It’s even an easier choice now …. Come April 10, in the US at least, Tidal Hifi Plus will be $10.99 … tidal cd quality and hi res will be combined into one price / tier 😂 Spotify HIFI no more
For years Spotify promised a high res option was coming. Well it's 2024 and still haven't released a higher quality version.

I been wanting to switch from RUclips music to either Apple music or Tidal. Those are the 2 I been debating on purchasing but can't decide, I have a andriod phone no apple products so can't decide which sounds best or if there about the same quality. What you think tidal or apple music
I'm from the future as I post, but in the past when you read it. Stupid time. Now it is all plus. On my 2 months trial. defo keeping it. Not sure I can cancel my youtube sub, but feeling okay with the new Tidal pricing. Shaking up the game.
I used to spend several hundred dollars a month buying music. Now most music is essentially free and I worry about whether to save $2 or whatever on this or that streaming service. So ashamed of myself...
I might use Tidal since they support artists more fairly with pay. YT music dosen't pay anyone well and Spotify is choking out its indie artists rather quickly now. Deezer is my next choice but they have a limit on how many artists I can follow.
Tidal hi-res now only £3 a month here in Thailand beat that.
Interesting that some hi-res files on Tidal aren’t really hi-res, that is, 24/96 minimum. I use Apple Music and occasionally, I will listen to a labelled hi-res file (which should be at least 24/96, 24/192 at best) but my DAC encode light will not indicate that. I come to find out that the actual rate of those files are 24/48, which seems unusual. So I’m guessing the CD-quality sample rate cut off is 44.1K and the hi-res codec starts at 96k.
Came here absolutely frustrated by Qobuz app....again! It is just getting worst. I hate going back to Tidal and its pushing of hip hop in recommendations but f*

it looks like Tidal Hifi and Hifi plus are being merged in the US. Don't know what that means, but either there will be one lower price, or one higher price, depending on your previous service choice. LOL
What is the device you are using at 55s?
Wish tital was good but it's not. Have tried it twice both times it worked for a while but stopped connecting.
Would you say Tidal is good for Live Music or it just refers back to the output you’re giving
I've ditched Amazon as a platform, because we all know we should. But if quality is your buzz Amazon Music, everything is 'HD' which is CD up to 192kbs at 24bits and Dolby Atmos if you have the hardware to play the stream, gives you a nice visual of the output stack. My sound card can only do 96kbs. £11pm. Sadly let down a bit by their software (I put on a post rock playlist and got Florence + the Machine) but I give them some credit for working on it faster than Spotify has over the years. Its a decent stab at a streaming player. I'm unsure about the 100 Million tunes. Nothing I played was ever less than HD, perhaps there are lower quality ones, they say they host whatever they get given.
