- Lily and I sit down and change the tire on Kristen's Onewheel. I teach Lily how to change the tire step by step. Our hope is to help to get the new tire on and floating again. Please now that doing this will void any warranty.
On this channel we drop weekly Onewheel videos. Those videos might be Onewheel races (Sundays @ 10am), how to Onewheel videos, new products in the community and so much more.

Watching this video again … just because I can and will :)
lol thanks for watching again. You are the best.
@@ScotMendenhall also helped as a refresher when I put on a Hoosier tire for my wifeys pint few days back lol. It’s not as easy as it looks for the first time. Maybe mine will be easier now. Idk lol
Thanks for the nice video😊
I do not take off the front foot pad, but I do remove the front bumper to disconnect the cable to the motor.
I take the 4 axle bolts out and keep the rails intact with the battery and front computer.
The tire hub slides out not requiring to take the rails apart.
Just a friendly reminder, I love your youtube channel and you have a cool family!
Wow this makes this process look so much easier!
Take your time and it really is easy
It wasn’t too bad
Winter approaches and we had our first snowfall here in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is now time for me to do my first tyre change on my Pint to my C&R treaded model! This video helped get me pumped up to finally getting round to it!🙏🏾
Thanks for making this I can’t wait to MAYBE put a treaded tire on!
Go for it!
Remember you will get a lot less range
You got this
Hey I have been watching you for a couple weeks because I have been wanting a Onewheel pint
Awesome! I hope you get one!
Has it arrived yet?
@@ScotMendenhall no I still need like 200 dollars but watching videos to make Shure I want one
Been waiting for my Quart battery to come in to install the XtraRad I have. Absolutely perfect timing for this vid as the Quart arrives today!! Thank you both for the awesome vid! Float on! 🤙🏼
can't wait to hear how your install goes. let us know
Awesome! Thanks for watching
Thanks for all the help! I’ll be ordering a threaded pint tire ! Thanks again
You'll love it
Bro I swear I opened youtube to search for a tutorial cuz I'm doing it today lol great timing Scott
That's awesome to hear.
Awesome!!
Great video! Teaching Lily at the same time made the video super chill and will definitely help out people who are nervous about the tyre change. Keep it up bro
Thanks it was so much fun to do. She did a great job
love your video
Thanks so much
I just successfully changed out my pint x tire. And thanks to your video I didn't monkey with 2×4s or anything to break the bead; I just muscled it off. Though I did get a face-full of that green slime! Merry Christmas to me! Thanks again!
Oh lordy.... My was racing this episode XD Great job Lily!!!
So was lily's
Lol right! This isn’t a small task. Thanks for watching!
I’d like to change my pint tire soon and this video will be great help, thanks for posting this!
No problem 👍
Been waiting for this. Thanks!!
Your disclaimer should have included that if you do this before your first year is through, it voids your warranty. But good warning anyways.
Solid work.
True. We do a whole video about that where we chase a treaded tire through our city. All to realize it’ll void the warranty🤪
Great point!
I was able too just now successfully break the bead bare handed lol. Thanks too Scot’s knee grip trick.. but getting that tire off is a royal challenge 😅
Great job!
@@ScotMendenhall I just hope people pay attention too “tire rotation arrow” and make sure it’s going the right spin direction
Your videos need more Lily'ness in them 👍🏿 Also, very entertaining and educating vid! I have changed the tire on my xr already, and have new tires for the pints on the way, and the twins are going to do the swap alone with your vid as a guideline. my boys loves to watch the vids with your kids riding, so sad there is not many onewheels here in norway, so it can be boring to ride alone, but we try to go to new places and check out trails and stuff. Have a good one :)
Thanks for the love! I’ll be sure to weasel my way into more mid week videos 😝
I can't wait to hear how the new tires go
Thanks for making this video!!!
My pleasure!
@@ScotMendenhall, I got the FF Whisper and just installed it on one of our Onewheel+. It’s a little late so I will install the other one tomorrow and test it out then too. :) I’m pretty excited about it.
Great video. Perfect for the knowledge. I personally don’t have one. I have a Summerboard, but either way great video
Thanks for watching!
Also you can seat the bead without the valve stem plug in it. It makes it a lot easier to get air into the tire then you only have to put it in once.
