, I am comfortable with the height of the bike. I didn't lower my ST as that would require replacing the shock. I have found some boots with a higher heel which has helped and for the most part I can duck walk the ST with ease.
      I am also trying to learn to ride with keeping my right foot on the peg and covering the rear brake. It is taking some getting used to but it is another trick to help if you are a shorter rider. One other thing I am practicing is walking the bike side saddle to move the bike when i can't duck walk it. That is a challenge, but I am sure it will get easier as I keep trying.
