@@MariusYoungGod Hey! Yes this is true. In my statistics, I noticed that they are most active in payments in June/July and October/November. Moreover, this may come from sales from previous years (example from my statistics: PAYMENT: Oct 12, 2020 SALES: Dec 2019). I completely agree with you that artists cannot consider Tidal as a permanent source of income until they change the timing of payments. they say in the announcements that they increase the price per stream for artists, but do not notice the really important things that would help them grow and the artists make good money. I want to convey this idea to them via linkedin in the near future.
Good Video & Nice Sea at the end, I use Tidal as a user and find that best, and hope most is getting to the musicians. (Like Soul and Funk muscic, and Jazz or LoFi) - Have nice days 🙂
@@nothingme Hello! I dont know. I did not have a goal and focus to earn only on Tidal. It happened by accident due to the fact that on other platforms my music became very popular. I think this is the surest way - to make good music and work on promo.
Thanks Bruno! Just a small correction: the data for Tidal is from 2016, they have around 60 million subs now :) Still much less than Spotify, but yeah. All best!
Hey :) is there a way to see how a track is performing on Tidal? I've checked tidal for artists but it doesn't seem to have an analytics section... Thank you!
Hey 👋 thanks for the question. Yes, Tidal for artists is quite limited in terms of features. I use it only to put social media and photos of my artists, but you can't find any information about streams there. Only good distribution companies can help you see the stats. I like Tidal, but this fact is really sad
Hey! I've just checked this in my CDBaby stats 😂 REPORT DATE - Nov 04, 2020 > SALES DATE - Dec 31, 2019; REPORT DATE - Apr 06, 2021 > SALES DATE - Mar 31, 2020; REPORT DATE it's an actual date when money come
It may even take longer than 3 months. My first payment from Tidal came 6 months after sales. But maybe a lot depends on the distributor, because it collects and sends you payments. Just that I looked in my statistics on CDBaby, the last payment from Tidal came to me Nov 16, 2021 for Jul and Jun 2021
It doesnt depend on the number of streams at tidal! For example, if you listen 100 songs per month. Tidal takes a little cut of your hifi plus subscription, the rest goes to the artists. You only get paid by streams coming from hifi plus accounts. 50 of Drake, 30 of Eminem, 20 of Tupac........ Drake gets the biggest cut of the remaining like 16 dollars........ Eminem little less than him and so on. Your 20 dollar subscription gets split between the artists you listen to. You cant just stream the hell out of one guy and that he will get paid tons of money. Spotify days are over.
I got tired of supporting Spotify so I switched. Good to know I was right to choose Tidal, thanks!
Good choice! Interesting. Recently, I've seen a trend of people changing Spotify to Tidal (for various reasons).

hey i have a question. How do they pay artist? Is it by streams on the song or is it by 10% of the hifi plus subscription.
platforms pay for streams. But the formation of the price for the stream depends on many factors, including the level of the listener's subscription.