The video I've been waiting for!!! Lily you did a good job!!
Glad you liked it!!
Thanks Noah :)
Thank you a lot for this video 👍🏻 wish my tire will length 1000000 miles before to have to replace it 🤦🏻♂️😂
Good luck!
If future motion says thats not the way it should have been done, then just blame it on Lily, problem solved. 🤷🏻♂️ Lily is such a trooper, she can do my XR.
I feel like you roasted me and complimented me all in one comment. It’s cool I’m here for it. And yes I will do your XR tire change too🤪
@@lilywiener102 o gosh! 🤭 (whispering) you weren’t supposed to hear that. Lol! Yes, you can do my xr when the time comes, I’m gonna have to learn that so I can do it myself when I retire soon and movie to the riviera maya and onewheel thru the jungle. 🤙 keep schredding lil sis.
Shhhh that's the plan. LOL
Nice work! I really recommend a 6” go-kart bead breaker! They sell them on Amazon, best $30 you’ll ever spend if you’re changing tires often enough 🤙🏼
Thanks for the tip!
@@ScotMendenhall My pleasure dude
Great video, I watched the whole video.
Awesome thank you!
I AM WITH YOU LILLY...GOT TO HAVE ME SOME PICKLES...MAY BE THAT ATHLETE IN ME BUT IT WORKS WONDERS FOR MY LEG CRAMPS....!!!!
They are tasty
I was waiting for this one! Once my warranty expires this video will come in handy :)
Good to hear!
I was informed that the warranty seals are on the rails so changing out the tires would not void the warranty. Is this inaccurate?
Before I switched my tire I emailed Ow and they said if I put on another tire in the 1st year then I would lose the warranty. I have seen other say something different but I got this info from OW,
@@ScotMendenhall Thanks Scot!
Can you do a tire change for the XR? They're different In Tire change are they I would gladly appreciate it I love your Videos...
there isn't much differences with the XR and PINT tire changes. But next time i change the tire I might do a video
“You said ‘wet compound?’” 🥴 and “What does that even mean *break the bead*” fav comments lol
Enjoyed the video. I think the XR is the one for me to get though. (I’m a Bigger guy) love the range on the XR. Still waiting to see if the XR gets a refresh this year. (Shocks, Extended Battery, etc.)
Good choice!
@@ScotMendenhall Do you feel like a refresh is coming this year?
@@dalemartin6063 The common consensus is a resounding no. From what I've gathered they are in the recouping profits stage after shelling out $$$ on R&D to produce the first few models. So I caved and bought a Pint this past Xmas. Don't regret it at all!
@@stu7900 I probably will get a XR doesn’t look like a new one is coming this year. I could always sell it for the new one. They seem to sell pretty quick. Probably will purchase late summer.
@@dalemartin6063Great idea. I am gonna get an xr too. Would have started there, but my cousin finally said he'd get a pint and I didn't wanna one up him lol. But now we're both talking xr's!
Would love to hear the feedback on the differences in ride (pavement and trail) with the new tire. Your channel is great, Scott!
We have new tire reviews coming soon
Do you think we need some kind of torque wrench to make sure that the bolts for the hub are well installed? Thx
Easiest way to break the bead by yourself is with two clamps
great idea
Could I use this video to change my XR's tire? This video is very detailed. Also, Hoosier Slick or Burris Slick for XR?
Yes you can
When you put the tire back on you should really put some more sealant or slime back in the wheel so that you don't get a flat. You can get sealant from any bike shop. If the tire is not seating you can use an air compressor or go to a bike shop and they could
Great wisdom here. Thanks for sharing
Niceeee
Thanks 🤗
Yeah bro
Quick question. When do you have to change your tire ? I have 121 miles on my one wheel pint
I'm thinking strongly about buying a treaded tire for my Pint. I want something that'll be good on singletrack trails with roots and rocks, but I also ride around the neighborhood. Recommendations? Is there anything new coming down the pipe I should hold out for?
craft and ride burris treaded pint. they use the same compount as the float life Trail Pro for the XR. super soft compound, stronger sidewalls but alot of give for a smooth ride.
I just stumbled upon the preorders for that last night. Thanks for confirming my thoughts!
The C&R treaded tire it great. We did a review a few months ago about that tire. We also have done reviews on Hoosier treaded tire.
Lily!!! Love the blood blister!!! 🤣🤣🤣 #iykyk
Ha only you saw that. That girl is always lifting.
If I wanted to install another stock tire, where do I get it? Does TFL carry it? Or C&R...thx in advance Scott!
Craft and Ride have them.
(HELP!) Ever since I unassembled and reassembledy my Onewheel Pint. After replacing the tire. It now turns on by itself with a little tampering on the front and back sensors... or if I rock it back and forth. It turns on without the power button, after doing that.... and about the passed month It's turned off about 5 times by itself when I'm riding it. Had 2 pavement crashes, especially the 2nd one was pretty gnarly... is something possibly wrong with the wires? Like they're not fully plugged in? Or the battery's going bad now?
Oh no. Ok there is a lot that could be happening. But it could be the sensor. Have you unplugged it and plugged it back in? If you can borrow someones footpad to see if that's the issue that would be awesome. You then would just need to order a set. Try this and let me know.
@@ScotMendenhall that could be.
.. I'll try. But why does the battery cut off when I'm riding it? It completely shuts off (about 5 times in one month).... oh BTW I'm coming to the Twin Cities this weekend! (I know you live in Minnesota) then Nov 21st. Vikings hosting Packers!
You don’t have to take the rails off there is plastic brackets under the axle on the bottom and you can take those out and have the wheel come down like the XR on a tire change
Ok that's awesome. I didn't know that.
Give this man the votes to jump to the top.
A perfectly placed random banana.
Lol dom it was actually on my desk and it was Scot’s clever reaction to my snack comment
In this office that's all that is here. Random stuff. lol
please call Stoke Life Service
Will there be a place in Las Vegas that I can just pay someone to do all the onewheel changes I need? I break shit soooo... Yeah 🙄
How many lbs torque when reinstalling?
Just tight enough. but as of lbs i have no idea
Yo Scot- when are you reviewing the new FF Nimbus tire for the pint???
they have not started shipping them yet. WE have one coming when they do.
Does anyone know the torque specs for the axle bolts on the xr or the pint? I would like to put mine back to soec if at all possible
I thought you where going to drop all the screws in the container so many times
Ha that would have been rough
Lol. It could’ve happened.
We need a quartz review by Scott
What is a quartz?
Its a replacement of your stock battery with 12-16 miles range for the pint
Is it the same with pint x?
975 miles and wore my tire out at the sides so trying to change mine … cross fingers!
How much PSI is too much for making the bead? We are at 40 PSI and it still didn't pop
I would assume you got it by now. But it could take up to 60 or more to get it to set
@@ScotMendenhall I went up to 90 psi and it still didn't have the second pop. Then I had to leave Busan to go back to Daegu, where I live. I told my friend to let the air out lube it up with the tire sealant, again, move the tire around again, then go to a car shop and have them use their pump. I was thinking that would work better because they could pump more air in faster and higher. It popped, sealed, and it's all good now. I told him to remember what PSI but if course he didn't. When I did it the first side popped at 50 psi, I'm guessing the second side popped around 90-100. Craft and Ride said "it will seal at 90-100 or earlier, but stand away from it if you are going up to the 90-100 PSI." So long story short I don't have a perfect answer but I think the first side sealed at 50 and the second around 90-100.
My friend took it to a tire shop, for cars, and apparently the guy trimmed the tire a little. I wasn't happy when I heard that, but maybe he did a good job and trimmed it evenly... What do you think about someone trimming it a little so it goes on easier?
If I was you I would buy some tire spoons meant for dirt bikes
It's not too hard to get the wheel out without removing the rails.
I'll try that next time
Why didn’t you fill it with slime again 🤦🏻♂️
I change tires so much that it really doesn't matter
Find another tutorial so you don’t tear apart your entire board for no reason
yeah, i liked your videos UNTIL you guys tricked me in to a aftershow cult meeting and recruiting session. How rude, dude!
Sorry that it felt that way, That was not what we were doing at all. We know not everyone wants to hear some of those things thats why we put in on another channel. All we were hoping to do is help make your life better and help you live life better.
…looks like a huge pain in the ass.
Painful asf to watch
Omg I wish I saw this vid. Someone told me the screwdriver 🪛 method 🙀
